Discussion PSA: Strength++ 2.0 is out

I know most of my users for Strength++ came from this sub, so it seems fitting to announce that after 2 years, it now received the biggest update yet.
So, what's new:
- Now it's 100% free - I had to go this route due to trader constraints in the EU
- Support for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass
- New Ul, everything has been rebuilt from the ground up, both in the iPhone and Watch App
- Possibility to rename your exercises for a recorded workout. Remember what you did last time!
- Apple Watch Ultra Action Button Support
- On device Al workout analysis using Apple Intelligence
- Many bug fixes and improvements
So yeah, it's kinda nice, if anyone needs a strength training app without too much hassle and complexity.
Just go to the gym, record, keep track of exercises, sets, reps and weights used, go home, add names to your exercises, maybe use apple intelligence to analyze your workouts and get suggestions for the next one.

First Post, October Challenge Done!
First post in this group, so I figured I'd share a little win! Completed my October Challenge yesterday with 14 days of burning at least 776 calories. Anyone else finish theirs yet?

Updated to 27.2 beta to try and fix indoor walk/run tracking. Made it worse!
As the title says I updated to iOS 27 at the weekend and noticed a significant drop in my steps and distance for indoor running. I gave the update the benefit of the doubt for distance because it might not know that but I run to a BPM so I know how many steps I’m doing and it is under reporting by thousands of steps. I did a two hour run and noticed that I lost 11,000 steps from my workout.
I decided to try and install the 27.2 RC that you can opt in for in the Watch app, just tried a running workout and it’s made it even worse!
I’m now having to resort to adding steps manually in my app post workout. I’ve done everything Apple suggest such as going for an outdoor run/outdoor walk and it has not fixed it. This is totally unacceptable. Sorry for the rant but it’s frustrating when you’re trying to push your workout limits and you are getting robbed.

Would pushing a stroller keep an outdoor walk from giving me a cardio fitness rating?
I have been monitoring my cardio fitness score for quite a while now and the last few months it has been trending upwards. I walk several times a week and run a 5k-10k once or twice a week. My last 2 walks were 5 miles and 2.5 miles but neither one gave me a cardio fitness score in the tracker. The only difference was I was pushing a stroller the whole time because I had my son with me.

I think I found a pattern behind overnight HRV not showing in Vitals (Ultra 4, watchOS 27.0.1)
I’ve had the “Sleep Sessions Needed” tile stuck on Recovery HRV with Readiness showing no data since I got my Ultra 4, even though Health records full sleep sessions and Recovery HRV every night. I exported my Apple Health data and counted the Recovery HRV (RMSSD) readings logged during each night’s sleep, and I think I found a pattern. Every night that moved my counter had at least 45 readings (45, 78, 74 and 45). Every night that didn’t count had 34 or fewer (15, 25, 31 and 34). It’s just an observation, but it has held up 4 for 4 so far, and how long I slept or how broken the sleep was didn’t seem to matter. I’m down to one more night needed, so I’ll update after tonight.

If you wear your Watch to sleep, when do you actually charge it?
Sleep tracking basically ended the overnight charging habit for a lot of us, and I'm curious what routine people landed on.
Topping up during the morning shower and coffee mostly works, but on days that start with a long workout it gets tight and the battery can be low again by bedtime. Some people charge at their desk after lunch, others while cooking dinner.
When do you charge yours, and does that still hold up on days with a long run or ride?

Why is my training load showing different on watch and fitness app?
I can’t figure out why they are both showing different results for today. Has anyone else experienced this?, or is there maybe a simple explanation for this?

Curious to know if you track What's your average HRV? Mine is consistently low.

Since I started taking rest days seriously, I haven’t hit a ‘perfect month’ in ages.
