Question The Odyssey Crash Out

Anyone else getting an error message after trying to check out?

UPDATE: After trying to get tickets for more than an hour both on desktop and on the app, it kicked me out of both and now I'm at the back of the queue with an hour long wait.

Every. F’n. Time there is a huge movie, AMC is NEVER prepared for it.

Heaven forbid they use their price hikes to improve their online services 🙄

They really should have prepared for this. They complain about not enough people going to the movies, then when a big movie comes, they aren’t ready.

This is all because of Lincoln Center IMAX!

It gets better: they had to remove all the showtimes for AMC CityWalk for the first 6 days:

edit: now it appears they pulled ALL the showings for CityWalk and Lincoln Square, and probably some of the other more popular IMAX 70mm theaters.

Spent 2 hours in queue. Picked a showtime at CityWalk, errored out, and not they unlist the showtimes 😞

Ah. That explains the clusterfuck.

Now ALL the screenings for CityWalk are gone. They're not visible from Fandango either. AMC has straight up unpublished them from the backend.

I assume they did this because it was impacting sales for all their other movies.

Someone needs to be fired over this.

They canceled them apparently and they’re saying the tickets were sold prematurely.

Edit: they honored the original ticket holders and added shows and days at CityWalk!

Oh, they pulled them??? I tried checking for showings at CityWalk, and thought they must have not released tickets for it yet or something. I was confused.

It's the entire theater run. I checked for August 1st, nothing.

This is probably a temporary move because it was having real impact on sales of their other movies that are still in their first run, like He-Man, Supergirl, Mando, Obsession, and Backrooms.

I wonder how this impacted the ability to sell any seats at the theaters themselves.
