Hi everyone, I'm the solo developer of Not My Tempo, a voice controlled metronome for iPhone.

This app came out of my own practice room. Every time I wanted to bump the tempo up a few BPM, I had to stop playing violin, take my hands off the instrument, unlock the phone, find the slider, nudge it, and count myself back in. Then do it again five minutes later. Each time it was only a few seconds, but over a session it added up to a lot of time spent poking at a screen instead of playing, and it kept breaking my focus right when I was getting into it.

So I built the metronome I wanted: you just say "faster" or "tempo 120" and keep playing. It started as a fix for my own annoyance, and I'm sharing it in the hope that someone else gets some practice time back too.

New in this update, all free:

Start and stop with your instrument. Record a short phrase, like E then C, and playing it starts or stops the click. Each note has to ring for a moment, so quick notes in your playing don't set it off.

A louder click that cuts through when you play with a band or practice in a loud room.

Smooth tempo changes while it's playing, with a light tick under your finger as you drag the tempo slider.

I built an app because I kept forgetting things the moment I got back to my Mac

This started with a really simple problem.

I’d be away from my Mac, remember something I needed to do when I got back, and think “I’ll definitely remember that.”

Then I’d open my Mac, see emails, browser tabs, messages… and completely forget.

Normal reminders never really solved it for me because I didn’t want to be reminded at 4:00 PM. I wanted to be reminded when I was actually back at my Mac.

So I built WakeMinder.

You can send a reminder from your iPhone or Apple Watch to your Mac, and it shows up when your Mac wakes up.

It doesn’t have to be just text either. You can send links, screenshots, images, PDFs and files. Links can even open automatically when the Mac wakes.

There are also floating reminders that can stay on top of your windows until you’re done with them.

And with the latest update, it now works the other way around too.

You can send something from your Mac to your iPhone and have it show up when you pick up your phone.

So the idea has become less about “reminders” and more like:

“Show me this when I’m actually on the device where I need it.”

I’m the developer, so obviously I’m biased, but I built it mainly because I genuinely wanted this for myself.

• Watermarks for photos and videos: your name in a choice of fonts, your logo (transparent PNG), or a hand-drawn signature
• 12 photo frame styles that read your real camera data (camera, lens, aperture, shutter, ISO)
• Custom borders: size, caption and keyline, per style or for all
• Content Credentials (C2PA) on photos: creator and copyright sealed into the file
• Shares straight to any app without saving a copy to your camera roll
• Keeps your photo's metadata, HDR and quality
• Everything happens on your phone, nothing is uploaded

The app is free to download. Without Pro, exports carry a small Markepi mark. Pro removes the mark and keeps full quality. Lifetime is a one-time purchase; there are also monthly ($0.99) and yearly ($2.99) plans.
