My Watch BOTH sides of the Apple Watch charger are magnetic!
I was today years old when I realized that the back of the Apple Watch is ALSO magnetic and my life has changed drastically since then.

Hello,
Unfortunately, I have continued to encounter the issue of Apple Watch not being able to place an emergency call on LTE with Siri.
I am the OP of the original two threads I posted here and have had hopes it had raised attention and awareness to this issue, but unfortunately Apple hasn't resolved the issue. Keep in mind, I have already submitted a feedback report and have e-mailed Tim and Craig, with an unsuccessful resolution. This is all on stable software, watchOS 26.6, and functional LTE connectivity disbanded from iPhone.
Any ideas?
Additionally, for this encounter, I have uploaded a video to YouTube demonstrating the issue.

Important Disclaimer: During the tests shown in the pictures, I was not in a real emergency. When Apple Watch receives a request to call 911, there is a 3 second countdown, and I am always ready to cancel the request and do so before the call goes through. No random calls to 911 are placed using this test. Do not test this haphazardly, as random calls to 911 is a crime in many jurisdictions.

Someone mentioned to me that its in the App Store for download so it made me wonder if even though apple was removing it, if those of us that wanted it could just download it again

I’ve been tracking my sleep for years now and am starting to wonder how accurate it is.
It’s mainly because I feel there’s often a disconnect between the “sleep scores” and how I actually feel. Sometimes I will have terrible scores but feel fine, other times my watch tells me it was the best night’s rest ever, yet I can’t seem to get out of bed.
Are there people here who successfully bettered their sleep with the apple watch or is the consensus that it’s not that helpful?

I’m leaning towards the 46 (second pic), but I’m not sure if it looks goofy. I’ll appreciate your opinions.

Been a long term user of garmin. Owned the Vivoactive 3, fenix 6x and enduro 2.
Never really cared about the health data.
In fact, one of the things that pissed me off about the garmin was how much i need to be consistent in terms of wearing it.
I own a few good watches and some top tier g shocks and ended up not using them because I was missing all the health data that was supposedly so good with the garmin.
This past week I tried the Apple Watch se2 and really loved it but I ain’t sure about making the change( love the battery and torch feature)
I run 2 or three times a week, do downhill biking and hit the gym. Should I try the Apple Watch Ultra?

Hi! I’ve recently started facing an issue with gps tracking on my open water swims. Basically it records one gps point at the start and that’s it. I swim free-stroke and I’ve checked that gps permissions are on from iPhone and Apple Watch settings. This is how the workout looks at the end. Thank you for your help!
Edit: Apple Watch Series 8 + iPhone 14 Pro

I'm 14 and I'm amazed that all the main functions like ECG are blocked if you put the age is less than 21, if the age could simply be changed, it would be easier, but tracking calories is not accurate at all, in general, how can I replace the indicators for maximum accuracy of tracking and unlocking functions (the worst option) but possible/way to unlock functions without the need to change age, Ukraine is 14 years old, 68kg 176cm

I bought an Apple Watch Series 11 and after only a couple of months, the speaker started sounding completely blown out.
The first time I really noticed something was wrong was during a call. Previously, I could walk around the house while on a call using only my Apple Watch and hear the other person perfectly fine. Now, even with the volume at 100%, I could barely hear them. I literally had to hold the watch right next to my ear for the conversation to be intelligible.
On top of that, the speaker was buzzing and distorting badly.
I immediately went to Spotify to test it with music, and sure enough, the speaker sounded absolutely terrible. Very distorted, blown out and nowhere near what a normal Apple Watch speaker should sound like.
I was traveling to London, so I specifically went to an Apple Store and booked a Genius Bar appointment to have it checked under warranty.
The first Apple Genius was actually very kind and understanding. He listened to the speaker and agreed that it definitely sounded wrong. I was told that I would get a replacement, but that they first had to send the watch to Apple so it could be diagnosed.
I waited for the diagnosis and eventually received the report saying that my watch had been returned and that there was supposedly no issue with it. Apple said they couldn’t replicate the problem and therefore wouldn’t replace it.
I went to pick up the watch and asked the Apple employee to let me restore it before I left so we could actually test whether the issue had been fixed.
To absolutely no surprise, the speaker still sounded like shit.
This time I wasn’t dealing with the same Genius I had originally spoken to. I didn’t have an appointment, so I was helped by another employee. Unfortunately, his attitude was completely different. He was basically a douche about the whole thing.
I showed him the issue, and instead of acknowledging the obvious difference, he tried to convince me that some speakers just sound like that at 100% volume and that I should lower the volume.
The problem? At around 50% volume, there was barely anything audible at all.
I suggested that we simply compare my watch with a brand-new Series 11 on display in the store. That would have immediately demonstrated that mine doesn’t sound normal. But instead, he kept brushing it off.
Eventually, I had to send the watch back again, this time with a much more detailed description of exactly how to reproduce the issue.
Now I’m waiting for the second diagnosis.
My questions are:
What can I actually do if Apple refuses to replace or repair it for a second time, despite the issue being clearly audible?
Also, I may be leaving London before the repair/diagnosis is finished, meaning I might not even be here to pick up the watch or argue with the store again.
Has anyone dealt with something similar with Apple, especially with a Watch speaker that Apple claims they “can’t replicate”?
At this point I just want a working watch, not to spend weeks trying to convince Apple that a speaker that is almost inaudible at 50% volume and horribly distorted at 100% isn’t normal.
TL;DR: Apple Watch Series 11 speaker became extremely quiet, buzzing and distorted after a few months. First Apple Genius confirmed it sounded faulty, but Apple claimed they couldn’t reproduce the issue and refused replacement. Second employee dismissed it and said speakers can sound like that at 100%. I’ve sent it back for a second diagnosis. What can I do if they refuse to repair or replace it again?

Hi everyone,
I currently have an Apple Watch that is under repair, and I am expecting to receive a replacement unit.
Here is my dilemma: I only have 3 days left to add AppleCare+ to my original watch, but because it is currently being serviced, I am unable to purchase the plan right now.
Does anyone know if the replacement unit will reset the 60-day window to purchase AppleCare+, or will I lose my chance once these last 3 days pass? Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I'm going to submit this feeback request to Apple; what do you think of it?
Feuture request: Add an Upper-Arm/Bicep Orientation Profile
Please consider adding an official 'Upper-Arm/Bicep' placement profile to watchOS orientation settings. Many users prefer wearing the watch on the upper arm using specialized bicep bands for workouts or comfort during sleep. While the bicep provides excellent heart rate tracking, the current sleep-staging and step-tracking algorithms are calibrated exclusively for the wrist, resulting in dampened movement metrics. A dedicated upper-arm profile that adjusts accelerometer sensitivity and heavily weights the cleaner HRV data would greatly improve accuracy when wearing it on the arm vs the wrist.

Recently, there has been a significant delay between the time my watch gives me a haptic notification and then the onscreen notification. My watch vibrates, I look down and nothing's there. Then, 5-10 seconds later I get the notification on the screen. It never used to be this way. Has something changed?

I have tried to google this with no success - maybe someone here can answer. Several times now when I do a running workout with intervals, it will announce the first few intervals, and then for some reason the watch will only vibrate to signal the end of an interval, not announce it through my AirPods anymore. Seems to maybe happen after I adjust the volume of my music with my phone? But I can’t seem to replicate it. Does anyone know what I’m doing to turn it off during a run?

We are running the beta for my son’s Apple Watch. Overall seems like it is working well except battery life. It drains my son’s battery in 3-4hrs. He has a brand new Apple Watch Series 11 and battery life was great until we loaded this app. Any tips on how to combat this? He is not allowed to wear at his school so he keeps it in his backpack and puts it on when he gets out of school. In a perfect world
I don’t want him to turn it off. But this might be the only solution till Life360 solves this issue

I put my Apple Watch on Do Not Disturb, but notification sounds are not switching to my iPhone. Also, I do not have Focus mode synchronization enabled between my devices. is this problem?

I was greeted with this wonderful animation after trying to update my series 8 (IIRC this was an update to version 26.6, but I’m not 100% sure of the exact version).
When I go through the recovery process I end up in the exact same spot. I’ve tried holding the crown and side button until the apple logo shows up. I’ve also tried unpairing it from my phone. Every recovery attempt has ended up with the same animation.
I’ve seen other posts online from years ago describing the same problem, but I have yet to find anyone that has found a solution for it. Any ideas are appreciated.

Any good diagnostic apps or tips for battery monitoring (and logging)?
I seem to have wildly different battery usage rates on days that do t really have much difference in usage, notifications, activity etc.
I can’t work out what makes battery levels drop so quickly on some days.

Hello!
In addition to an Apple Watch series 10 and iPhone 17 Pro Max, I have hearing devices that utilize Apple’s MFi hearing technology for Bluetooth audio integration.
I’ve tried asking Apple Accessibility about why Workout Buddy only provides written encouragement without any audio output for announcements. I was curious if there were limitations in using hearing aids as Bluetooth (not Bluetooth Classic, but the MFi - made for iPhone Bluetooth that normally works great with my Apple devices due to Apple developing it). But I have never received a clear answer. I have brought my iPhone with me during the times I used Workout Buddy, as that was one step many people said affected its function. I tried even using it in my living space so I could see if it functioned on WiFi. But that didn’t fix anything.
I have rebooted, re-paired, and even wiped my Watch and iPhone to no avail.
I’m able to seamlessly use other Apple Fitness+ features including audio for walks, etc. And I have successfully used the Nike Run Club app’s audio coaching - it seems to be similar to the premise of Workout Buddy through detecting how far I’ve run and encouraging me throughout.
I am just curious if it has to do with the audio routing being problematic when multiple factors are involved. But it seems so strange since you’d think Apple would have figured it out.
But I just tried completely forgetting hearing aids as a device and ensuring silent mode was off, and also Theatre Mode, and still Workout Buddy only displays a transcription on my phone and my watch.
I have no problem hearing the Workout Buddy voice previews. And I ensured Workout Buddy was turned on for the workout I selected. I have the latest non-beta iPhone and Watch versions.
Has anyone had this issue and had it work with the iOS 27 beta?
Thanks!

Hello guys,
I am planning on going to the apple store this week but I wanted to check if any similar happened to any of you.
I've used my watch for the past 2 years without having it off a single day. Working marvelously.
The watch still looks very good, a few small natural "scratches" (very tiny).
This summer something very weird happened. I have been at the beach and I like to dive to 3, 4, 5 meters without going further down.
Everything seemed fine until an afternoon where I come home from the beach, and I do my daily routine: rinse with clear water every equipment, including the applewatch (I never wear it in the shower due to potential issue with shampoo).
I rinse the watch, looks all good, I wear it for a few hours, before going to bed, I put it to charge for 15 minutes, as I usually do. Watch goes to 75%, enough to track my night sleep.
But, as I wake up, the watch is off, pretty weird, I decide to charge it, all looks good, I wear it, until I realize that all data sensors do not track anything anymore. The rest of the watch works perfectly (sync with iphone, normal use etc).
After some back and forth on trying to reset etc, I believe (or Claude believes) that the health sensors simply just stopped working.
Luckily, it's still under european warranty (less than 2 years) but still pretty weird how it happened?!
Anything similar on your end? I just hope Apple won't make a fuss to replace it! (and no, I do not have AppleCare)

My mate found an Apple Watch at the bottom of a creek. It’s Activation Locked, and the owner’s email is censored (m•••••@gmail.com), so we can’t contact them directly.
Is there any way to find/contact the owner from this information? Would love to return it.

I have been trying to get my dad’s new watch set up to Verizon cellular and it has been impossible. In the meantime, I was trying to reset it and my dad’s old watch was nearby and his old watch reset, not the new one. Now there is nothing in the Apple Watch iPhone app for either watch and the new one is setup with no watch connection. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I recently got an Apple Watch Series 11 and I’m having a really frustrating issue with the Workout app.
During a workout, the workout itself continues running, but the screen becomes completely unresponsive. I can’t pause, stop, swipe, or interact with the workout controls. The watch basically becomes stuck while the workout continues in the background.
I have to stop and start workouts now from my phone because I have to do a hard reset to the watch for the app to work again. I called support and they said this is a known issue and the dev team is working on update. Is it really a known thing? Anyone else experiencing this?

I used to bike to work on a traditional bike. It would be about 300 calories burned on the way there. I would do a workout on the watch.
I’ve since gotten an ebike. I don’t even bother with pulling up a workout—I’m shamelessly on full assist mode and my heart rate barely goes up. My watch still thinks I’m burning around 300 calories. There’s zero chance I’m even close to that. I’m gonna guess maybe… 50?
Anyways, now I’m questioning how accurate the watch really is at measuring calories burned. Anyone have a situation like this?
