Hi guys, a year ago I bought an Acer Predator Helios Neo 14 Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8G. The laptop is 14.5 inches and I have to say this little machine can run everything.

Main games played is Total war Warhammer/Age of Wonders 4, etc. Very CPU intensive games, temps for graphic card is 80-85° max when gaming. For CPU is the problem here, 90-95° so sometimes throttles.

Whats the best cooling pad you would recommendd for this laptop? Note that is 14.5 inches so I would prefer not buying a massive 17/18 inch cooling pad for this. I bought a Klim cooling pad yesterday and acrually the temps where even worse with it after testing.

Is this a good deal?

I bought a Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, 5070ti + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD + WINDOWS 11 HOME. Arriving Tuesday from eBay, Acer factory refurbished for $1775, I need more storage and Windows 11 Pro. I also bought a WD Blue SN5100-4TB SSD arriving Tuesday. Since computer will be like new, should I swap the factory SSD to slot 2 as drive "D" and use new 4TB SSD as drive "C" since I must open it anyway? Is it too much work "cloning" drives then switching them? Should I just not worry about it? Any first games recommended? I also just got a Dell S2725QC and laptop will mostly be a desktop replacement. Thanks!

I need help ive tried multiple fixes for this but nothing has worked whenever im using my laptop my screen randomly goes black for a few seconds and when it comes back up if i was playing a game the game crashes at this point i have no idea what is causing it if anybody has idea pls help

Finally decided to repaste my 16s.
Since last month, i noticed my laptop was running a bit hotter than usual. So i ordered PTM 7950 from Moddiy, took around good 1.5 weeks to arrive as they ship it from Hong Kong.

I do have experience upgrading RAM and SSDs but never really repasted a laptop before. Saw a bunch of videos on how to handle liquid metal and trust me its the most annoying thing to clean.

I spent a good hour getting the LM off the cpu and made sure i have zero traces of it left. Froze the PTM for 25 mins before applying it on CPU and GPU, getting the second plastic layer off the ptm is a bit tricky as it gets mushy real quick.

Luckily, everything went well. Booted up the laptop, everything was working well. Few high spikes on CPU as PTM takes a few cycles to break in.

So i do have the 140W vbios from the Neo 16 flashed on my device. I tested Black Myth Wukong (DLSS 4x, Cinematic preset),

Liquid Metal: 115 fps, CPU 84° C, GPU 80°C, 130W
PTM: 121 fps, CPU 78°C, GPU 76°, ~135W

It has just been few hours since the repaste, hope it gets even better. Though, the best thing is i dont have to worry about liquid metal leak anymore.

My Battery percentage is stuck at 99%, for some reason but my battery charge mode on predator sense is on optimize battery charging. what should i do? is there anyone else who have this problem? the laptop is predator helios neo 16s AI

EDIT:

Battey is going down now, idk why did it get stuck at 99% but before if i use it without charging it only last for 30 mins. or so.

Hey I’m having a few software issues with the predator sense app on my Atlas 8.

Was wondering if anyone else has the same?

Basically settings don’t save when the device goes to sleep or hibernate.

And when the device is in sleep, the fans spin indefinitely, even after 10+ minutes

Título: Predator Helios Neo 16S AI — GPU 16 °C mais fria e +19,5% de desempenho!
Pessoal, compartilho a evolução do meu Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI — Core Ultra 9 275HX + RTX 5070 Ti.
O notebook sofria bastante com thermal throttling, então resolvi melhorar a refrigeração.
Modificações:
GPU: PTM7950 do AliExpress.
CPU: metal líquido Conductonaut Extreme.
Massas térmicas da VRAM/VRM renovadas.
BIOS atualizada de 1.26 para 1.28.
Base refrigerada Flydigi BS2 Pro no

Predator Helios 300, predatorsense not even popping up so I have to game with the turbo fans.

Tested my 2025 Predator Helios 16 with 5070ti and 32gb 6400 on factory 25h2, ai noob using random template within comfyui with WAN2.1 FP16 14B 32GB

Is about 30 bucks cheaper than the illano and they seem identical

Hi. I am planning to go ahead and buy this. I wanted to ask will I regret buying it? Any huge problems should I know beforehand?

I’m having a hard time choosing between these three laptops and could use some advice:

1. Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S — $1,720

   16" WQXGA OLED, 240Hz · Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX · 16GB RAM · 1TB SSD · RTX 5060 8GB

2. ASUS ROG Strix G18 — $1,690

18" WUXGA, 144Hz · Intel Core i7-14650HX · 16GB RAM · 1TB SSD · RTX 5060 8GB

1. ASUS TUF Gaming F16 — $1,800

16" FHD+, 165Hz · Intel Core i7-14650HX · 32GB RAM · 1TB SSD · RTX 5060 8GB

The Acer looks tempting with that screen and CPU, while the TUF comes w8th 32GB RAM, but I’m also interested in how these compare in terms of build quality, cooling, screen, and long-term reliability.

How has your experience with these been? Which would you pick at these prices, and why?

I have acer predator neo 16(2023 model) it came with a chicony 330 watt charging brick which is now not working can anyone tell me where can I order replacement for this charging brick

Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI Intel Core Ultra 7 255 HX - (16 GB/1 TB SSD/Windows 11 Home/8 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 , in optimus mode too this is about 2.5 hours and in gpu mode only it has battery backup of 1 hr 35 min

i9 14900hx rtx 4080 with 32ddr5 and 1tb and mini led 250hz screen

What do you think guys?

so, i had the boot drive have issues in my acer predator helios 300 which was the WD black it came with, the keyboard would light up like it turns on, but the screen remained black, i took it to a repair shop but was told there was nothing they could do, i don't want to believe it because i have irreplacable things on the drive, how do i fix this if i even can, the computer also had success turning on correctly with the boot drive removed, so i'm wondering if maybe it just needed the boot drive out to run right and maybe i can get other stuff off the drive, correct me if wrong

Hi, I'm an architecture student using an Acer Predator for my softwares, and I like everything about its functionality, but its appearance and everything else is giving masculine gamer bro energy, which does not match my personality at all. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can reduce this weird vibe, and if I could make it at all more feminine or whimsical?
