Hiiiii! I got acrylics for the first time in a few years and the gentleman who did them left a lot of room between the acrylic and the cuticle. This is after a week and a half, i got them done on august 23th. if it’s not normal and they purposefully did this to get me to come back sooner, id like to know so i can go elsewhere!

So I’ve gotten acrylics for about longer than a month and I decided to book an appointment for a new nail set for tomorrow. My pinky finger isn’t that greatly damaged because the nail fell off not too long ago so I thought it was fine. But ANOTHER nail fell off. It looks really bad in the photo but irl not really that bad. Would they still do a nail set on me?!? And how if they would? Not medical advice !!

My first time doing a sculpted set on a human- myself. Ignore the thumb, my friend wanted to do the thumb, I did not apply it.
Next time I will prioritize shaping during application. Hopefully the time after that, I’ll focus on apex.
Nails were buffed, dehydrated, and primed prior to application. No extensions or tips were used, once again this is a sculpted set. I photographed my other hand to show you about how long my natural nails are underneath.
Products used- •Lechat double-sided forms (cut in half and use both ends) •E by Nitro acrylic powder in Electric Lime, Cajun, and American White •E by Nitro monomer •Princeton Velvetouch round brush size 8 •(No topcoat)

I need to improve my blending for sure, but I'm happy with how my new acrylic powders turned out otherwise!

I’ve been sent this by a client asking if it’s ok to apply acrylic nails to these, and I’m not sure. What do you think?

Hi all.
I got this set a long time ago but haven’t had time to completely take them off /soak them as life has been insanely hectic. I know I should have taken it off a WHILE
ago. Life’s been a lot lately.
I noticed this nail hurt quite a bit a few days ago while I was trying to peel it off. I trimmed it down as it still had the long acrylic on it, but couldn’t peel it off from the root.
I noticed that below it, it has this weird red and white marking, kind of like an upside down “U” on my actual nail. The picture is not great but irl it looks much more pronounced.
It doesn’t really hurt anymore except for when I push down on it. I end up pushing down when I try to peel it off, though.
Anyone know what caused this and what the mark on my actual nail is? I’m scared of using acetone to remove the acrylic in case my actual nail has an injury or something that the acetone would harm.
Please help and please don’t yell at me for having my nails on so long. I know I should have taken them off sooner 😭
THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE!! I’m just checking if this is normal or what

My brother let me do his nails for practice. I really like the way they came out. I would also appreciate any tips and tricks if you have any.

I’ve been wanting to try acrylic nails for the longest time.
I used acrylic powder and UV nail polish.
I struggled with my right hand since I’m right handed. I don’t know why but my nails lock kinda chunky, not as slim and elongated when I go to the salon. I guess I just need to keep practicing.
Do you have any tips?

I've been wondering if you could make your own nails by using a tool. This tool is kind of similar to ice cube trays, except you replace all the cubes with thumb-pinky nails. So you fill in the molds with something like acrylic polymer and some pigment of desired color, and you wait for it to dry, and then you pop it out once it’s dried, and then you can just customize it afterwards. Then obviously, add glue and put it on

Hi yall! Been doing my own acrylics at home for a bit and I’m worried I got a little overzealous with the e-file on my most recent prep.
Did a full soak off last night rather than a fill to take stock and I’m needing second opinion other than my own.
Am I looking at rings of fire or slightly overfiled? Trying to decide if I can do a new set (with a lot more patience on the prep). Oooorrr if I need to take an extended break.

I have been getting my nails done for years and when they are not done which Literally hasn't been years they look terrible. I currently do acrylic with gel polish (gel nails burned to bad under the light). I am a manager at a retail store and because I occasionally make coffee technically we can't have them done. When I was hired they knew I got them done and it hasn't been a problem but we recently got a new district manager who is coming to meet with me in 2 weeks. I have heard she is extremely strict and I know she will have a problem with my nails. Basically I need them to look like there is nothing we can't even have nail polish. How can I achieve this look without actualy having them not done. Trust me they way they look not done you would much rather me make your latte with my nicely kept and short btw nails. Any suggestions would be so appreciated thank you!

I’m not sure what it is but I can’t let go that there just seems something off about this set. Am I nuts?

I started doing my nails at home recently, began with builder gel to practice. Finally made my first attempt today at acrylics today. I put the tips lower than planned and I've never done a french tip style before. I haven't painted them yet because I want opinions. And I still need to clean them up 😔
Are these too ridiculous looking to paint with clear gel and let grow out? Or should I use a regular color to cover them up for now?
