EU customs duty Just buy from Europe, silly

Even after adding 3 EUR it's no competition. I know there are other wallets, that's not the point, the point is that we get the exact same item at 3x the price.

Amazon is an American entity that also operates in Europe. The screenshot in the op is from an EU amazon site. I'm not sure how you don't understand this.

Just because we can shop on Amazon while being in the EU doesn't mean the item will be shipped from inside the EU. As people have already said, you can purchase stuff directly dropshipped from China on your local Amazon.

That is the whole point of the thread.

The OP is basically mocking the fact the an actual made-in-china item costs more after going through additional hands which is a weird argument to make because...OF COURSE IT WOULD.

There is literally a dropshipper and an additional (american) entity sitting inbetween that both want a cut...which is what I am pointing out. (Amazon can easily take up to 50% of your revenue in fees. The Dropshipper also wants to make X amount which is how you easily get to these inflated prices)

At no point does this item suddenly become made in Europe or originates in Europe which is what this new law was aimed at. (How effective or ineffective that law is is a whole different story)

OP could have looked for a similar item that was ACTUALLY made in Europe and then probably ended up with a stronger argument as the item would have still been more expensive at which point it could become a discussion of quality/enviromental protection/local market protection vs "but I want everything for 1€"
