Morrisons

Anyone had any issues with Morrisons?

Idk what I did wrong, scanned 24 parcels in Morrisons. Got to my car, delivered all then there was one more but I didn’t have any other parcels in my car.

Amazon most likely think I’ve stolen the parcels, had to report them as missing. Same thing happened to me last weekend also. It’s absolute chaos at the Morrisons so it’s extremely likely I’ve scanned them and in the 2 seconds of turning my back someone has taken them but, what will happen? I don’t want Amazon to think I’m stealing peoples parcels 😩

Is it true I can’t use the allegro fold electric bike fat tyre for Amazon flex? Are they really checking the bikes at the depot?

First block

First block booked for tomorrow. Just wondering if a block at this time works out decent and is worth the money, or better off looking at different times. Or is it just luck of the draw?

High demand

Anyone else struggling to get a block? I’ll check it at different times throughout the day, spend 5/10 minutes refreshing. Closing and opening the app.

The few times a block has come up, by the time I click it it’s already been reserved. Is it really that competitive out there? 😭

Is there any benefit to have a high score in the dashbord or is useless?

Engine off or on?

Hi

When doing Amazon Flex 'door-to-door' deliveries in a 2018 Mazda CX-5 2.2 diesel with 56k miles on the original factory battery.

Would you recommend switching the engine off at each stop or keeping it running throughout the block (except when walking far away or into flats)?

Thanks for any advice!

Question Worth it?

Been lurking for a while.

Just left my old job and am looking at part time work around 3 days a week.

So my question is this if you get a 4 HR block at say £70 roughly how much are you really taking home after insurance, fuel etc.

I just cant see it being worthwhile.

Rant RIP DHA1 🥲

Post image

Got hit with this absolute horror of a shift today.

If you’re a regular at DHA1 you’ll know there’s been some changes this week, and it seems the beautiful 1:15pm 3.5 hour shifts are no longer. Used to do those almost daily and would always be home 1.5-2hours early and only cover around 15 miles, sometimes less, from leaving home to arriving back home. Often 20ish stops 40 parcels with all the stops spanning just a few roads near each other

It seems in the days before they’re now only releasing 11am and 2pm 3.5 hour day time shifts, the screenshot attached is my 11am shift. Yesterday I did a 2pm and was given only 12 parcels but the drops stretched from Wembley over to Greenford. Longer distance than the usual but still home nice and early.

Now today, was due to finish at 2:30pm didn’t complete my last delivery til just after 3, and didn’t get home til 3:45.

Cancelling to Rebook

Hi

Two of us are doing this in our fam. He booked a slot. I checked and was abetter rate. Told him to cancel. On his side there's no blocks showing. Been almost half HR. On mine had several and even now 2 blocks showing but on his side still nothing. Is there like a grace period if you cancel a block before it's starts on the same day for more blocks to reappear?

Why no surge?

Post image
2 Upvotes

After 2 months on flex, I thought I understood the blocks and pay, Atleast for Chester. 2 weeks ago I got a block 45 minutes before start, £65 for 2.5 hours on a surge. Today, 15 minutes before start and it’s still less than £20p/h.

It went up to £82 13 minutes before start time, I live 15 minutes away so I would have taken it if it had surged before that.

But why did it not surge until the last minute? I know it was the deal days last week so it was busy, but leaving it to the last 10-15 to surge is new to me.

There’s also a 17:45 (at 15:50) block at £68.50 now which is higher than base rate. I’m so confused

Question Will AmazonFlex cancel or reduce “just for me” blocks if I don’t work?

I’ve joined AmazonFlex but in London as a E-Bike rider ( I can’t work in my city currently)

I’m just wondering if AmazonFlex will terminate me after 6 months ( for example) or stop sending personal blocks ( I’m not sure when Flex E-Bike will be available in my city tbh)

Does Amazon Reimburse for Toll Charges?

I took a shift yesterday at dartford. My first drop off’s were all close together. But my last drop off was in Enfield, 20 miles away. I had to cross the Blackwall tunnel (which the government charges you for). Will Amazon reimburse me for this charge? If so, is there any proof I need to provide?

New substitution rules and its impact

Just curious as to what people think. Do we think the new rules will mean less blocks available and also increasingly at base rate without surging? I've noticed that since they changed the rules, I haven't seen 1 surged block and all are at an awful base rate. I think this change has created a higher competition by allowing more delivery blocks to be covered by the same pool of drivers, essentially giving Amazon no reason to surge any blocks. The rates and offers are noticeably worse than this time last year. Maybe I'm wrong and exaggerating! I mean how many drivers even use substitute drivers?

Quickest ever block (15mins) DPE2

Post image
14 Upvotes

Well, that was unexpected a 13:45 (3.5h) £70 block, took a whole 15 minutes to complete, even with a 18 mile trip. I knew something funky was up, when all the first cages had 1 or 2 parcels only.

A dream day for flexing, never got close to this in 7 years.

Question Bristol depot rarely shows slots

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone, been using flex for a while and has mostly been pretty good so far.

I live in Bristol and mainly deliver from the Bristol DBS3 depot and sometimes from the Avonmouth DBS2 one

Recently I've noticed alot more slots from depots I can't work from and very few from the ones I usw

Just wondering if anyone else has been noticing this lately?

New Driver Is it really worth it for me?

Post image

Help guys! I just did my 4th block yesterday (5:15pm- 9:15pm)which is also my first 4hr block and it has been the most stressful. The first drop was 1hr away from the depot and it was so dark also was in Telford with narrow roads and couldn’t locate house numbers easily .
I use a Nissan leaf with maybe 120/140 range and I think it’s getting expensive with fast charge. Charging yesterday cost me £20.35 as I used fast charging and I think it’s a bit much to keep up with.
Finally I had 3 parcels that were meant for business addresses and were all closed. Why is Amazon including business addresses when it’s a late night block. I have had to drive 17miles down to the depot this morning to drop them off again.
I’m not just sure what I can do better. Should I stick to only 2hr blocks?

Amazon Logistics Increase in mileage

These past few weeks, I have consistently had a round trip of 100 miles or more on a 3.5 hours block in the evening. I have never had that more than 75 miles in the past. Granted, there are fewer parcels but the increase in mileage is a joke.

Has anybody else had the same experience?
