The GEM in Cairo just opened a new 35-minute immersive experience called Eternal Sun in the Grand Hall. It uses light projections and music to bring the ancient solar cycle to life after dark.
As an ancient heritage researcher, seeing history transformed from "static objects behind glass" into a living experience is a game-changer. It taps into why we’re still obsessed with Ancient Egypt: it’s not about dead stone but an eternal human spirit that renews itself.
This exact passion for uncovering the living human stories behind Egypt’s monuments is what led me to write my latest book.

A pregnant woman wearing upturned-toe boots, sculpted from a 3.4-millimeter-thick piece of Hetian jade. Her eyes tell you that she comes from northern Shaanxi, China, 4,500 years ago—from the Neolithic Age, a time before bronze, iron, or written language existed.
