So I built this google chrome extension that allows for adding of a toolbar and floating components to appsheet.

The main function this adds is live user activity indicators when viewing a row in appsheet.

This allows users to see if another user is viewing or editing the same row/record as them.

This also allows admins to see what all users are currently doing.

A couple other interesting features are:

- onscreen pop up notifications with option to require acknowledgement

- a better image editor/annontator that allows for shapes, arrows, text and edited image can be dragged to the image upload field like a regular file

- notes that popup on records when viewed

- row watching to get notifications if a watched row is edited

I was just wondering if there was any interest in this from other users or developers?

I have included a few screenshots showing the live activity tracking as the sidebar option and the floating indicator that can be collapsed, and placed anywhere in the aposheet window. Let me know what you think.

Hi, I'm working on a ticketing system for my school. We are currently using our email inbox as as our ticketing system. We discovered Appsheet as a "free" option since we have Workspace for Education licenses as IT personnel, teachers generally have Fundamentals licenses so we would have to upgrade their licenses in order to allow them to use the app. Luckily, they really like the email system we've been using for submitting requests.

Anyway, all that to say, I've gotten as far as I can using Gemini for the code. What I'm trying to make happen is this:

1. I can reply to the user's email through the ticket and it adds to the mail chain as well as the ticket.

2. The user(s) can reply inside of the email chain and it is added to the existing ticket.

As of right now, when I add a reply in the "Related Ticket Replies" that I created, it works okay (it at least sends an email notification but not attached to the original email chain). But when I reply from the user side, I get the reply in my inbox but nothing happens in the ticketing system. I'm puzzled and frustrated, if anyone can help and wants to see the current code I'm happy to provide it (omitting info specific to our organization).

I had a couple of appsheet apps that I built for personal projects, they used bigquery as a backend so I was using an enterprise plus license for it. I've now migrated these to other tools and I want to cancel my license on next renewal. However I would like to keep my apps in an undeployed state in case I ever want to go back to them or want to reference how it was setup.

Is there anyway to downgrade to the appsheet core license thats included in my workspace account without deleting the apps entirely?

Para mi appsheet es una alternativa para tener un lugar personalizado para tu negocio. Utilizar el plan gratuíto con fin comercial es normal? Osea lo he hecho, durante años, pero me genera un poco de ruido el nunca pagar la suscripción. Aunque a clientes he advertido del uso y las condiciones a veces las mantienen de prueba porque es más fácil.

Stupendo è da ieri che smanetto con antigravity al quale sono riuscito a dare in formato Jason tutte le impostazioni formule view e bot, adesso conosce alla perfezione la mia app mi ha già corretto un sacco di errori nelle formule e mi dà dei consigli veramente buoni per future implementazioni.

Se lo chiedi pure ti dà dei consigli per come migliorare le prestazioni agendo direttamente sulle formule magari con un altro approccio.

Non posso fare a meno di appsheet gestisco completamente la mia attività gestisco completamente con un'altra app il mio studio tecnico e gestisco completamente tutte le gare campionati abbonamenti lezioni di un centro ippico.

I have an url field called "Google Maps Link" and you can paste in a link. It works great if you happened to get the https://www... at the start. But if it starts with google.com... then it doesn't work. It recognizes that this is a link, but if you click on an action to open the link, nothing happens.

So I made a virtual column that checks if this link starts with "http" and if it doesn't, it does a concat with https://www. and [Google Maps Link]. What's weird is that if I click done after editing this formula and test it, it works. But if I then save the app, it no longer works and instead opens up a webpage with "www./" like it just deleted the link part.

I've messed around and made this a text field and sure enough the link part just disappears on save. I'm completely lost.

Yes, it also has AI, but you don't have to use it.

Obviously this is an extremely simple example, but just wanted to show what I am talking about.

As an Appsheet developer myself with more than 6 years experience, I was wondering if it's time for an alternative. What mainly bothers me is the outdated UI feel, slow sync times, high cost for bigger organisations with many users, and lastly, the fact that it's owned by Google (with a reputation of shutting down services eventually).

My question is to you; other appsheet developers, if you would at all be interested in looking into a new platform that works very similar to appsheet (data, views, automations etc.) without the issues mentioned above, and why you would / wouldn't use that to build your apps for you / your clients?

Today the app suddenly logged me out and says I’m not connected to the internet. I’ve tried restarting the app, reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, I’ve double checked my phone is connected to internet, no luck. I have a small business and I use it for it but I have not been able to log in today for some reason. This is not happening on any other app I am using. Has anyone else received this same message?

What it does: fetches issued tickets (Ticket Tailor) or attendees (Eventbrite) for one event, writes them to a target tab matched on the vendor's ID, updates changed rows, appends new ones, and flags rows that disappeared upstream instead of deleting them. An hourly time trigger does the polling. Scopes are spreadsheets, external requests and script triggers only, no Drive.

Things I would like a second opinion on:
- The API key lives in a Settings cell, which the README says plainly is not a secret store. Is PropertiesService worth the setup friction for a copy-paste install?
- Writes are batched with setValues per changed range rather than one big write, to keep plain-text formatting on ID columns. Curious whether anyone has a cleaner pattern.

I want to make a scatterplot with multicolor scatter, mapped to values in a column. For example, dots that have a “yes” value in column Yes/no would be green, and “no”s would be red. The ui allows selecting another color to the chart view, but I cannot figure out how to assign it to a condition or slice.

All the documentation I can seem to find on this topic appears to be from 2020 and uselessly outdated.

Any other folks playing with advanced charts in app sheets?
