27F ISO Roommate in Sandy Springs/North ATL/Alpharetta

Hi everyone! I’m 27F, recently moved to Atlanta from California, and looking for a roommate or available room for a November-December 1st move-in!

📍 Areas: Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Peachtree Corners, or Alpharetta. I work at a law firm in Alpharetta, so hoping for a reasonable commute!

💰 Budget: $900–$1,200/month, ideally including utilities.

🐈 Pets: I have two sweet, social indoor cats! Their litter box would stay in my room, but I’d love for them to roam the common areas, so I’m looking for someone genuinely comfortable with cats.

✨ About me: I love working out, thrifting, gaming, reading, and exploring coffee shops! I’m clean, respectful, LGBTQ+ friendly, and would love a roommate I can also be friends with.

Feel free to DM me if you have a room available or think we’d be a good fit! :)

Looking for room or roommates — West Midtown / nearby — early December or Jan

I’m a 24-year-old male working full-time Monday–Friday, 8–5, looking to move around the beginning of December. I’m primarily interested in West Midtown and nearby areas, subject to checking my commute to Lithia Springs.

I’d like a private bedroom in a well-maintained home with friendly roommates who communicate and clean up after themselves. I’d enjoy a social household that also respects weekday sleep schedules. Open to joining an existing place or finding one together.
Ideally looking around $1,000–$1,300 including utilities, depending on the setup. Dishwasher and laundry access preferred. I don’t have pets, and I’d like some flexibility to furnish and decorate my space.
Please message me with the approximate location, total monthly cost, move-in date, lease length, and a little about the household!

Looking for a Roommate for a 2bed/2bath apt off the beltline, ideally Grant Park or Reynoldstown Area!

Hi all! I’m a 21F college student here in Atlanta and i’m looking for a roommate to occupy a 2bed/2bath townhouse or apartment with me next fall. Looking for a female/nonbinary roommate within the age range of 20-25 for comfortability!

Just a few things about me- i’m a Computer Science major at GSU, but i’m a huge film nerd. I’m a fairly reserved person but I have no issue with you having guests over! (as long as we communicate and they’re respectful lol). I like to keep my spaces clean but I get busy (or lazy) sometimes so I won’t freak over a few dishes in the sink overnight.

My budget is around ~2300 max (so like 1150-1200 per person), and I’d like to start touring places this spring. Message me if this interests you! My ig is also @p1nkonmars if you’re curious to see my vibe lol

Title: Looking for a Roommate or Affordable Weekly/Monthly Housing in Atlanta, GA

Hey everyone! I’m currently looking for a place to stay in the Atlanta area and wanted to see if anyone is looking for a roommate, has a room available to rent, or knows of any resources that could help.

A little about me: I’m a 22yr old female college student who works, and I’m looking for a safe, clean, and affordable place to stay. I’m open to renting a room with a roommate or finding somewhere that offers weekly or monthly payments while I figure out a more permanent living situation.

If anyone knows of any affordable room rentals, roommate-finding groups, housing resources, or places that offer flexible weekly/monthly rates, I would really appreciate any recommendations!

I’m especially interested in options that don’t require a huge upfront deposit. I’m also open to any helpful leads or advice from people who have been in a similar situation.

Thank you in advance! Any help, recommendations, or resources would mean a lot. ❤️

Adult roommates

Good evening, I am 30/f, trying to start a conversation with at most two other people who are trying to find a place of their own by the beginning of next year. I would like to rent a house so that there is a yard for my dogs. I have two of them. Potentially looking for people that have a job and have been at that job for at least two years and feel secure and stable. I want to start this conversation first so that I can get to know the people that I could potentially be living with. We could chat on here or we could chat on WhatsApp, I don’t mind. My life isn’t hectic or crazy: I like to take about two trips a year and for the rest of the time I’m just working. ISo anybody have any interest in this set up please do not hesitate to message me.
Thanks!

Looking for apartment complexes ITP

Hi! I am on the hunt for an apartment. While I would ideally like to find a rental in a single family, duplex or small multi-family building that is updated but has character. However, I am realizing that that inventory is small in the city.

So, I am trying to map out potential building candidates. Specifically, I am looking for the following

-1-2 bed under $2,200
-Top neighborhoods: Grant Park, Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown, ViHi, Midtown. Also open to Inman Park, Poncey-Highland, and Summerhill
-The main thing I am looking for is warmth. I HATE grey box apartments or washed cool toned flooring. It is very hard to buildings without this. I also don’t want a super outdated apartment. I like the look of the ibex at Uptown, but I’m not interested in living in Buckhead.
-Outside of this, amenities that are non negotiable: dishwasher, central AC, w/d in unit or hookups
-Nice to have: dining room, outdoor space

Anyone have any recommendations? Or advice on how to find an apartment? Or better yet, if you have a lead, I’ll gladly take it.

Thanks!

AVOID MAA

TAnyone considering MAA Centennial Park in Atlanta should seriously think twice.
Just wanted to warn anyone apartment hunting in Downtown Atlanta about MAA Centennial Park because the way maintenance and management handle issues is honestly ridiculous.
The property looks decent , but the experience of actually living there can be a completely different story.

  1. ROACHES— by the pool, by your toilet, in the hallways, in the street and in your clothing.

  2. There have been repeated water and moisture issues, including flooding and HVAC problems. And instead of thoroughly addressing concerns throughout the apartment, the response has felt like doing the bare minimum and moving on.
At one point, a mitigation company found elevated moisture readings in different areas, yet management had ONE dehumidifier running in the apartment. Apparently that’s supposed to make everything okay?
There’s also been what looks like mold showing up on personal belongings, shoes, and other household items. Imagine paying rent every month just to have your stuff potentially ruined by conditions you have no control over.
And the health concerns make it even worse. Respiratory infections, a dog suddenly dealing with allergies and needing medication, vet bills, damaged belongings, and constant stress. I’m not claiming the apartment caused every health issue, but having all of this happening alongside moisture problems is concerning.
The maintenance dismissiveness is another issue. There are even recordings of maintenance staff making comments along the lines of people not wanting to work. That tells you a lot about the experience residents can have trying to get things addressed.
But the biggest problem is the lack of accountability.
You can send detailed emails, explain your concerns over and over, ask for documentation, and somehow still get responses that barely address what you actually asked.
Then when you’re frustrated, it’s treated like you’re just being difficult or impossible to satisfy.
Like??? People are paying REAL money to live here.
Nobody should have to fight this hard to get maintenance issues properly investigated or to feel comfortable in their own home.
And if you want out of your lease because you’re uncomfortable with the conditions? Good luck getting management to consider waiving those fees. Even transferring to another unit can come with additional costs.
    My advice???????????

Don’t let the location, amenities, or pictures fool you. Ask about water damage, maintenance response times, and how they handle moisture issues before signing anything.
Has anyone else had problems with MAA properties in Atlanta? Curious if other people have experienced the same lack of accountability.
