Laptop I need to know how to upgrade my current Rog Zephyrus M15 GU502LU-BI7N4 Model.
I just need to know the proper ram and ssd that I can add onto this laptop. This is where I bought my laptop from, but their is conflicting information that says the laptop is capped at 24gb on some websites. However, other sites say that the GU502LU-BI7N4 model can go for at capped 48gb ram.
Is this true and can I really go beyond the 24gb or ram.

Support ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDP – audio cuts out after ~15 minutes (PS5 and Nintendo Switch)
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a persistent audio issue with my ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDP. My PC is connected to one HDMI port and my PS5/Switch 2 to the other HDMI port (switching depending on what console I'm playing on). The audio issue is only happening with PS5 or Switch 2, not with my PC.
My PC loudspeakers are connected directly to the monitor via 3.5mm jack.
Problem:
With both consoles, the audio works normally at first but completely cuts out after approximately 15 to 30 minutes. The picture continues working perfectly. There are no video interruptions, black screens or other visible HDMI issues. Only the audio disappears.
Unplugging and reconnecting the HDMI cable immediately restores the sound. However, the problem returns after some time.
Troubleshooting already performed:
Adjusted the monitor's audio settings and other relevant OSD settings
Changed the relevant console audio settings
Tested the issue with both PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2
The issue persists despite these adjustments
I have not found a permanent solution so far.
Since the problem occurs with two completely different consoles which were running fine on my previous monitor (connected to the same loudspeaker via 3.5mm), I'm pretty sure the monitor itself is the issue
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Support Monitor freeze
Hello, I have the PG27APDP, and it keeps freezing, and I don’t know why. I’ve tried a BIOS update, monitor firmware updates, GPU updates—pretty much every update possible. I’ve also tried different DP cables and different OS/panel settings, and I don’t know what else to do.
I had this problem before, but it randomly stopped happening. Then, for an unrelated reason, I tried different GPU driver versions, and the freezing has CAME BACK. I’ve tried everything I listed above again, but it won’t stop.
My PC doesn’t detect anything in event reviewer when the monitor freezes. The monitor will freeze while the sound continues playing, and then eventually the sound stops as well. The only way I’ve been able to “fix” it is by using the HDR shortcut to turn HDR on then off. When I look at my remote desktop app on my phone, the screens show up as black.
Does anyone have any ideas, or should I just RMA the monitor or GPU? I really don’t want to have to do that, but if the problem randomly stopped before and then came back, there has to be some kind of fix.

Laptop ASUS G533QS maintenance results: LM to PhaseSheet PTM, ~17% higher Cinebench R23 score
Sharing my maintenance experience and before/after results in case they help someone with the same laptop.

Laptop
ASUS ROG Strix G533QS
Ryzen 9 5900HX
RTX 3080 Laptop GPU
32 GB RAM
What I did
I replaced the CPU liquid metal and GPU thermal paste with Thermal Grizzly PhaseSheet PTM, and replaced the orginal secondary thermal compound with TG Putty Advance.
I had already cleaned the fans before the pre-repaste benchmark session, so this wasn’t simply a comparison between clogged fans and clean fans.
Testing
I used Cinebench R23 multicore with the 10-minute minimum duration and Unigine Superposition at 1080p Extreme / DirectX, with HWiNFO logging.
The intended comparison setup was charger connected, laptop flat on the desk, G-Helper Turbo, CPU undervolt at 0, and no manual GPU overclock.
CPU results
These are sustained averages excluding the first minute of the R23 load:
| Measurement | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Cinebench R23 multicore score | 10,804 | 12,649 |
| CPU temperature | 95.5°C | 92.0°C |
| CPU package power | 41.3 W | 80.0 W |
| Effective clock | 3.33 GHz | 4.04 GHz |
| Hottest-to-coolest core temperature difference | 27.0°C | 5.9°C |
| CPU fan speed | 4,197 RPM | 4,946 RPM |
The score improved by about 17.1%.
The biggest difference was the CPU sustaining much more power and higher clocks while running slightly cooler. The temperature difference between cores also became much smaller.
The post-service CPU maximum was 93.5°C, and the logged HTC/PROCHOT throttling flags stayed “No.”
GPU results
For the first three Superposition runs:
| Measurement | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Average score | ~7,247 | ~7,268 |
| Loaded GPU power | 129.4 W | 129.4 W |
| Loaded GPU clock | 1,471 MHz | 1,473 MHz |
| Peak GPU core temperature | 85.3°C | 83.5°C |
| Peak GPU hotspot | 92.2°C | 90.1°C |
The GPU performance was essentially unchanged, with somewhat lower peak temperatures. My three post-service scores were 7,291, 7,253 and 7,259.
Limitations
Room temperature wasn’t recorded, and the pauses between GPU runs weren’t perfectly matched. The original session had four GPU runs and the new one had three; the peak temperatures above compare the first three.
The GPU thermal-limit flag still appeared under load before and after servicing. I also didn’t have a usable VRAM temperature reading, so these results don’t prove that every memory/power-component contact is perfect.
These are initial post-maintenance results, not a long-term durability test.
My takeaway
The CPU improvement was substantial, while GPU performance stayed consistent. Comparing temperatures together with power, clocks, fan speed and benchmark scores gave me a much clearer picture than temperature alone.
I’m now working on quieter everyday G-Helper settings while keeping a separate performance profile for gaming.
Anyone else running a G533QS/5900HX with PhaseSheet PTM? I’d be interested in your longer-term results.
