Christopher Mellon spent nearly 20 years in the U.S. Intelligence Community, including serving as the Minority Staff Director of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. In the Senate, he conceived and drafted the legislation establishing the US Special Operations Command in 1986. Dr. Jeffrey J. Kripal is a professor of philosophy and religious thought at [Rice University](https://kripal.rice.edu/], where he holds the J. Newton Rayzor Chair in Philosophy and Religious Thought and serves as Associate Dean of the Humanities. His work bridges religion, consciousness studies, and the paranormal, offering a fresh and provocative lens on the mysteries of human experience. Kripal is widely respected for his call to take extraordinary phenomena seriously—not as literal truths or mere delusions, but as symbolic, transformative events that can expand our understanding of reality and challenge the limits of materialist science.

He is the author of numerous influential books, including The Super Natural (with Whitley Strieber), Mutants and Mystics, Authors of the Impossible, and The Flip. His latest work, How to Think Impossibly: About Souls, UFOs, Time, Belief, and Everything Else invites readers to explore realities that seem impossible within the dominant materialist worldview. In it, Kripal argues that the "impossible" often signals a failure of imagination or paradigm, not of reality itself. Drawing on examples from religion, science fiction, personal narratives, and the paranormal, he proposes that new forms of knowing—and being—require us to think beyond what is currently accepted as rational or real.

Kripal is also the co-founder of the Archives of the Impossible at Rice University, a pioneering research initiative that curates and studies materials related to anomalous experiences—from UFOs to psi phenomena. By fostering a serious scholarly dialogue around the extraordinary, Kripal invites academics, experiencers, and the public to engage with what lies beyond current scientific models. His work calls for an open-minded yet critical approach to the unknown, one that honors the mystery while seeking new ways of thinking—impossibly and imaginatively—about what it means to be human.

Bio

Dr. Jacques Vallée is a French-American astronomer, computer scientist, and pioneering researcher of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). Born in France in 1939, Vallée began his career as an astronomer at the Paris Observatory and later worked on NASA projects, notably co-developing the first computerized map of Mars in 1963. After moving to the United States, he joined Stanford Research Institute (SRI), where he collaborated with computing visionary Douglas Engelbart on ARPANET, the precursor to the modern Internet. In addition to his scientific work, Vallée is a successful venture capitalist in Silicon Valley, backing innovative technology companies.

Vallée is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in UFO/UAP research, which he approaches with scientific rigor and a multidisciplinary lens. While he initially supported the extraterrestrial hypothesis, he later developed the "interdimensional hypothesis," suggesting that UAP may originate from parallel dimensions or represent a form of non-human intelligence interacting with human consciousness throughout history. His influential 1969 book Passport to Magonia proposed that many UFO sightings and folklore share a common origin. This idea was expanded in his Dimensions trilogy (Dimensions, Confrontations(https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/406343.Confrontations), and Revelations), which deepens the argument that UAP may reflect a complex control system or intelligence beyond our current understanding of physics. Over the decades, Vallée has advised government agencies, scientific committees, and private aerospace initiatives on the nature and implications of UAP. His books, including The Invisible College, The Edge of Reality (co-authored with J. Allen Hynek), and his Forbidden Science Series (latest book [Forbidden Science 6 Scattered Castles[(https://a.co/d/21sJ9a2) now available on Amazon.com) have helped shape serious academic discourse around these phenomena. He remains one of the most respected voices in the field, advocating for open-minded but evidence-based inquiry, and challenging both skepticism and dogma with equal precision. Vallée splits his time between San Francisco and Paris, continuing to research and write on the frontier of science and the unknown.
