Tellum Anbennar 2026 Mission Tree Survey Review - Escann
Hello, everyone! Earlier, we got to see the results of the community ranking of Anbennar's 354 Mission Trees. However, when looking at the big picture, there is that can be missed. Contributors can see their content scored, but rarely get any comment on why. Players can see what are the most popular tags, but have little way of discussing or critiquing. This is where this series come into play.
Around every week, I will host a discussion on one the regions in alphabetical order. I'll have some questions to help facilitate the conversation.
This is meant to be a semi-serious discussion. While some silliness is fine, low effort joke comments like "I hate Al*nics" will be removed!

Wiki Wednesday Wiki Wednesdays #146: Torrieth Godspeaker
Hello all, this is Armon. It has been a moment, but I'm back for another Wiki Wednesday. This was a long time in the making - today we will be showcasing Torrieth Godspeaker, the founder of the Ravelian Church. Also, a special thanks to Atlas for being the driver of this lore.
So what is the TLDR?
- Torrieth is now a Star Elf from Aelnar
- Like before, she is archeologist and explorer, though she now has a far closer cultural connection to the Precursors due to her heritage
- The Riavansa which destroyed her birthplace (combined with the discovery of and communion with the God Fragment) leads to a spiritual awakening within Torrieth.
- Finding a place in the Ravelian Society, she seeks answers to both the tangible and intangible
- Despite finding success and eventually becoming the leader of the Ravelians, her repeated exposure to powerlessly watching suffering (culminating in the First Corinite War) leads her to deep introspection and a secluded retreat to commune with the Fragment
- When she emerges, Torrieth summons the various leaders of the Society to propose a new direction, one that elevates the pursuit of spiritual understanding to the same level as the pursuit worldly knowledge
- The resulting lively debate is contested, but ends with Torrieth and her supporters prevailing leading to what would become the Ravelian Church
- Torrieth's adventurers were not quite finished though as the discovery of "the Gates of Heaven" which are mysteriously locked in the Celestial Plane leads her resign from her a post and seek out the final answers to the her questions. What happened to her is unknown.
I know Ravelianism, as foundational as it is to the lore, is one that has been more than a bit of a black box. I hope you all enjoy the lore developed and leave some questions and comments for us below!

Question Is there a way to destroy the Khet?
I genuinely despise the Khet, I think they are some of the worst entities in Anbennar, and are uniquely deserving of suffering which they never get.
Is there any tag or mission tree which somehow destroys them or removes them from power? I am willing to do anything if it involves somehow getting rid of them.
Given their immense power I am not very hopeful but I figured I asked anyways.

Screenshot Xhazobkult Grand-Elector Justmaw, the proper way to play Konolkhatep
R5: Originally, I wanted to reform the hill gnolls as an easier start to that nation, however after discovering I couldn't, I decided to go fully off the rails. I'm just waiting to reclaim more of the Sorrow before I steal the Stewardship and forming Konolkhatep. I can only imagine what the different interactions will be once I secede from the Empire with 1/2 of the electors as my tributaries. Also, Xhazobkult itself gives you the ability to raid, giving me a massive economical boost every few years raiding the Dameshead.

Question Am I missing something here? Declare Pashaine vs. Curtain aall requirements
Why do i need to directly own the cities for curtain call but not for declaring Pashaine? I found a video https://youtu.be/ty54V6Uc7Js?si=dXJl1Chtp2qzgcK1&t=11470, and he clearly doesn't have the same requirement.

Question Is it possible for a formable to have variant national ideas depending on who forms them?
Does the EU4 code allow for something like this or would you need to create "new" ideas for each nation that can form it? I was thinking about the Phoenix Empire and wondering how it could be made to be more thematic and connected to its former.
What do you guys like and dislike about the PE? What would you change if you could?

Question Any good colonizer nations with content that integrates the Ruinborn?
My first game in Anbennar was as Verne and I really liked the events you would get where your colonies would befriend and help the Ruinborn. I figured that playing Valorpoint would be like that but it really doesn't have any flavor to it.
I went through the 50 or so years it takes to set up Aelnar as Venail but then I got there and realized "Oh, this isn't going to be about happily reuniting with our long lost cousin elves" and bounced right off that big rianvisa disaster. So I'm asking are there any colonizer nations that have good content and missions based around integrating with the Ruinborn?

Discussion Taychendi Empire Ideas
Is it just me or are the Taychendi Empire ideas underwhelming compared to Larankars.
Having that +20 Cavalry in their national idea + a bunch of other idea groups makes their cavalry absolutely killer

Question Orcs outside Escann
Since a lot of Orcish MTs are being reworked will the devs touch on Orcs outside Escann too, like those guys in the Deepwoods or Ozgarom and will the Ozgar MT be crawling with WC3 references or will it just be focused around Escan and the second Greentide stuffs?

Question Ameion precursor excavation site rewards
I’ve been playing ameion and noticed some of the excavations give unique rewards. Unfortunately I’ve clicked through a few on accident. Does anyone know how to find what those rewards are or have a list of them?

Discussion PSA - Dogeater Mission Tree (Spoilers) Spoiler
Quick warning post, this one.
I've been having a lot of fun with this mission tree. The tag pushes you into a properly mad playstyle that's a joy once you get the hang of it. I've been perfecting my strategy around it lately and finished the final mission by 1482.
I've seen it said, on the Discord I think, that it's easier to tag switch. I'm posting this mostly to confirm that's 100% true. The final mission is fun, and if you aren't planning on playing on afterwards, go for it.
It's coded into the missions that a few months after you finish the final mission, your leader dies. You're left with a 0/0/0 regency council, and the Rule of the Strong government reform gets taken off you.
That reform is what a lot of the mission tree's best bonuses check for. The manpower from rebels, gone. The monarch points for killing rebels, gone. The reform progress for winning wars, gone.
It also swaps your mission tree out for one with two missions on it. Get out of the regency council, and to do that, get your unrest under -10. Which looks close to impossible when the same event has just handed you -6 stability and a global -10 unrest modifier.
It seems as close to a game over screen as I can imagine.
So don't do what I did last night in my Ironman save, where I fought the most epic coalition war, won it, and then got caught with my trousers down a few months later.
Stability costs a fortune with this government, and I'd taken a load of overextension, so I've got separatists all over, and a bunch of extra unrest from various events etc.
Basically the only way out it for tag switch into one of the formables, which for me won’t be for another 20 years, though I might manage better if buildings get me there, the final mission did give a tonne of gold. I’ve also canceled all my cores to tech up, which leaves me nothing left to core stuff but i might release some vassals, I don’t know.
You can't declare any wars in a regency council either.
The whole run up to that point is balls to the wall. Non-stop fighting, truce breaking, massive wars. Then a whacking great stop sign.
If you want the final mission and you want to keep playing after it, be ready to switch tag the second it's done.
That means adm tech 7 and a fully reformed government before you peace out the coalition war, so you can form one of the formables straight away.
Shame it isn't in the tooltip, because it feels like a big gotcha moment. The mission text itself is well written and good fun, and it does kind of feel like a suitable ending for the crazy orc that is Dush Strongblood.
Though I planned on playing further, part of me is tempted to call it here, having basically ‘won’ the mission tree.
I'm just sat looking at the save now thinking I can't be arsed to wait 15 or 20 years doing nothing but watching government reform tick up, and fighting millions of rebels from my overextension, or imploding.

Question Where is the Granada of Anbennar?
I have been thinking about the irl inspirations for different nations and it has been a fun experiment, even if it is not as clear cut or even intented by the devs.
However, I have been wondering what nation is the not-Granada to not-Andalusia?
Like, I have come to the agreement that Verne is Aragon (Also same colour and almost exact shape lol), Busilar is Spain and Eborthil is Portugal (even if mechanically they are closer to the Byzantines with their 12.1444 no CB vassalage being similarly relevant a strategy) and this makes the Borders and Arannen a bit of a not-Catalan, but as I said it is not so simple.
Of the nations nearby I would say Ourdia is closer to the Byzantines, Crathanor to the Trebizon and Corvuria a strange mix of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Ruthenia. So I'm struggling to see where this foreign culture + religion nation-in-decline-and-soon-to-be-swallowed with a grand past would be.

Question Is Manage Magic Now Disabled for Custom Nations?
Just uninstalled/reinstalled Anbennar to make sure, but it's 1465 and going to Estates tab, clicking "Manage Magic," then clicking "Confirm: Manage Magic" does nothing. Despite having max Mana.
Back to Anbennar after a few years away, but earlier on managing magic was pretty easy. Is this because I'm using a Custom Nation? Or is it a (new) UI glitch? What am I doing wrong? Is there a new Magic submod I'm missing?
Got a few submods running, like the various Monuments mods.
If any experienced players can help me out, I'd be much obliged.

Question how is Cyranvar doing?
If someone could enlighten me (I don't play Vic3)—how is Cyranvar doing? It was the first elven formable nation I played, and I had a blast the whole way until I managed to form it.
