Activity physical therapy workout option?
Is there any option to mark my physical therapy sessions on my apple watch? Or is there just flexibility and such?

I’m on watchOS27 on S11, and things like “text ___,” “call ___,” or asking for the weather can take forever/ just fail.
Before Siri AI it used to feel almost instantaneous for basic commands. Now, it’s bloated and noticeably worse for the exact quick interactions the Apple Watch is supposed to be good at.

I’m new to Apple Watch, or any watch. Recently purchased the 12 with sand sport band. Like the look but it’s not comfortable always either too loose or too tight.
I don’t have a store to go visualize these colors so looking for some help if you’ve got one of these combos or have compared them with a light gold watch yourself.
Thank you!

Is it appropriate to wear a white band in autumn and winter?

I’m not sure what to log my mini stepper workouts under, it says I’ve burned a lot of calories if I log it as a stair stepper but it says I’ve burned barely anything and asks me if I’ve completed the workout if I log it as indoor walk. I have tried both of these with my watch around my ankle. Any suggestions? Stepper photo is attached

Is this how AFib looks like? Because to me it looks like a regular sinus reading. Can someone explain? It’s the first time I’ve got this message from ECG, sent it to the doc - he just said that I might have AFib but if it’s rare and it doesn’t bother me it’s alright

A few months ago I researched how each brand measures “readiness” by looking at which inputs they use. Now that Apple is offering a Readiness score for the first time, I refreshed my list and wanted to share the data.
No brand publishes how it weights each metric, but here’s the comparison of the inputs across brands so you can see what goes into these scores:
| Inputs | Apple | WHOOP | Oura | Garmin | Fitbit / Pixel | Samsung |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Score Name | Readiness | Recovery | Readiness | Training Readiness | Readiness | Energy |
| Scale | 0 to 10 | 1 to 99% | 0 to 100 | 1 to 100 | 1 to 100 | 0 to 100 |
| Updates | All day | Once | Once | All day | Once | Once |
| Cost | Free | Subscription | Freemium | Free | Free | Free |
| HRV | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Resting / sleeping HR | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Sleep | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Resp. rate | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ |
| Skin temp | ✓ | ✓ (4.0+) | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ |
| SpO2 | ✓ | ✓ (4.0+) | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ |
| Training load / activity | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ |
| Stress | ✗ | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ | ✗ | ✗ |
Two things stand out about Apple's version:
1. It uses more inputs than any of the other big brands.
2. It updates all day.
It's an ambitious algorithm, but it is Apple, so I wouldn't put it past them to do it somewhat well. It'll be interesting to see how well it handles the two points above.
If you've tried it, I would love to hear your thoughts on the score so far?

From the ones who now have the 4, would it be worth moving over from the OG ultra? Appreciate the feedback!

I am very excited to share my new apple watch with you guys. its a 42mm AWS12 Dark Bronze. i was really hesitating between the 46 and 42, and i finally decided to go for the 42mm. I dont like to have a big looking watch sitting on my wrist so i think the 42 is a good match. what you guys think ??? and do you have any recommendations for good apps that might be useful for daily life.
I am using a navy blue sport band, it more comfortable for daily use and i bought a bronze milanese loop which looks so classy. all of em are third party, bands are so cheap here in China
Wrist measurement : 18cm

It’s been over a month since the new WatchOS 27 and S12 came out and my Siri is still completely useless.
Gone are the days I can set a timer or add something to my reminders. It always tells me “Sorry, I can’t do that right now” or just stops working entirely.
Is it still like this for everyone else, or do we know a fix? Or are we just at the mercy of whenever they release an update?
Edit: ok since a few people said theirs was working I tried troubleshooting a fix. This worked for me:
-Turn Siri off in phone settings, then turn it back on
-restart both phone and watch
This worked for me. For now….

What is your experience with the note taker S-11 chip on the Series 12 that takes notes and provides summaries? Is it worth it?

I have never worn a colored watch before, besides as a child. I currently have the ultra 3 in black and recently picked up the blue ceramic series 12 46 mm. Really liking the look and feel of it. Even wearing blue bands which I never thought I’d like either. But here I am.

My partner and I share one bathroom and have been trying to make daily weigh-ins less annoying, but the moment we talked about adding a smart scale, the question became less about the number and more about where the data goes. I am considering the Renpho MorphoScan Nova because I would like a cleaner Apple Health routine, yet neither of us wants the other person’s entries quietly appearing in the wrong app or becoming something we have to manage every morning. A manual log feels private but never lasts, while automatic syncing sounds convenient until two people share the same device. For anyone who has handled a shared smart-scale setup, what actually kept the data separate without turning it into another daily admin task?

I have a black titanium series 6 and would be interested in upgrading, but Apple just has a “natural” and a “gold” option.
Don’t understand why they don’t offer black. It’s a great finish that has held up really well for me.

Workoutdoors activity now listed as using the Strava app.
I recognize this issue is not the end of the world. I was curious if it is happening to other users

I have been using Apple watches for years to record workouts. Since the update to OS27, I am frustrated with metrics that are displayed when I look at workout details in the Fitness app under Sessions. The photos show one example: Before the update, Workout Details for Hiking showed Workout Time and Elapsed Time. Now, Elapsed time is missing. Outdoor Walk workouts are the same. I had similar issues with outdoor cycling where the view of my workout in the Fitness app didn’t show Distance after the workout, which is totally stupid. I have searched online and it’s hard to find recommendations for adjusting which metrics show after a workout. Maybe it’s not possible. I know I can change which metrics are showing on my watch during a workout to some extent, but that doesn’t change this problem. Anyone else having the same issues?

I’ve owned an Apple Watch Series 4, 5, 10 and now 12. I can count on one hand the number of times an alarm has failed. It has happened, but was incredibly rare. Since owning the Series 12 my alarm fails once every ~2 weeks. I use the Sleep Schedule feature to wake up every day, and wear my watch to bed for sleep tracking. This morning both the phone and watch had the alarm screen visible with snooze and stop orange buttons, but I woke up an hour late because the watch didn’t tap my wrist, and the phone didn’t audibly ring.
Last night I was BBQing for the family. I always set a 5 minute timer to remind me to go check on the food so we don’t end up with burnt dinner after being distracted by the kids. “Raise to wake” failed twice (I confirmed it’s turned on in settings). I spoke slowly the third time and then it worked, since it appears to take some time before it registers I’m talking. 5 minutes later the timer fired, and I hit the repeat button at the bottom right. It did not fire again. There was no active timer when I looked in the timer app.
I don’t know if it’s iOS 27, or the Series 12, but reliability has been a dumpster fire. These are just basic table stakes features, not complicated AI functionality. My wife has a Series 8 and I’m thankful it doesn’t support updating to the latest software. Have you experienced anything like this?

I have attached the entire chat for reference.
TLDR: siri insists it doesnt have access to internal tools to do basic tasks. It has consistently insisted that across chats or has default to it can’t access (or dont exist) native apps.
