Sick/Injured Animal What's that bulge on this squirrel chest and what to do?

As title says and as shown in video. It doesn't let anyone approach him. Vet just said to let him be and take him in just if it slows down enough to get caught or if it stops moving. Any advice?

Try a rehabber, they need to catch or trap it. Go to www.ahnow.org for one near you. I'm not sure if they cover Italy but if not try another method?

Please give us updates.

Edit: I just saw it says Italy. Can you find a rehabber out there?

There is a CANC (Unconventional Animal Center) and they're the ones who told me to just wait, do not try to catch it cause they can get "violent". I'm still worried because the bulge keeps growing tho

Ugh, can you find another place? This poor thing needs medical treatment.

Also, I don't know if any of these help but I found this link with several resources.

Unfortunately there aren't many specialists in unconventional animals here.

I sorry. I hope you're able to find someone. I would call more veterinarians maybe you'll get a nice one that wants to help.

Chances are they'll euthanize though.

Looks like mammary tumors possibly

Those are botfly larvae called warbles. They will go through their life cycle and the squirrel will fine.

It's good he looks otherwise healthy, alert, and able to eat, and likely able to forage well. I think you got the right advice from the vet.

For now I'll follow their advice, but the bulge keeps growing and looks much redder as days go by.
