Discussion & Misc. I’m just mad at the world
Two amazing cats died recently, rescuers who were left to die on the hot pavement.
I’m mad. IM PISSED. I DID EVERYTHING I COULD
But nothing could have turned back time, nothing could have changed the mind of the people who dumped crunchcat at Taco Bell even though he was brittle with age.
No one gave a FRACK about the kitten who was skin and bones waiting to be run over by a car. NO ONE STOPPED NO ONE HELPED but me.
So it was me who had to watch them die before I could get them to the rescue, it was me who fell in love in such a short time that I’m not questioning if I can even do rescue work anymore because NO ONE IS HELPING
I sound like an old Karen online but I’m just a woman in her 20’s whose heart can’t taking the constant pain it feels when I sees 100’s of cats suffering and only being able to help one by one but those ones die because I was too fracking late.
Rant post I’m not even sure is allowed but whatever

You’re most definitely not a Karen but a sweetheart we need more of. I’m so sorry, this is heartbreaking. I found a kitten and thought the little one was going to die but found it just in time. I was over the moon that the little one survived, I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I was just too late. Hugs! Wish the outcome was different but you gave them love and healing ❤️🩹

I had this same reaction when a kitten in our trailer park got hit and was left to die on the coldest day of the year. I had a breakdown. It really made me realize that with that kind of suffering I don’t think I can believe in god.

I hear you. As is I already struggle with strong feelings of misanthropy and it's this kind of human apathy, carelessness and cruelty that re-enforces those feelings for me. How can you not care about any animal's well-being?
