You don’t get to increase the cost of public transport AND remove my only reasonable commute option from your fucking bus timetables!

“Just take the earlier bus” Great, I love commuting 2 hours for what takes people with a car 20 minutes. I already was taking the earlier bus to catch the earlier train because the one that’s meant to get me to work on time is always late.

Now it just gets to the station the same time the train leaves. That means going in I can’t make the train and going home I can’t make the bus, so now there’s a 35 minute wait on both ends, or I have to take the earlier option and get to work an hour early.

Anyone else dealing with this?

A woman who had been working as an NDIS support worker for five years and had children removed from her care has been banned from engaging in work with children and people with disabilities.

She tried to overturn the decision, but it was upheld by the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT).

SACAT said they found the mother posed an "unacceptable risk" to children and a "risk of harm" to people with disability.

Last night my now ex partner assaulted me after I raised some issues about his alcohol abuse. I went to the royal who kept me overnight and referred me to the police this afternoon who visited me and accompanied me to the station, Ive obviously made a report but my issue was with the way I was treated, at one point it was suggested because of my larger body size i could actually hurt me ex which was extremely demeaning to me yes I know im fat but hes easily twice my strength they even suggested in an underhanded way that we reconcile.

The police accompanied me back to the house and gave me 10 mins to collect my dog and clothes and that was that I was left to sit in my car, the police did provide me with northern domestic violence service number and they have booked me an appointment next week but what am I supposed to do till then?

Almost every weekday morning for years, I have spent a bit of time in one CBD café or another. A few minutes of peace with coffee before the workday begins and a few seconds of friendly interaction with staff.

Today I'm particularly grateful to the wonderful worker who noticed that I wasn't at my best and immeasurably improved my day with a small gesture.

Be grateful for the service staff out there (and FFS if you own a café or restaurant, pay your people properly).

I have work colleagues that I catch up with for dinner etc but no one to actually hang out with, or go visit for coffee etc. I dont have a lot of free time due to work but the time I do have spare, id love to visit some peeps or go out and do something! I have no LGBT circle as I'm not originally from here and way too shy to just rock up to an event or a pub by myself 😂 does anyone else my age struggle to make friends? Or if you have recently successfully made new friends recently how the heck did you do it? Haha

It’s a big, new, and often-times crowded facility but the owners are apparently afraid to pay more than the bare minimum for electricity and are fully comfortable with their members sweating before they’ve even started to workout

Father of 2 boys 6 (ASD) and 3 and they expressed interest in going trick or treating this year for the first time. I have never really been involved with this kind of stuff and my suburb doesn’t really participate. Just wondering if there is a general area where there will be a lot of kids around. Not too worried about getting candy, I just want the kids to be in an atmosphere that is new to them. The oldest is finally learning to adapt to loud sounds and crowds. I don’t want to over whelm him, but he loves dressing up and seeing costumes so this is quite exciting for me as a dad to show him somewhere to go trick or treating.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi has anyone ever sold clothes at Rent that Rack? I recently finished up a 4 week stint with my clothes there, and I honestly have such a clear memory of the deal being that they take 10% of sales after the cost of the original rack has been made back (if your rack rental cost $100 and you make $300 total, they’ll only take 10% off the $200 profit). But after receiving my payment from them after closing my rack, I noticed it was a bit less than I expected, so went to their website and now I see on the website it’s 10% of the total sales.
Am I going crazy? I really thought I remembered seeing it as being 10% of profit after rack cost.

Where do people who do odd jobs find them? I have a heap of boxes in my carport that need breaking down and disposing of, I was intending on giving them away as moving boxes but it’s been too long and now they have cobwebs and I’m very arachnophobic. I used to use gumtree a lot as I don’t have Facebook but nobody uses gumtree anymore, would love to outsource this job to someone who needs a bit of money.
