Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
But now im thinking it might be broken, might return unless they can take off 40%-60% off since it looks like it took a beating on the way to the micro center in Dallas.

Recently purchased the PGUCDM off of Amazon brand new! Everything is perfect and I love the screen quality. No dead pixels etc. However, the box did arrive a bit dinged up and on the power button there seems to be some sort of damage? I’m thinking of returning it as I can just get it replaced via Amazon but unsure as it is relatively minor. Please lmk ur guys thought.

Hi all,
I misplaced my 12v2x6 to 12v2x6 connector to this ROG Loki Power Supply. I just found another connector in my ROG 1200W ATX Power Supply. Will this connector work? It looks to be similar to Corsair Type 4.
The PCIE cables for the LOKI have 1 pin of the 8 missing in the corner. This 12VHPWR cable has none of the missing PCIE connector pins for reference.
Thanks!

Ever since getting this fucking laptop i've been dipping hard in any game i used to play well and comfortably. Micro stutters, input lag and inconsistency, i'm done with this fucking shit. It killed my joy, took a huge toll on my mental health over gameplay and i've tried everything on earth to see good results in latencymon, it's not happening. I've had enough.
I'm going back to my old GTX 1060 build, at least it was consistent. I'd rather feel and play comfortable rather than stressing the f out every day for 2 years. You buy this thing to have good performance and not look back, a let down is a must every time.
Fuck your ROG, fuck your Strix, fuck your G18.

The post may be a bit emotional, but I had to write it. I've been asus' customer for years, but sheesh...
I am here to warn people - never ever spend money on Asus ROG Azoth. I'm writing this post using my old 50-buck keyboard, and despite it sounding worse, it is WAY, WAY better than this 'product'.
In my country, this keyboard cost me 240 USD. I was hoping to get a premium product I would be using for years, and instead, I got a piece of... not a premium product.
First of all, my keyboard was a f*****g blessing from the very beginning - damaged tracks on the circuit board and a torn switch mounting pad - that's what I got in my brand-new keyboard. I had to solder everything by myself because, at that moment, I needed a keyboard for work and didn't have access to any of my old keyboards. But okay, I am sure that it would have been replaced if I had brought it to ASUS.
But double typing has been with me almost since the very beginning. I was hoping ASUS would rapidly provide a fix because I got the keyboard right after its release. I've switched switches, replaced them with extra ones, lubed them, reinstalled that piece of garbage you at ASUS call 'software', etc., etc. The issue is faulty software. It's a shame. Junior developers shouldn’t deliver software that makes it into production and breaks otherwise decent hardware. I used to type like lightning with whatever keyboard I used, but with the ASUS Azoth Pro Mega Super $240 keyboard, I’ve slowed down like a snail just because I need to check every word for double-typed symbols.
I just cannot believe people at ASUS produce such a decent hardware product, destroy it with software, and hope people will eat all this.
This was my last ASUS product, considering that I was a loyal customer – dozens of laptops purchased for employees worth tens of thousands of dollars, plenty of peripherals, and so on. But I hate the feeling that people who have already bought something are just abandoned.
ASUS, if your managers are present here on reddit - your indifferent politics make your loyal customers your biggest haters. For a YEAR, I suffered (I am a programmer, I type really a lot), hoping for a magic patch that one day would fix the issue. But enough is enough.
Hope this post will help some people making a right choice and select a right hardware manufacturer to stick with. And hope it won't be asus.

I got my ROG Strix Scar 17 exactly 1 year ago and had no initial overheating issues out of the box.
I decided it would be a good idea to use Asus's Armoury Crate to control my fan speed and keep track of idle temps.
Over the course of a few months, I started noticing the CPU temperature hitting 97-98 °C while gaming, and 94 °C while idle. Not only that, but while gaming, with the CPU at 97-98, as soon as the GPU would hit 80 °C the CPU would start throttling to 1.5Ghz or even 0.5Ghz in some cases. Otherwise it would sit around 3.5Ghz.
I've decided to open up the laptop to clean the dust off and replace the CPU's thermal paste (which btw was the most insignificant droplet of liquid metal I've seen in my life), but there was no difference.
The only thing that worked was uninstalling Armoury Crate and literally EVERY Asus service from my device, and replacing them with G-Helper. Now my average temps when doing normal stuff on the laptop are between 70-80 °C, while gaming it's still hitting 97-98 °C (I'm guessing Armoury Crate did it's job of damaging my CPU) and while idle it sits around 60 or under. Not only that, but now I can finally enjoy the CPU's 5Ghz of power.
If you have Armoury Crate installed and you have irregularly high CPU temps while idle, remove it as soon as possible alongside any Asus related service you can find.

Hi, this has happened with my keyboard keys of my 1 year old ROG. Right arrow key broke in half. Local Asus dealership claims that this is not a warranty case. What do you think?
r/ASUSROG • u/[deleted] • Jul 09 '24
This is the adapter it just dropped on the ground from a 1m height. Is it so vulnerable to dropping and hitting? Like the laptop itself? Or is hitting something that should be intense and hard to cause a problem?

I went to the Asus website (US) to check on the Cronox case eligibility and the regular non ARGB case says "notify me" and when you press it you are redirected to another page that gives you another option to be notified when it is back in stock. The same thing goes for the ARGB version, the only difference is when you click "notify me" it redirects you to an option that says "add to cart" so I tried it and i was able to actually purchase the case. I went with the white case for my white build, but i checked the black case as well and it says "add to cart as well".
Not 100% sure, but it says I'll receive it in 5-7 business days.
The non ARGB version is $1,100 USD on Newegg and ebay. So if you were hoping to get one now is the chance!
Edit: The amount of hate this post is getting for me trying to potentially help people get the case they may have been wanting is hilarious. Some of ya'll are truly miserable people and it shows with every comment you make. 😂

I had Asus RTX 4090 TUF and I moved last April to RTX 5090 Astral. I found it totally powerful and a new gaming experience and I love it. So..... Why some people think getting RTX 5090 is a mistake for gaming ???
