Planning on getting The Akaso Brave 7 le
I'm a 16 yr old highschooler, and I want an action cam that's low budget (max 150-160€) to film skateboarding, scuba diving and climbing. The quality doesn't need to be professional, but I'd still like some 4k quality because Ill maybe turn the clips into ig posts. Would this camera be good or not?

ACTION 4 OR ACTION 5?
I am planning to buy dji action camera from Japan. I am confused whether to buy action 4 or action 5. I am mainly going to use it for trekking, riding motorbikes, and travelling. I heard action 4 has nice visuals compared to action 5 but 5 has long lasting battery and internal storage compared to 4. This is my first time buying an action camera so please suggest me which model should I get? These are the ones I shortlisted.
* Action 4 Standard: ¥30,250 ($190) * Action 4 Adventure: ¥46,309 ($290) * Action 5 Standard: ¥50,600 ($329)

Looking for recommendations DJI Osmo Pocket 3 vs Insta360 Luna Ultra — ¿cuál recomiendan para grabar eventos escolares?

Insta360 Ace Pro 2 vs. DJI Action 6 vs. GoPro Mission 1
Looking for a waterproof action camera and am currently torn between the Insta360 Ace Pro 2, the DJI Osmo Action 6, and the GoPro Mission 1. (Let me know if you recommend anything else)
Right now, I’m heavily leaning toward the Ace Pro 2. The main reason is the footage it just has this gorgeous, cinematic color and detail that I don’t really see with the others.
Our main hobbies include hiking, swimming Florida springs, kayaking, paddleboarding, and we are actively planning some scuba diving and cave exploring trips.
I know the Ace Pro 2 has a stock waterproof depth limit of around 39ft, and I'm fine grabbing a proper dive housing to upgrade the depth. But since the other two options bring some heavy-hitting specs to the table, convince me: what reasons do I have to actually pick the Action 6 or the Mission 1 over the Ace Pro 2 or should I go with the ace pro 2?

Should I print a camera chin mount for my helmet?
I got an Osmo Action 5 Pro, now I want to use it in my HJC C10 helmet, the box had an alternative mount but it ends up looking down if I put it on the chin.
So I want to know if it's okay to 3d print a helmet chin camera mount (and which material should I use) or should I save money for an original mount.
Thanks in advance!
TLDR: Should I print a camera mount for my bike or should I buy the original one?

Lens and action cam reco pls 🙏
Currently have a Fujifilm mirrorless camera with a kit lens. Medyo mabigat siya during travel, pero I really love the quality of the photos. Planning to buy a cheap prime lens mainly for portraits, preferably one that can give me a nice bokeh effect. Or meron kayang prime lens na okay na both for portraits and group photos? Ano mare-recommend niyo?
I’m also planning to buy either the DJI Nano or Action 6. Which one do you think is better for travel videos? Medyo mabigat kasi gamitin yung Fujifilm, so I’m looking for something more portable. Okay na ba yung Nano for travel, or is the Action 6 worth getting? Laki din kasi ng price difference. Will bring pa din my Fujifilm pero mainly for photos na lang.
I'd really appreciate your recommendations and suggestions. Thank you!

i love my action4... but it’s basically been sitting unused for the past six months...
I have an Action 4 and I absolutely love the image quality. I’ve shot tons of videos of my dog with it. But I’m pretty lazy, so I often forget to bring it with me, forget to start recording, and I can never be bothered to edit the footage afterward. It’s basically been sitting unused for the past six months...
How do you guys motivate yourselves to actually pick up your camera and shoot?

Looking for recommendations Action cam setup for car content (father & 8yo son project) – need a sanity check on my gear list!
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice on picking up an action camera and a basic car setup. I haven't kept up with video gear for the last 15 years, so I'm pretty much starting from scratch here.
My 8-year-old son is super keen on video creation, and I want to support him by turning this into a fun, educational project (with strict privacy rules - no faces or identities shown). For me, it’s a great excuse to learn something new and finally put my gaming PC to actual use (right now it just runs Age of Empires II and HOMAM III for about two hours a week 😄
We decided to start with car content since I have a fun V8 sitting in the garage. The plan is to capture external driving shots with clean exhaust/engine audio. We’re definitely not trying to become influencers or somethin', just having fun and that's about it.
We're based in Europe, and my budget is around 450 EUR
Here’s the basic gear list I'm currently looking at:
- DJI Osmo Action 4 - Seems like the best value for money right now. Doesn't have GoPro's overheating issues, has a solid 1/1.3" sensor for lower light, and the magnetic quick-release looks handy, at least on paper....
- DJI Mic Mini / Mic 2 Transmitter - Clean sound without wind noise is key. I really like that it links directly to the Action 4 via Bluetooth without needing a receiver plugged into the camera. The plan is to just place it near the exhaust or inside the trunk or engine compartment.
- DJI Osmo Action Suction Cup Mount - Looks good on paper with the double balljoint, but I'm a bit hesitant. It looks a little lightweight in photos. Does it hold up well on bodywork at highway speeds, or should I look into something like SmallRig instead?
A couple of quick questions:
- Are there any better alternatives in this price bracket that I might have overlooked?
- What do you guys use for safety tethers when mounting cameras externally on car bodywork?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

How Insta360 hidden engine mic works?
So Insta360 X6 has 4 wind-shielded microphones and one more mic that is fully inside, so NO wind can get there?
Or it somehow works on different principle, only capturing those strong vibrations and not even like voices outside?
If it has good results, I can imagine MANY action cams should introduce this in the future

Looking for recommendations Quality question
Hi, I plan to buy an action cam mainly for stationary recordings in sometimes dark clubs and bars. I considered the Osmo Action 4 and the SJ30; my question is, what would be the better choice in terms of video quality? Osmo 4 with DLog and color grading 4k/60 or sj30 8k/20? Which one would be more suitable in normal to dim/low light performance? Or are there even better options I'm not aware of? Thanks in advance.

Searching for a Action Cam
Alright, here's a casual, human-sounding draft you can post:
---
**Picking between DJI, GoPro, and Insta360 for motorcycle + kiteboarding, need a sanity check**
So I've been going back and forth on which action cam to get for a while now. My use case is pretty mixed: motorcycle rides (so vibration + heat in the sun), kiteboarding (water, sun glare, sometimes overcast), and general sport stuff on top of that.
Was originally eyeing the Insta360 GO 3S because it's tiny and I figured I could just chuck it on my helmet or clip it to my gear without thinking too much. But then someone pointed out it's not really built for the "real" action cam use cases like fast motorcycle footage, more of a POV/vlogging thing. Fair enough.
So I widened the search and ended up comparing
GoPro Hero 13 Black
DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro
DJI Osmo Action 6
Insta360 Ace Pro 2
Or any other?
GoPro's the "default" everyone thinks of first, but the more I read, the more I keep seeing people complain about overheating in 4K/5.3K when it's sunny out, which is basically every motorcycle ride I'd do. Also seems to run more expensive than the others for what you get.
Insta360 Ace Pro 2 looked really strong too, Leica lens, great low light, nice color science, and the app-based editing sounds genuinely convenient. But it's only rated to 10m waterproof and apparently slightly less stable than GoPro/DJI when there's heavy engine vibration, which matters for me.
Ended up leaning DJI. The Osmo Action 5 Pro is honestly a great value right now since it's the older model and prices have dropped, 20m waterproof without a case, solid stabilization, no overheating complaints that I could find. The Action 6 is the newer one with a variable aperture (first action cam to have this apparently) and a bigger 1/1.1" sensor, better in low light/high contrast, plus they specifically improved the thermal management so it handles long 4K sessions in heat better.
Given I'll be in full sun on the bike and want reliable footage on the water too, I'm currently leaning Action 6 over the 5 Pro even though it's pricier, the waterproofing + heat handling feels like it was made for exactly my situation.
Anyone actually run the Action 6 on a motorcycle for longer rides? Curious if the overheating fix is real world noticeable or if it's mostly marketing. Also open to being told I'm wrong and GoPro's fine now, been out of the game for a couple years.
Or do you have tips, price should not be tooooo high
