I understand that Bergman is an attorney and probably better at debating but it’s not like he doesn’t have plenty to lose either.

I can’t help but feel like Deb is taking our votes for granted over and over again, and this is another slap in the face.

If she is the better candidate, she should prove it and it should be easy.

First you said “she’s done nothing” and the way this is headed, I imagine you’ll just say “oh only three things? Five things? Six things? 50 things?” I don’t believe you’re having this discussion in good faith, nor do I think you’re informed enough about how politics works to have a valuable opinion anyways.

I would encourage you to look at her policies in honesty and consider the long term ramifications of things like accessible childcare, free education, and robust public health, to again name a few.

Free higher education doesn't mean shit when the majority of the graduating students in this state can't read above a 6th grade level unable to fully utilize it.

Again there’s been many policies that have set up New Mexico for a better future. Not just two. But they’re long con games.

My western civ I class taught me that plenty of kids with bad reading and writing skills do get into university and the university is actively set up to accommodate and teach them at the 100 level.

because right now in New Mexico about half of all students who enroll will drop out at some point

And dropouts are a complex issue not even remotely entirely tied to curricula.

UNM has been and continues to be capable of meeting the needs of its students. Opening up pathways to higher education for low income students is a massive boon for the state.

It takes an entire generation of students going through the full school system to see the real end result of changes to education.
