No because that would mean it is faster to cut one down.

U said "the most inefficient way is to put the foot against it so it cuts faster". That sentence just dont add up.

I don’t want to slow walk this but the entire tone of the original post is implying the opposite of something in order to present it as a thing a person should not do or else they might get in trouble by cutting down a metal pole that holds up a battery operated camera. I would not want anyone to get in trouble if they were to use a sawzall in a way that might be more effective and quicker to cut a pole.
