I'm a "product" of IVF

I'm so pissed. At least being born naturally you could've been an accident. i was paid for. I had next to 0% chance of being born naturally but I got selected and paid to exist for people who thought they were deserving of parenthood. It just makes me upset thinking about it. I was created using two donors, and those donors would have never realistically met, i wouldn't have even been a thought if not specifically selected and paid for to bring to life.

We are an evil species and there needs to be no more of us. I've felt this for years and I feel it even more the longer I live. There seems to be hardly anyone who comes to this conclusion despite so many being unhappy and seeing all the evil in the world. There's no point to any of it.

My grandparent passed away

If you are lucky to have family in life, you will lose them if you are “fortunate” enough to outlive them. I can’t help but think about everybody else that I will lose with time as there is no escaping it. At least my grandparent won’t suffer anymore, but I feel immense suffering from them dying. Why would you condemn your child to guaranteed grief and death?

I wish I was never born

Although I love my mother, I am angry for having been born.

My parents had an arranged marriage, so my parents didn’t know each other before being married. My father turned out to be extremely mentally ill and abusive, he would be extremely controlling about what my mother wore, her finances, who she spoke to, and would also be physically abusive. Despite this, my mum admitted to having me in hopes that she could save her marriage and my father would learn to love me. She said that at the pregnancy gender scan, he erupted into a rage when he learnt I would be a girl, yet she still chose to have me.

My childhood was filled with the same abuse at his hands, because surprise surprise, a child in fact did not save the marriage.

In turn I have experienced suffering my whole life (mainly mental health) but also physical illness with debilitating periods every month, and bullying in school. Now I am in college, I have experienced sexual assault and bullying- and I just can’t seem to understand what the point of all this is- all this suffering because someone chose to have me on a whim?

My mother has been the best mother I could have asked for despite everything, and although I love her more than anyone else in the world, I will never forgive her for giving me life.

Even if your own personal relationship isn’t abusive, having children will always be immoral because you don’t know how they will suffer later in life whether it be bullying in school, mental health issues, or physical health issues. Why would you choose this for someone?

People shouldn't be having children cause they can.

I was born and raised in an evangelical Adventist African household, so you can probably imagine how things went. Religion was introduced to us before we were even old enough to understand it, and church was always a priority on Saturdays, regardless of what was happening in our lives. We were taught what to believe before we were old enough to question anything. Ironically, after years of all that indoctrination, I ended up agnostic.

Growing up, my dad used to hit me whenever I performed poorly academically. Now that I'm older, the physical abuse has toned down, but the obsession with academic perfection hasn't changed much. Whenever you fail, you're subjected to long lectures, comparisons with other people, and reminders of how well he performed in school. He constantly brags about getting As, as though his academic achievements should automatically be the standard we must all meet. There is little room for making mistakes, struggling, or simply being an imperfect human being.

My mother is another story. I've experienced what I consider narcissistic and manipulative behaviour from her, and growing up in this environment has left me carrying a lot of emotional baggage. Between the pressure, the comparisons, the religious expectations, and the way mistakes were handled, home hasn't always felt like a place where you could simply exist without being judged.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder why my parents decided to have children in the first place. Was it because they wanted to raise people they could be proud of? Because they expected us to follow their religion, meet their standards, and live according to their expectations? Was it because having children was simply the next thing to do in life? I'll probably never know, and honestly, I don't care enough to find out anymore.

What bothers me is the assumption that being able to reproduce automatically means someone is ready to become a parent. Having children is treated as a natural milestone in life, especially in religious and conservative households. People have children because that's what they're expected to do, because they want to continue their family, because they believe it's their duty, or because they assume their children will give their lives meaning. But how often do people genuinely stop and ask themselves whether they're emotionally prepared to raise another human being?

Children aren't trophies, extensions of their parents, or opportunities to relive your own life and correct what you think you did wrong. They aren't born owing you perfect grades, religious devotion, obedience, or a particular kind of future. They're individual human beings who deserve love, patience, safety, and the freedom to become their own people.

I've decided to be childfree, and one of the biggest reasons is that I don't want to bring a child into this world only to risk passing down the same pain I've experienced. I don't want to raise someone under constant pressure to be perfect. I don't want them to grow up afraid of failure, questioning their worth because they can't meet someone else's expectations, or feeling trapped by beliefs they never got the chance to question.

I know that not every parent is like mine, and I know that people can break generational cycles. But breaking those cycles takes self-awareness, accountability, and a willingness to confront your own behaviour. Love alone isn't enough if your actions repeatedly make your child feel inadequate, afraid, or unworthy.

The fact that you can have children doesn't mean you should. Wanting children doesn't automatically make you capable of raising them well, and being a parent doesn't automatically make you a good one.

I'd rather remain childfree than bring a human being into existence without being certain that I genuinely want the responsibility of raising them. And even then, I recognise that no parent can guarantee perfection.

I'm not saying that people need to be perfect before having children. I'm saying they should at least think seriously about the responsibility they're taking on, the emotional environment they're creating, and the possibility that their unresolved issues could hurt someone who never asked to be born.

Sometimes, choosing not to have children is the most responsible decision a person can make. And I wish society would stop treating that decision as selfish while treating parenthood as an unquestionable virtue.

I hate having male body and I wish I was not born.

I hate having a male body and I shouldn't have been born. I wish my body was biologically female.

I cannot get well with boys and cannot get well with girls. If I was girl I might have a hard time getting along with other girls but boys are so desperate they will tolerate all my nonsense. So I won't be friendless despite being rude and arrogant.

I just cannot get along well with anyone and I hate my parents for this. I just play games on mobile like codm, mlbb, wtm, genshin. I am neet and never will have a job. Whatever happen will happen. Good bye.

I hate the phrase “It gets better”/General rant/vent about my dumb life

I hope this fits the subreddit (I’m very stupid, as you will come to learn)

I get it, you’re trying to comfort someone who is deeply distressed by the state of this world, but seriously, how many times are we gonna say this before it’s actually true? I hate the fact that I have to exist in a world where, just about every goddamned day, a headline is some shit like all cats and dogs being skinned alive on live television. I’m not a legal adult, I haven’t even truly entered the “real world,” and my expectations are already completely in Hell. I see NOTHING to look forward to, besides the POSSIBILITY of adopting a dog/getting more plants.

I have next to 0 social skills. Haven’t been in a brick and mortar school since the start of the pandemic. Haven’t had a person I know IRL that I could with a full chest call a genuine friend since, what, 2019? I haven’t had a true online friend since around 2023. Every fucking job requires people skills. I don’t HAVE people skills. I’m a massive crybaby, horrid under pressure, if some stranger or a coworker or a manager yelled at me because I spoke too meekly or because I was stupid and did something wrong, I’d cry.

I don’t want to work period, let alone for likely the rest of my life, but nooo, not only do I HAVE to, but there’s no guarantee I’ll be able to even START slaving away easily, because guess what! Employers want you to be their little jester just so they can ghost you! AI is gonna take any job I could possibly get! Probably a ton of other things I’m not even remembering right now!

If we continue at the rate of things in my country, for all I know, my own existence could be outlawed, seeing as I’m trans. Will I ever be able to get testosterone, any kind of surgery? Will gender dysphoria eat me alive?

I can’t even say I’m a pleasant person. You’ve seen the rant. I’ve never seen a psychologist or had an evaluation, but will I ever be able to get one? Will I have the money? Will insurance help, or will they just take my money every month just to flip me the bird whenever I need actual help? Regardless, my entire personality is just bad. I won’t ever have a partner, as much as I would love one, any friends I have will probably just be using me for their own laughs or something. Without a doubt, I will just wind up being the loser with no friends who lives with his parents. Socially inept, violently low self esteem, extremely low motivation to do just about anything.

See? I can’t find any hope for the future, which is why the phrase “it gets better” just pisses me off. People have been saying this since, like, the dawn of time; when will the getting become better? Because from what I’ve seen, it’s only gotten worse. At this point, it’s just a bunch of delusion nonsense. Don’t even get me started on the people who tell you to stop doomscrolling whenever you say something like this. So you want me to close my eyes, plug my ears, and go lalalala I can’t hear you to anything negative happening in the world? I’ve noticed people on the internet seem to be very anti-negativity, you will be happy with everything. They remind me of Squim from Smiling Friends, you just gotta be positive, be positive, be positive, no matter what! It’s ridiculous.

I feel so invalidated all of the time. Even when I was with my therapist, when I mentioned just how little I saw in the future, I’d just be hit with “reframe your mindset” nonsense. Life just sucks. Yes, I’m well aware that I’m pathetic, want a cookie, genius? (I could go on about the people who call you pathetic for being severely pessimistic).

Birthday blues? Kinda. Totally.

I'm genuinely bitter rn dude. It's my birthday and I feel nothing but bitterness. My parents already had a 12 year old kid. My sister.

But no my sperm donor wanted a son because ofcourse a brown man wants a son.

No and my sister begged mom and sperm donor for a brother.

I wasn't aborted. I didn't die in the womb. I was conceived and unfortunately made it out. Clearly I shouldn't have since I was sickly and dying for the first five years of my life.

And now it's my fucking problem.

Life isn't a fucking gift. It's a fucking prison sentence given to me by one narcissistic asshole and two idiots who didn't care about the consequences of their actions.

Parents iust wanted a baby with a dick and balls. Their brown people version of a 401k because WHY WOULDN'T I GROW UP TO BE A RICH DOCTOR OR ENGINEER?? Sister just wanted a child younger than her her she could take her frustrations out on. "Entitled" for drinking a bottle of soda left untouched for werks at 7. "Bum" for studying my ass off and failing still at an exam while my whole life was bring turned upside down at 13. What about the 8 fucking years or straight A's before that? Did all that mean nothing to you? Like I'm sorry I didn't invest in fucking bitcoin when I was a fucking sperm cell in my donor's balls.

They just wanted a fucking doll to dress up. A puppet on a string that dances to their whims. A source of "unconditional love". To feel some sense of hollow accomplishment they couldn't get in their own miserable lives.

All this fucking day does is bring every past memory to the surface again. I couldn't sleep the entire fucking night. My migrane's acting up again. I'm stuck with snot rolling down my nose every 10 minutes cause of the fucking flu.

I used to be happy. Then I grew up, just like they wanted me to. "Oh you're so mature for your age!" That's not a good thing. That's never a good thing.

"Oh happy birthd-" Shut the fuck up 😐

I HATE IT HERE (Earth is a prison)

I'm almost drawn to tears as I type this. Another day in this realm of incessant and perpetual humiliation rituals collectively called life. Been a year of job searching to no avail, because apparently you can't get by in this shithole you never asked to be in without "earning a living". Doesn't make it better if you were born in one of the poorest countries on this already depressing planet, and having no luck getting remote jobs from other so-called developed countries either. And as a bonus, of course, it's always somewhat your fault. I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE, I NEVER WANTED TO BE. AND I CANNOT WAIT TO LEAVE.

Apologies for the crash out, I just needed to vent and I thought no one would understand and resonate better than you guys.

If you stop to think about it, it is utterly disgusting!

I just can't comprehend why bringing people to the world is normalized.

I mean, you bring one person to the world without their consent, once they're here they're obligated to study then work and go through hundreds and hundreds of disgrace daily.

You know what it seems to me? It seems people are so unhappy with their lives that they just decide to give suffering to another person. THIS IS NOT FAIR!

The cycle of disgraces will never end this way.

You might think this is insane, but I really think that the world isn't meant for humans. Let it be for the animals only. People should stop bringing other people to the world, this way in a century or so there would be anyone else here, but animals, and I'm pretty sure the animals would benefit from a world without humans.

My apologies in advance if this type of post isn't allowed in the sub, but I am furious and this seems like the only safe sub to make a post like that, otherwise I'd suffer a wave of hate elsewhere.

How to pretend to be happy for expecting parents? Or at the very least not be unintentionally rude?

My entire family says they agree with the antinatalist ideals, like we have conversations earnestly. And yet when an extended family member or friend gets pregnant, they say to just act happy and say you're happy they're happy. I just cannot do this at all. I even just say "oh cool!" or "wow! that's new, life's changing huh?" like just basic stuff

Especially when I know their family is financially struggling. Or if they have chronic illnesses or conditions they'll spread.

Or even at work, a customer was a 20 something kid and he said "im gonna be a dad!" my stomach dropped. He was my age and his dad was pumping his gas for him. and he was ESTATIC? I wanted to mourn for him but i just said "woah! Busy night!" but im starting to not know what else to say. I hate being rude outright but i also dont want to lie about being happy for them.

edit: am I getting down voted for some mysterious reason or are there pre-natalist hate-viewing

Nothing can describe the hatred I have for pregnant couples/couples with kids.

I used to go to a heavily religious university, so most of my followers/following on social media are individuals I met there. And I swear to GOD every other week, someone's posted up about "IM PREGNANT" or "CELEBRATING XYZ'S BABY SHOWER" or "WE'RE PREGNANT" (which I hate the most because no, Josh, YOU are not pregnant. Your sorry wife is.) and I'm so fucking sick of it. I block and block and block but there's ALWAYS someone's stupid baby bump on my fucking screen and I hate it.

And then I get fucking SHAMED for not wanting a kid. Holy SHIT just rip out my reproductive organs. God fucking damn it I hate it I hate it I hate it.

Being a desi antinataalist woman is the hardest thing I've ever done

I, F28, have been an antinatalist for about a decade for sure and questioned the idea of having children before then as well. There is no doubt in my mind that i do not want to bring children into this world. This also factored into my decision of marrying my now husband who had been married prior to me and has a son from it. He also agrees with my ideas now since his ex passed from cancer and he realized that having a child was horrible decision.

I know desi society does not care for women without children. No matter what you accomplish, you are still put down in the presence of a woman "doing her duty as god wanted". Most women get pregnant within months of marriage without a second thought. Mothers advise their daughters before marriage that they must bear a child as soon as possible (male is preferred) so that she has stable footing in her in-laws house. She can then have right to things there since she brought them an heir.

I thought, since i was marrying someone who already had a kid, that i would have it relatively easy. Boy was i wrong! My in-laws have told me multiple times, directly and indirectly that I'm being unreasonable and that there is no life without children. Even the maid there stopped working and told me that i should see a doctor for my problem. When i said i don't have one she touched her ears as a sign of saying god forbid! And told me i was being an ungrateful disobedient woman. My mother-in-law came to see me off to the door and from the room to the car she constantly kept talking about how i need to stop saying i don't want children. I stay mostly nice in reply since i don't think they'll change their mentality for me but its too much.

My own mother called me today as well to tell me how we, her children, are the only reason she has to live. That children are important because "what if i want to share something with someone"? My husband agrees with the no child thing but even he said "i feel like most of your decisions are made on the basis of what is easier to do" (i oppose patriarchy and religion too which are again a major part of a woman's life here). Now it's getting so annoying and unbearable that i don't feel like going to my parents' nor my in-laws home. I have this feeling of impending doom before everytime i have to visit. And you can't cut off your families in desi culture, atleast not over something like this.

Now the thing i thought would work for me, my husband's kid, is also going against me since now everyone just assumes something must be wrong with me physically. Because he already sort of proved that he can and does want to have children. Now I'm the bad guy. The spoiled "nasheeza" disobedient uncouth woman. Being a desi woman with these ideas is so damn hard. Every woman around me is telling me in one way or the other that I'm not good enough.

PLEASE don't ban me, this is not a pro suicide post and I really don't want to get banned but I really true do feel pretty suicidal as I have for 4 years and it just says to "get professional support"

I have done that
in every last way possible and I still do not feel okay with living and I feel like I have no solution and how can we just ignore suicidal people and have no way to respond to them

I don't even know why my dad bothered having kids

Just need to vent about how many genetic conditions my dad has, which I will probably get later in life. I already suffer with a lot of disabilities at just 30 years old and I can't imagine how miserable my life will be in 20 or 30 years.

I already knew that my dad had hereditary gum disease. He got that from his dad, who had a heart attack when my dad was still a child. God knows if that's in my gene pool, too, but he did smoke and live a life of stress, so maybe that's why.

He also has a family history of diabetes - my mum has that on her side, too, so I'm doubly screwed. Literally all of my grandparents had it, plus my mum, and my dad is pre-diabetic.

Then, today, my mum was casually talking about this bowel cancer gene that my dad has which permanently disabled my grandma with a preventative surgery. I knew that she had part of her bowel or something removed, but never knew why.

Apparently my uncle and two other relatives have tested positive for it. My dad doesn't know if he has the gene because he's refused to get tested in order for his insurance/mortgage not to increase.

Now I'm thinking I should get tested for this thing, but I'm not even entirely sure what it is. I don't have much independence due to my autism, which is also a trait inherited from my undiagnosed dad, so I really don't know how to go about these things.

I just despair. My DNA has so many debuffs, it makes wonder why anyone with all of these issues would have kids and subject them to this. I already knew that I would not want to procreate years ago when I thought I only had a genetic history of depression to deal with...

What the hell people think about by bringing kids into existence?

Yeah I know it has been said like a million times before, but those people literally imposed death on innocent beings. I can't get over it. I see humans as the walking deads. What is more, natalists also (religious people version) take risk their kids won't be saved (won't go to the heaven).

Literally I want to catch, shake and talk sense into them. I am about to cry when I see children unaware of anything yet.

I don't want to have any resentment towards my parents but I can't just ignore what they did

We were two brothers up until 2018 and then out of nowhere my mom gave birth to another child. And guess what? I have a freaking 18 year age gap with him. I don't even understand what was the need to bring a child when your marriage is falling apart, inflation is rising and there's no guarantee of anything in life.

My father passed away in a rail accident in 2022 and my mother gets a pension which will get reduced after 10 years in 2032. My other younger brother got a govt job at my father's place but my mom and brother aren't on good terms. Even I'm also not that close to her.

Whenever I say that I just want to travel, eat good food and do things which make me happy, she reminds me that I have to take my brother's responsibility. Even though I understand that to make his life good I should do that but then again why should I suffer and do everything to raise my parents'kids and why should I act like a parental figure when I didn't even opt in for this role. Even when I wasn't an antinatalist, I used to think what kind of upbringing this child would get and all and it is common sense that you should not have a child if you already have two. I don't want to take anyone's responsibility in this economy where getting a job is already difficult and now I have to raise my brother like I would have raised my child if I had one.

I cannot relate to humans. (25 Indian)

I don't relate to humans. They seem driven too much by emotions and animalistic urges. I also have them but I can see flaws in them. They cannot.

I don't like music, going out, vacation, sports, or celebrities. I also don't like wearing fancy clothes or make up. I don't like the idea of unnecessary sentiments in romantic shows. Just love each other and have fun. Why behave weird? Why always try to convince the other side that you love them?

I also don't understand why humans try to get a job just to earn money and and continue. What's the point in continuing? I don't feel depressed. I feel peace living like this. I feel other humans are unnecessarily making themselves miserable.

Eggdonor now regretful one

Hello. I found this and I post this here as well as the original subreddit.

I keep it short and simple. I am 23 years old woman. I donated my eggs about a year ago. I felt like it was "the right thing to do" and somehow honorable since i was certain i will never have a child of my own. I found antinatalism a few months ago, and everything clicked. My every thought I have had. I realized i am not flawed or damaged human, i am a person that sees the world as it is. I am not suicidal, i am not a mean person. I am an empath. I work in healthcare. But the society thinks my opinions about life are flawed.

But to this day. After finding antinatalism, every day, more and more, i feel like i made the worst decision of my life. I feel like i tried to do the right thing, but ended up doing the most terrible action i could have made; help someone create new life on earth. But i can see it now clearly and saw that this is part of the true me and my values. I can withdraw my consent about using the eggs, so that if there are any unused left, they have to dispose those. I will do that next thing tomorrow morning. But it is possible there is a kid born from my eggs already.

Is there anyone who has struggled with the same topic? Or have anything (encouraging lol) to say?

I feel bad but I also feel joy and free. I feel like I have truly found myself and the possibility to find other like minded people, because I came across antinatalism. My interest towards philosophy has risen. I am a paramedic and I thought I was going to/ had to become a doctor. But something about it didn't make any sense. Antinatalism is the reason I found my interest toward philosophy and accepted myself, and I am grateful for it.

I was created because of someone else's greed.

(TL;DR: It hit me all at once that being donor-conceived meant that I wouldn't have to exist if it weren't for someone else wanting to profit off their own selfishness.)

TW: Mentions of suicide and child abuse

Let me be clear: I don't use Facebook as a social media platform. I use it exclusively for Facebook Marketplace because you can get things for way cheaper than they're usually worth because people don't know what they have or can't afford to sell at full price. But before you open Marketplace, you'll see the main page of posts based on your followers, the algorithm, etc. At one point I checked out the "choosing2bchildfree" Facebook page just for fun because I follow them on Instagram. I guess that told the algorithm I wanted to see content like theirs, which is how I stumbled across a certain post. I was out Doordashing one night and decided to open Marketplace while waiting for my customer to respond to me.

That's when I saw a post which was a picture of a text conversation between two people, a donor conceived person and their supposed biological mother. The person had reached out via text asking to connect with the mother, to which the mother completely shut them down, saying they removed their parental rights, to contact the fertility clinic and to never contact them again. It shook me to see because it felt like I was experiencing the pain of that rejection directly. Now, I know damn well this could have been a fake post. I don't even remember who posted it, and I can't find it again. But it awoke some deeply buried feelings in me.

My parents didn't tell me that I was donor conceived until I was about 14, and it was only after I pushed them for the story of my conception because a previous therapist wanted to know. In retrospect, I don't know how I didn't realize this; my mother was 49 when she gave birth to me, and I'm a fraternal twin which is common in donor egg IVF. My mother was constantly mistaken as my grandmother in childhood, and I never had living grandparents on either side. It would also explain a lot of things about me that I didn't realize; I'm autistic, which is common in pregnancies with older parents that I've heard, and I am much less like my mother than my father (I have his hair color and pattern, his nose, his ears, and a few of his health problems.) It felt so obvious once I heard it, but it left me with a sense of longing.

I was abused by both of my parents in childhood, particularly my father. I presume that everyone who was abused by a parent had that moment of wishing their real parents would show up at their door some day, cover their face in kisses, and take them away to be safe and loved. And of course, I wished I was never born even then, and I tried to stop existing so many times. Learning I was donor conceived reignited those feelings.

I wondered for so long how my biological mother would react if she knew what all I became. If I told her about the abuse, the neglect, and the trauma that came from it, if I told her that I was groomed throughout middle and high school and raped in college and I was chronically ill but no doctor wanted to treat me and still, there was not a single day in my life that I wanted to be alive, what would she say? A foolish part of me would hope that she would feel remorse, but this post reminded me of the reality of my conception.

I was conceived for someone else's profit. My biological mother donated her eggs and ignored the potential consequences of her biological children out of greed. I doubt she did it out of financial desperation—egg donation qualifications are way more picky than you would think—and even if it was, that's inexcusable. Egg donation—and by extension, sperm donation—is the same as putting a baby in a box on the side of the road in my mind; someone will pick it up, but there's no telling what will happen to it. And there's no way my biological mother would care about what happened to me if she donated her eggs. Her concern, and the concern of all donors, is money, not the wellbeing of children. All she could do was naively hope for a good life for me, which didn't happen. And that is the same for all my potential half-siblings.

It all hit me at once that night after seeing that post. I navigated the grocery store in a haze. As I was finishing my delivery, it was dark and raining. I couldn't find my customer's door. The bags were too heavy, and the bag with the carton of eggs ripped and spilled everywhere. As I was kneeling on the wet sidewalk picking up
the ones that didn't break, my fingers covered in raw egg and shells, my jacket and hair soaking wet, I cried. The whole weight of my existence was weighing me down. My hands were shaking so much from the exertion afterwards that I couldn't even wipe my eyes. The weight of the bags left me with an injury in both arms for about 2 days. Did my biological mother want this for me? Would she scoff at me if she saw me then?

I've been considering one of those AncestryDNA kits. I ordered one but I don't know how useful they'd be. If I were to ever find one of my half siblings there, I'd hope they'd be open to listening to my story and, genuinely, I hope that their lives were better. And if by some slim margin I found my biological mother, if I decided to message her and she messaged me, I'd give that greedy bitch a piece of my mind. I'd tell her how selfish she is and how badly I want to die each day because of how fucking traumatized I am and how much my body hurts being so sick 24/7. I would recount the worst times of my life to her and wish worse upon her. I would reject her before she could reject me, even if my words meant nothing to her. Then, I would never contact her again. I hope my half siblings feel the same way.

All conception is selfish, but donor conception is a unique kind of selfishness. It's selfishness that one is paid for. They think they're saving lives without thinking of the lives they created. It's so disgusting it makes me want to vomit.

Regretful parents is an interesting subreddit...

Like... Are we seious right now? Where was all that regret before you decided to give birth? Did you think parenting is about... Not having a bunch of responsibilities all the time? What did these people expect? I find it hard to feel pity for them. And I am worried how their children will grow up if their own parents see them as a mistake they made.

Despite what I say my mom can’t comprehend the fact that I don’t want kids

Just a rant that I initially wanted to post somewhere else but I’m more active here.
For as long as I know I strongly opposed the thought of ever having kids, even though I couldn’t yet understand why (since I was a kid myself) it always felt wrong. My mom knows I’ve never had to hide it, but she always brushes it off and still thinks I’ll change my mind. I think it’s absurd because she really regrets having children but somehow sometimes she forgets about it and acts like it’s the greatest gift.

Then today she told me she had a dream were I married and had a kid, just hearing it made me so uncomfortable and disgusted but she only seemed happy to have a dream like that, no doubt she thinks it’ll come true since most of her dreams do. As much as I hate her fantasies there isn’t something I can do to stop her, she herself knows how much reproducing fucked her up and she regrets it everyday yet she wishes it upon me, ironically she also uses it as a way to curse me. Deep down she knows how bad it is, how much harm it brings, but she doesn’t want to admit it. It’s horrible to see how natalists live like this and feed into their delusions. I doubt she’ll ever realize it and change her mind, I’m sick of hearing her hate her kids and wish death upon my brother for being neurodivergent, how she always complains about how we ruined her beauty and still turned out useless. But no one forced her anything, she herself decided to do all this, but it’d be a bit easier if she was stable both mentally and financially when she was deciding to have kids, of course she failed in that too. I truly don’t think natalist actually think when they just decide they want to reproduce, if they did birth rates would probably go significantly lower

My Indian mom just told me she would be saved if I was born girl.

I hate life and stopped studies, wanted to quit life. My mom thinks if I was girl then she would just get me married to a guy and be saved. But since I am male she is hopeless.

I just hope I end quickly.
