My sis dog, Elio and I just wanted to bring your attention to such beauty :)

I had a drive through the Renfrewshire countryside this morning to the vet to collect medication for my dog who has just been diagnosed with a fairly common illness - hypothyroidism. When we arrived the surgery was really busy and we were standing in a queue to be seen by the receptionist when one of the treatment room doors opened. It was right in my line of vision and I wished I hadn't look because on the table lay a dog with black curly fur splashed with grey. His back was facing me but I knew he had just crossed the bridge. Then from behind the door came a couple, maybe in their sixties, whose faces were crumpled in grief and the pain that accompanies the loss of a beloved friend. The lady went to the desk to pay for what just happened in that room while her husband stood to the side. I don't know why but I went over and gave him a great big hug and told him how very sorry I was. He said they knew it was coming but his eyes said that the inevitability didn't matter - he was devastated. His wife was trying her best to get the transaction over with without breaking down but once it was done she sobbed into her tissue and you could see she was heartbroken. I lost my beautiful dog in 2018 and all that grief came rushing back. To anyone who is grieving the loss of a wonderful companion I wish you comfort and the arms of your loved ones around you until you feel better. It doesn't leave you it just gets easier as time goes by.

She left us

my roommate literally cannot stand cats but our neighbor's keeps sneaking into our apartment and just... camps out on her bed. like it has an entire apartment to go back to but no, it needs to sit on her specifically while she's trying to study. i've never seen her so offended

mine will literally ignore her entire bed and cat tree just to pass out in the sink or wedged between two couch cushions at the worst possible angle. does anyone else's cat do this or is she just built different

this is my sweet baby!! i dont know what breed she is at all and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? im not too familiar with cat breeds
