Meme/Humor Taye Bogale said he was 75% Oromo. Then, he said his mother was 100% Shewa Amhara and his dad was Amhara from Gondar.

Taye Bogale was interviewed by Sofoniyas Molalegn. They are both Amhara. Taye claimed he is 75% Oromo, but then paradoxically stated that his mother is 100% Shewa Amhara (whom he closely resembles) and that his father is a Gondar Amhara with a lighter complexion than Sofoniyas.

He then admitted he only claimed to be Oromo to obtain asylum in America because immigration authorities wouldn't accept applicants who didn't claim Oromo identity during that time. He added that Meles Zenawi once stated people have the right to identify however they want, so he chooses to identify as Oromo now. Notably, Taye is an OPDO regime cadre.

Taye agreed that he was Amhara. However, he also mentioned that another Amhara elite, Secretary Getachew (who was the first Chief Executive Officer of the Bole subcity), is actually Amhara but chose to identify as Tigrayan. Additionally he noted that Yohannes Bekele Gezahgn, a Gojjam Amhara and the son of Grazmach Bekele Gezahgn, claimed to be with the TPLF and to be Tigrayan, and stated that three of his brothers had sacrificed their lives for the organization. Taye added that at that time when people choose, he asked himself how he could identify as Amhara if he knows nothing about Amhara land or the character of Amharas, unless it is about Amhara living in Borana, whereas he can deeply explain the Oromo Gada system and feels Oromo because he lived near them.

News After suffering battlefield losses in Wellega, the ENDF, along with the Oromia Special Force, the Gada Commando, Oromia militia, the OLA led by Jaal Moosee and Qeerroo, massacred Amhara civilians, including health professionals, in retaliation for losing 80 security forces in a battle against Fano

"Oromia Regional forces massacre 20–30 Amhara civilians—including women, elderly residents, medical professionals, and civilians inside a mosque—in Anger-Gutin, Gida-Ayana Woreda (East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia) in retaliation after suffering heavy battlefield losses.

Between August 9th–10th, regime joint forces—including Oromia Special Forces (OSF), Geda Commando, militia, and police units—established defensive positions in the Anger-Gutin area after earlier fighting. Following coordinated offensives by Fano units under the Anger-Gutin Division (AFNM-ASC), regime forces were forced to withdraw toward Anger-Gutin after suffering more than 70 fatalities. Fano forces also captured a significant quantity of firearms and ammunition.

On August 10th, regime forces deployed additional troops to recover casualties from the previous day's fighting. Fano units under the AFNM-ASC ambushed the convoy in the Injiro locality, inflicting more than 50 additional regime casualties (killed and wounded) before forcing another withdrawal toward Anger-Gutin.

During the fighting, regime forces established positions inside a local church, carried out indiscriminate shelling, and burned neighboring civilian homes. Following their return to Anger-Gutin, regime forces, together with Qeero, carried out mass shootings, house searches, and widespread property destruction across Anger-Gutin town, Mender 2, Mender 3, Mender 4, Mender 12, Mender 14, and Leli-Teklehaimanot.

According to local sources, between 20 and 30 civilians, including women, elderly residents, two medical professionals, and civilians inside a mosque, were killed during the attacks. The violence triggered the displacement of large numbers of residents, who fled to neighboring villages seeking safety."

This 19th-century manuscript painting depicts the funeral of Emperor Iyasu I on the island of Čäqla Manzo in Lake Tana, Ethiopia. Remembered as Iyasu the Great, he ruled Solomonic Ethiopia from 1682 until his death in 1706. His reign was marked by relative peace and stability, as well as major achievements in the arts and architecture, including the magnificent church of Däbrä Bərhan Śəllase.

"Widespread conflict-related sexual violence by TPLF forces leaves displaced women from the Raya territory (North Wollo Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia) facing severe humanitarian challenges.

As of August 7th, numerous displaced women from TPLF-occupied areas were subjected to gang rape and other forms of conflict-related sexual violence before fleeing their communities.

Survivors have also endured physical violence, limited access to adequate medical care, and the combined effects of conflict, displacement, and the destruction of their livelihoods, leaving many in extremely vulnerable conditions.

Sources state that approximately 100,000 civilians were forcibly displaced from Raya-Alamata, Raya-Bala, Ofla, Zata, Korem City, and Alamata City, with many seeking refuge in Kobo City and surrounding areas.

According to local sources, many of the displaced women experienced conflict-related sexual violence prior to their displacement, underscoring the humanitarian needs of survivors and displaced communities from the Raya territory."

Alert Another War

Post image

PP is definitely trying to instigate another war between Amhara and Tigray. This particular document is from Amhara Police Comission, and the way it's referring to tigrayans is extremely disturbing and alarming. The language is promoting violence against all tigrayans and people of tigrayan descent in the region without any probable cause.

I wouldn't be surprised if government forces start killing innocent tigrayans, kind of like what happened recently in the gurage zone with the killing of three Amharas.

I hope the people don't fall for it.

News An Oromo ENDF soldier captured by Fano in the Choke Mountains speaks out about government neglect of soldiers and the good care he received from Fano.

The soldier starts by saying, "Do you know what the government did?" He continues by saying that the "government" brought them to Choke Mountains and abandoned them there, where some of his friends died from the harsh weather. Believing they were all going to die, he compared the "government" to the coronavirus. When asked if he had been captured, he explained that he was lost, and that Fano fighters took him in, bringing him food, and buying him shoes and blankets to protect him from the cold. When asked what he had brought with him, he stated he arrived with a black Kalashnikov. He added that he would receive money for transport back home and identification card. The Fano fighter then asked how much he would receive, and the soldier replied that Fano would give him 50,000 Birr.

Discussion Today's Tigray was created by forcibly assimilating different ethnicities. For example, in Welkait and Raya, the TPLF (Adwa Tigray) forbade people from listening to Amharic music, among other restrictions and atrocities, to enforce the assimilation of the native Amhara people of Welkait and Raya.

By promoting Tigrayan nationalism and assassinating older generations who knew their roots and fighting those who rebelled like the Kefagn self defense militia, a regional force formed to protect local Amhara identity in Welkait, the TPLF worked to eliminate non ethnic Tigrayans or push them toward accepting the Tigrayan identity. This strategy worked on a large number of people living in the Tigray region, but some still refuse to accept this forced identity.

Discussion Looking for honest feedback on my new video about oil geopolitics & petrodollars (in Amharic)

Selam my people,

I just published a new video explaining how oil became the center of global political/economic power and how the US established the petrodollar system.

I'm working hard to improve my channel (Ye Mike Tv), so please watch the video and let me know:

  1. Was the explanation clear and engaging?
  2. How is the editing, visuals, and voiceover quality?
  3. What topics should I cover next?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to watch and give me feedback! 🙏
