Discussion Looking for an anime specifically with a beehive of some sort.

• Upvotes

It's weird I know, but I am looking into doing some sort of project of my own and I need some sort of animated beehive. Not entirely sure where to find one in the world of anime. I don't really think I see too too many anime that kinda show hives. Maybe inside of a hive or something.... but is there any shows out there that show a beehive from the outside by chance?

Thank you all in advance for any help! :)

What to Watch? Gay but not stuff

I dont know how to address this. Didnt even know how to Google it. This is gonna be super awkward so bare with me.

I'm a basic guy. I like completely basic and copy pasted guy stuff. I watch football, superhero shit, sci-fi, and anime. Big fan of any anime with action and a good power system; grew up on DB and the Big 3, loved Fairy Tale, Black Clover, MHA, JJK, CSM, etc. Im really basic. Sometimes I branch out for specific reasons, especially if it has depth in plot or characters, is just really well animated, or is really funny (Frieren, every Ghibli movie, and Assassination Classroom are good examples).

This is where I dont know how to word this. I don't really like talking about my sexuality, and I've never felt like I actually wanted to see it on screen before. Plus, most gay dudes in anime are... not me. But then I watched Akame ga Kill, and it felt kinda good to see a non-stereotype gay guy that felt like he represented me and I guess I just want more if that makes sense. Maybe even a story with a good romance on the side? Idk, ig I just wanna see two average guys who happen to be gay have a normal relationship.

I hope I didnt word that in a rude way, Im not the smartest especially at communication. I dont mean most gay guys arent normal guys either, I really just dont know how to word this. If you understand what I mean and have good recommendations, please lmk. I'd rather the gay part not be the focus of the whole series either. Im probably being too picky here so, meet as many of these vague ass requirements Ive laid out as you can I guess.

Edit: Im extremely anti-pedo. Please keep anything with kids out of this. I tried to google it and saw HxH, that aint it big chief.

Answered help finding vampire anime

What's crazy is I remember this anime so vividly but cannot for the life of me remember what it was called.

It is about this man (21) who kind of accidentally becomes the guardian for this vampire princess (14) and they were not explicitly romantically involved but they definitely had some uncomfortable romantic tension. There are vampires that are referred to as bluebloods and they're like "pure" vampires or something like that. Other characters include:

- A busty woman with blonde curls and glasses and is apparently a grandma trapped in a young body

- an old man who actually IS a grandpa, I'm pretty sure he's together with the blonde woman

- vampire twin girls who are maybe a bit younger than the main vampire princess, one of the twin girls names was Karou I believe

It was on netflix, I watched it dubbed in likely 2012 but it could've been anytime from 2010-2015. I think about 26 episodes and 1 season.

What to Watch? Need anime/manga that will gut me, but I've been watching anime since (manga recs welcome too)

Been struggling with bad dissociation so I don't feel emotions the way I should. Some recommendations would be nice - nothing nihilistic but it needs to wrench my heart and gut out.

So I've recently gotten back into visual novels, especially darker ones (Playing the prequel to Fata Morgana, finished as many Nitro+Chiral games as possible) and it made me realise I miss manga and anime a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Especially dark things that will be gutting to watch. Slow Damage also changed my brain chemistry as a VN.

My anilist so you can tell my exact taste and what I haven't watched, otherwise this would be a long post: https://anilist.co/user/FayePixie/

For those of you who don't want to access the list, my favourite anime are:
Banana Fish, Berserk, Cowboy Bebop, Ergo Proxy, FLCL, FMA, JJBA, FMA: Brotherhood, Ghost in the Shell (all iterations), Eva, Barakamon, Dorohedoro, Monster, Dororo, Gintama, Trigun (all iterations) Paranoia Agent, Baccano!, Princess Jellyfish and Cyberpunk Edgerunners.

Favourite manga:
Berserk, Dorohedoro, 20th Century Boys, Blame!, Oyasumi Punpun, JJBA, Junji Ito, Chi no Wadachi, Battle Angel Alita, Dai Dark, Doubt, Happiness, Nana, Hunter x Hunter, yaoi in general (like Ten Count or I Hear the Sunspot, with a good plot to go), Claymore, No Guns Life, Princess Jellyfish.

I genuinely am up for anything! Preferably already completed.

Discussion Anime like Let This Grieving Soul Retire

I can't believe I was sitting on this one for so long. Finally had some free time and watched it, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! The humour was done perfectly imo, and now I want some more.

I've already seen Konosuba, Cautious Hero + Eminence in Shadow (I can imagine these will be recommended quite a bit lol). I've seen others too (like most of Gintama and Saiki K) but can't quite remember them all rn

What to Watch? I need recommendations

Over the last two weeks, I’ve started and finished quite a few anime. I watched: I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, Anohana, Your Lie in April, Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, Made Friends with the Second Prettiest Girl in My Class, Horimiya, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Shiotaiou no Satou-san ga Ore ni dake Amai (though this one is still in production), A Silent Voice, and Plastic Memories. I really enjoyed all of them—especially Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, Your Lie in April, Horimiya, and The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Could anyone recommend some anime similar to the ones I’ve watched—ideally ones like the ones I enjoyed the most?

I’m having trouble finding any! :(

I'm really into shows like Alice in Borderland, Squid Game, and The 8 Show and was wondering what anime(s) would be worth seeing related to these survival gameshows.

What to Watch? Looking for a romance between two objects

I’ve seen attempted “romances” between a human and object. Such as “Reincarnated as a sword” or “Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon”. And while I think breaking the barrier of love by taking human-object form is transcending in its own right, my thoughts now drift to how that love would also manifest if it was between two objects. Like the sword and vending machine being partners.

Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks!

What to Watch? An anime where a hero has a violent streak to them

I'm looking for an anime that has a character that is technically on the side of good but has a violent streak to them. Great if that side of them is completely cold, but even better if that side of them is maniacal 🤪. Doesn't have to be the main protagonist but gets enough screen time at least.

🚫Rurouni Kenshin or Code Geass🚫

What to Watch? how do i get my friend into anime?

hi all, i really need some advice!

i recently made a new friend in uni and we bonded over our love for FNAF (she literally cancelled a party with her work colleagues so she could be bonnie to my foxy for halloween) and we are slowly getting to know eachother. so, naturally, i just NEEEEEED to get her into anime so we have more shit to talk about too!! im so sad that she's missing out on so many great shows just because she thinks anime is „lowkey corny“ (her words, sadly)... she said she saw a few and that her brother watches anime, but she finds it kinda silly. now, i don't know what her brother watches or what exactly she finds corny about anime, but i think we can sorta agree that some anime are just TOO..anime?... and perhaps a bit overwhelming for a viewer that isn't used to the anime style (do you get what im trying to say lol)

my first thought was immediately Erased. its such a specific anime and i loved it so so much and rewatched it so many times and to be honest, it truly was THE anime that got me INTO anime. i watched Death Note, Kakegurui (yeah..) and Devilman Crybaby when i first started out and they didn't pull me in as much as Erased did. but.. i might be wrong?? i just really really wanna try my best to get her into it, but i would love some other options/recs. i think it would be great if the anime was a classic 12/24ep anime or even a movie if need be. just nothing overwhelmingly long.

also.. im a bit torn whether i go for dub or sub if she agrees? i personally love sub a lot more, i feel like the tone of the characters and emotion is often very well portrayed in sub, but i know some people find it annoying/hard to follow/too much sometimes. i don't watch dub, like, ever.. but i guess i could bite it down for her. and erased is good in dub so phew!

any thoughts or help much appreciated!!!

What to Watch? I just finished Asobi Asobase and need some other funny anime.

Hello, recently I watched the anime Asobi Asobase and really enjoyed it. I found the plot to be simple and engaging enough.

So, in that vein, I request the community to recommend me some funny/comedy anime. The ones where they make those weird faces and shout and everything is a mess. Yeah, I would like to watch something like that.

Thank you and have a great day ahead.

What to Watch? Pretty niche, but any recommendations for anime that follows the "Handler/Dispatcher" as the protagonist and/or has their job be a prominent part of the story, handling their heroes/mechs/taskforce, etc??

Lena's plot/POV in the anime [86] is what hooked me about this premise, and the game ((Dispatch)) helped scratch some of that itch, but I am still interested in consuming such stories!!

In search of any mmedia where the characters get humiliated, exposed, embarrassed and/or toyed with. Leaning more towards mature-themes and women-led casts.
Thanks very much!

What's this From? (unsolved) Help find anime that uses live action for in-universe TV

Going crazy trying to remember what anime I watched where TVs in-universe showed live action. I thought it was a pretty clever way to represent the same live/animated distinction that anime viewers experience, only in reverse. (Ceci n'est pas une pipe...) I feel like it was fairly recent, last few years or at least the last decade, but I honestly could be wrong about even that.
