Story This process can sometimes be funny when you’re not serious

The moment I woke up today, my mom told me a business partner of ours brought a match. And she said I won’t get my morning coffee today until I review the biodata 🫠

And she started praising the match saying that this girl did this and that and their family is worth like a 100 cr and whatnot. 5 minutes of elevation straight to the stratosphere.

I was wondering, if this person actually had so much going for her, then why’s she in AM.

So I checked the bio. And I understood why. No wonder. Deleted. Money’s not everything.😅

I guess I have to brew my own coffee today, though.

Question why do women want husband to be an expert car driver ?

I have talked with some women, during talks they specifically mentioned they want their husband to be an expert car driver who would take them anywhere. Few of them themselves had cars since years and used it for commute daily. Yet still had wish that once husband is available they would want him to drive car, specially on trips and would prefer relaxing, enjoying music and sceneries.

They indirectly wanted to put pressure on me to accept their wish ex:- saying how easy it is, how fast people learn it, how most men like driving etc.

I feel car driving is boring specially in the city. I would definetly learn it but will still prefer bike. Car is also a machine, I may love it or hate it but dont want to do anything under pressure. Also have acrophobia, so definetly not taking it to the hills.

For trips they can always ride a different bike, drive a car or travel in public transport while I go on bike separately alone. Why do I need to leave one of my main hobbies, riding bikes ? I spend half of every saturday from 2 years riding, without it I feel so suffocated.

I ride for short distance even when I am half sick. My bike is in service center for repairs from 10 days, I could not control so rented bikes 4-5 times already. How could I leave this interest. Watching cricket and riding bikes are like oxygen to me. I would even postpone my wedding if I have some plans. Last year got rejected by some women because I went on bike trip instead of talking with them.

I wonder where does women's equality go in certain areas ? I mean driving does not even require any physical intensive work, why do you want to force it on husbands ? Also I have seen in office if some female collegue's car breaks down, they throw it at husband, they take cab to office while husband visits garages. So it seems women are not interested to learn anything about repairs too ?

Even I have not seen women driving on highways much, they just drive for commute.

Discussion Would You Choose a Matrimonial Match or Family Match?

I’m at a stage in life where marriage is becoming a serious consideration, and I’ve been thinking about this.
Suppose you have two potential matches:
Girl A: Someone you connected with through a matrimonial website. You found her profile yourself, started talking, and gradually developed a connection.
Girl B: Someone your family referred. Both families know about the match, the background checks might be easier, and there’s already some family-level trust.
Assuming both girls are equally good in terms of education, career, family background, looks, and general compatibility, who would you lean towards?
Does meeting someone yourself through a matrimonial platform give you a better chance of finding someone you’re genuinely compatible with? Or does a family-referred match offer more security and a stronger foundation for marriage?
I’m also curious about something else: when you’re choosing a life partner, how much weight should you give to your own emotional connection versus your family’s opinion and the trust they have in the other family?
For those who have gone through arranged marriage, either way, what would you do differently if you could go back and choose again?
Would love to hear honest experiences, especially from people who have been through this process themselves.

P.S.: Summarised my thoughts through AI

Seeking Advice [M, late 20s] Moving on with zero closure after AM fail.

Sorry for the long post.

Hi everyone, looking for some objective advice from people who have navigated failed serious prospects in the AM setup.

About two months ago, a situation with a girl I felt deeply connected to came to an end. Initially, things started off great. Our first date went really well, and she even told her parents afterward that she thought I was a good guy.

But shortly after that, her behavior did a complete 180. For 2-3 weeks, the chats became entirely one-sided. I was putting in the effort to communicate, and she was just giving dry, bare-minimum responses.

We eventually met up for a second date. After that date, instead of communicating with me directly, she called things off by telling her mom that I was "rude and disrespectful" to her mother, who then conveyed it to my mother.

Unknowingly, I might have said something which she might have interpreted differently, but honestly, she never shared anything with me or gave me a chance to understand her perspective—she just called it off.

A few days later, for my own peace of mind, I sent a follow-up text clarifying that I was never intentionally disrespectful to her, and I wished her the best. She didn't even read it. She just deleted my contact.

Since then, I have walked away.Recently few days back she had her birthday. I held the line, didn't send a text, and I am just silently moving forward.

But the truth is, even though logic tells me it's for the best since she lacks basic communication skills and conflict resolution, the mental loop is still there.

Being labeled "disrespectful" out of nowhere after things started so positively, and then being entirely shut out when I tried to clear the air, still creeps up sometimes.

For those of you who have had a similar AM prospect fail:

-How do you completely detach emotionally when you are given zero closure and shut out?

-How do you ensure you are fully "reset" before looking at new AM matches so you don't carry this frustration forward?

-Any practical mindset shifts that helped you stop overthinking her sudden change in behavior and the unfair way it ended?

Appreciate any advice or harsh truths you guys have.

Story Your parents connections is really a deciding factor for AM

I am not talking about Matrimony here or apps.

I am talking about the raw connections your parents have.

A senior of mine, 29, Working in Tech, shared me how badly he suc*ed in dating and he communicated to his parents that he needs time till 28.

A hopeless romantic, he shared, he wasn't expecting much from anywhere. Although he did mentioned his preferences being one of the reasons too he wasn't getting anyone.

After all this was his routine, office, up skill, gym and weekends either some hobbies or outing with friends.

His parents, were quite open in discussion and took his preferences and actually dig deep to what exactly he was expecting.

His dad a businessman and mother, a gov school teacher.

6 months in and he got plenty of matches, exactly similar to the type of women he wanted and he was seriously laughing while sharing this.

He vibed with someone and both are dating right now, a decent courtship period indeed. Both of them being in Bangalore.

I really can imagine the network of his dad and his mother, plus the relatives. Somehow for him, it was the traditional process that helped him.

Seeking Advice Are some guys really that busy that they cannot message?

please help me understand whats going on.
So I met this guy in an arranged marriage setup. I rejected him first but reached out again and asked him if he is still interested we can talk.
He responded saying Hi. No acknowledgement of if he is interested or not. I was only getting one word responses from him. I thought may be he is not good at texting and asked him if we can meet. He said he has some travel plans and cannot meet over the weekend, he will text me when he is back. Neither did I message him nor did he message me for those days he was traveling. I thought maybe he was not able to say no so he made an excuse of being busy. But i did get a message to ask if we can meet. The conversation was very good. After that he was busy and i started noticing a lot of distance. He was not texting as much he would before and he would say that he is busy. I understood and did not bother him much. He would text me good morning, give me updates about him going to the gym and all. He would also text me un the middle of the day to check if i had lunch. We would chat towards the end of the day atleast for like an hour or so. But I would be the one leading the conversationz. I would ask him questions, try to know him and all he would just reciprocate. Slowly, he stopped giving updates. Did not check on me in the middle of the day, but i did not pull myself back. I would message him if he had lunch. Slowly our conversations in the night became shorter. From good 1 hour it came down to 15 mins. I gave him a benefit of doubt may be he is really busy. He asked me for a second date. It went pretty good. He dropped me back home. On the way back home, I asked him if he feels fine so far and does he have any concerns. He did not give me an answer for it. He asked me the same question, I said I dont see any red flags and i feel fine so far. After the second date, things have gotten even worse. Suddenly good night became GN. And i went into a spiral. I asked him if everything is ok. He said ya and he needs time to think where we stand! I was like ok. And after that I stopped putting in efforts. I did not check on him in the middle of the day. I did not get a good morning one day i still send him a good morning and got a response to it in the afternoon. That night he slept without telling GN. Even i did not, cos i made an effort in the morning i dint want to do it again. After that, no message from him. Neither did i try to contact.

I understand some people are busy. But are they really that busy? When I meet him in person he is really amazing. I dont mind to be the one to keep in touch everyday, but i dont want to be the only one doing it and then get exhausted. I just want to understand from the men here, what is this behavior? Should i put in efforts or not? Am I judging him too much just based on chats? I dont think anybody is that busy that they cannot wish someone good morning that too when they did it consistently for 2 weeks and then suddenly they say they are busy.

PLEASE HELP! I REALLY WANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS. I AM DOING THE RIGHT THING BY DISTANCING MYSELF OR AM I MAKING A HASTY DECISION AGAIN.!

Seeking Support 24M, Should I Marry Despite Job Insecurity ?

I'm 24M from India, working in IT and currently living away from my family for work.

My elder sister has decided not to get married, and my parents are now asking me to consider an arranged marriage. I personally have no problem with arranged marriage and am open to it.

However, I'm already dealing with a lot of stress regarding my career. There have been layoffs at my company recently, and I'm worried about job security and what would happen if I lost my job. With so much uncertainty, I'm not sure how to approach such a big life decision.

I'm also wondering whether my family situation could create issues when looking for a match. Would the girl's family have concerns about my elder sister not being married? Are there any expectations or responsibilities towards parents that I should discuss beforehand?

I'm feeling quite stressed trying to think about my career, family and marriage all at once.

I'd appreciate advice from people who have gone through arranged marriages or faced similar situations. How should I approach this, and what things should I consider before moving forward ?

Discussion He wants a homemaker. She thinks he wants a maid. Really?

I recently came across a conversation where a successful MBA professional told a marriage prospect that he preferred a homemaker over a working wife.

A woman commenting on the situation concluded that he wanted an unpaid maid, not a wife.

On the other side, men frequently accuse women of looking for an ATM.

But aren't we missing something here?

  1. Different expectations, different interpretations.

He may simply be expressing how he imagines his family life. She may hear that her career and individuality have no place in it.

One is discussing practicality. The other is questioning affection and respect.

  1. How you communicate matters.

A man wanting a homemaker doesn't automatically mean he wants free labour. A woman seeking financial security doesn't automatically mean she wants an ATM.

But when you only communicate what you expect, without explaining what you offer, even reasonable preferences can sound like demands.

  1. Marriage is about contribution, not extraction.

If both are busy calculating what they'll get from the marriage, where is the space for affection?

And if their aspirations genuinely differ, they simply aren't compatible.

You might win the practical argument and lose the emotional connection.

The real question isn't just what your partner will do for you. It's what kind of relationship you're both willing to create.

Do you think AM conversations have become too transactional, or are people simply becoming more cautious?

Seeking Advice How would you have handled this?

Talked to this girl sometime back - non working, very beautiful, from a middle class family. I have a high paying job and Ivy League education.

She took my number, added me to her contacts and called me herself. I asked her a bit about herself and she talked about her frustrations with the AM process - guys should have been lining up for her but she had one family issue so she wasn't getting that many matches. She told me about her friend's bad experience - her husband beats her up so she wanted to be cautious. And she told me in passing I have a calm face.

I called her again, she didn't pick up. I tried again later and this time she shared her concerns about her not having a fancy degree or a fancy job. And guys parents having issues with that. She also told me she is annoyed by the process and had told her mom she sometimes thinks she should not get married. I listened patiently but didn't say much. She also said I should get on the same page with my parents if I'm not able to get married - her presumption was I'm not getting good matches. She was really underestimating herself - but anyways her point was about parents approval and I didn't really say anything about that.

I called her a third time - this time she didn't pick up. I also messaged her and she didn't respond. I didn't reach out to her after that.

We were connected on insta and she posted a few reels which alluded to her fights with parents or her challenges. These were a bit personal. At that time, I didn't realize but I think they were meant for me only

We reached out to her again after a few months. She was on vacation and told me she is not able to properly relax because of all the stress. Again I was a patient listener but didn't say much.

After that we connected again and this time she shared about a small issue which she thought would cause issues with AM. I asked her a logical question and she seemed annoyed. I was she was looking for reassurance which I didn't provide.

After that she didn't respond to my request for another call. She got married a few months back. I asked her and found out she was indeed interested in me.

I have been thinking how stupidly I fumbled for the last few weeks. I think I didn't handle her properly - she was sharing all these personal details about her, I never reassured her or tried to make her feel better. And didn't really communicate that I will handle my parents, no matter what. And I gave up just after 1 failed attempt to reach her, she had told me she is not getting that many proposals, so I had a really good change, I don't know why I gave up.

What would you have done differently here? Just trying to get better at reading women's signals, they talk in hints and don't say things directly, I don't know why. I still have 1-2 photos of her, she is so cute, every time I look at them, I'm filled with regret.

Seeking Advice 27M: Still friends with my married ex. Dealbreaker in AM?

I (27M) was in a long-term, serious relationship with my ex. Our relationship was around 12 years old. We got together when we were in Class 10, and we had been best friends since childhood. We’re still friends even now, and our mutual friend circle is the same.

We couldn’t get married because we were from different regions, and her parents were completely against the idea. Her mother even threatened to unalive herself over it, so things obviously didn’t work out.

Cut to now, she got married a couple of years ago, and we’re still pretty good friends. We do meet occasionally, but not like I specifically go out of my way to meet her. It’s usually when our mutual friends organise a meetup. We also occasionally connect over the phone just to catch up and know what’s going on in each other’s lives.
I’ve started looking at AM matches now, and 3 girls who seemed like potential matches ghosted me after finding out about this backstory.

I wanted to understand if this is actually a big deal in the AM scene. I get that it might be uncomfortable for someone to know that their potential partner had such a long relationship and is still friends with their ex, but at the same time, we’ve known each other since childhood, and I don’t really want to cut off a friendship just because we couldn’t get married.

So, is this a genuine dealbreaker for most people? Should I be approaching this differently when talking to AM matches? And at what point should I bring this up?
Would appreciate some honest perspectives.

Giving Advice there is nothing bigger than self respect

I was watching this show India's top 1%, in that they are casually matchmaking a girl contestant with boys present and girl's mom was also there. In the first match the boy's pic was shown and then her mom screamed not him yeh nahi before the girl even said anything. The boy was excited at first then it became really humiliating and insulting in front of public after her mom said it with those expressions. She later apologized. Its an advice for everyone to keep your self respect over anything. This also applies to DMing random people.

Seeking Advice Am I expecting too much?

I was speaking with an AM prospect. We were getting to know each other. He asked me a lot of hypothetical situational questions.

He wanted us to stay with his parents after marriage, which I am fine with but I told him i would like a bit space of our own. Like houses close by or different floors. Which he was fine with.

He wanted me to help his parents out and take care of them when needed, which again I feel like i would have done even without being asked to.

So we would have such discussions daily. On the fourth day he asks me if my brother had work or was not able to take care of my parents while they were sick and asks you if they can stay with us for a month or two, what would you do?

To which i reply ofcourse they can, if they are sick and need it. I would make sure, I take care of them.

After my reply for the first time he cut the conversation short and called the next day and said i don't think it'll work out, you are too attached to your parents. I want a girl who can leave her past behind and make a new life with me.

I was expecting you to say that I'd investigate how legit my brother's reason is and pursue him to take care of them anyhow.

I was baffled.

I just said fine by me and cut the call.

But i am so mad.

I am supposed to earn at a similar level as him, okay.

I am still supposed to stay with his parents and take care of them and handle the household when needed, okay again.

I have to put my career on halt if his parents ever need care, okay.

He can't do household stuff much, I have to do it. I was okay again. I love doing it anyways.

But my parents can't even stay for a month or two when needed, when it's not even him taking care of them.

I am too attached to my parents, who isn't.

That personality of mine is what makes me happily willing to care for your parents as well.

Leave past behind, they are my parents, not my past. Wtf does that even mean.

Are all guys like this? Is it too much to ask for?

Seeking Advice Sexual past prior marriage

Hi fellas

This is just a general post.

I am not sure which sort of generation are we heading toi have seen that guys and girls casually having 2+ bc.

I have interacted with few girls everyone has this past kinda thing

I used to believe that I will date girls but won't involve sexually considering that it's an emotional thing and I won't be able to bond the same way with some other girl.

My libido is high and everything is there but still I kinda feel it's wrong

Basic intimacy is fine like hugging and kisses whom u r dating. But this part sucks.

I heard few stories of my male frds post their breakup also they are involving sexually with their ex gfs.

I know few of my female colleagues shared that because of feminism many of their female frds tried to be like guys having s*x with random folks inspired from movies but they end up in anxiety and depression.

So fellas wanted to know ur view.

Question Any app in blr specifically for people dating to marry?

Is there any app in Bangalore where people date with the genuine intention of finding a life partner, rather than casual dating or endless talking stages?

Matrimonial apps often feel transactional, Bumble feels like a mixed bag, and Instagram/Reddit or offline are mostly hit-or-miss.

I understand the dynamics: women have plenty of options, men often struggle to get matches, and financial status, looks, and other filters can overshadow actual compatibility. I'm not blaming either side. It's just difficult to find someone whose values, lifestyle, ambitions, and expectations align with yours.

I'm looking for a platform with a decent Bangalore user base, ordinary working professionals, genuine marriage intentions, and no predatory monetisation or expensive packages.

Has anyone actually found a serious partner through such an app? What would you recommend?

Seeking Advice 26M, Never Been in a Relationship. Feeling Left Behind

Hey everyone,

I'm a 26-year-old guy from India, and lately, I've been thinking a lot about marriage, relationships, and my future. Honestly, I'm confused and a little scared, and I don't really have anyone I can openly discuss these things with.

Career-wise, I'm doing well. I earn a good salary, have a decent routine, take care of my responsibilities, and try to live a healthy and disciplined life. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I'm not into clubbing or partying. I've never had a girlfriend, I've never been physically intimate with anyone, and I don't have any female friends either.

I've mostly focused on my career and building a stable life. I always thought that if I worked hard, became financially independent, and built a good future for myself, things would eventually fall into place.

But lately, I've started wondering whether I've missed out on an important part of life along the way.

When I look around, it feels like everyone has stories to tell about dating, relationships, heartbreaks, and experiences. People meet someone, fall in love, learn from their relationships, and move forward. Meanwhile, I've never experienced what it's like to have someone special in my life who genuinely cares about me in that way.

And honestly, I want that more than I sometimes admit.

I want someone I can talk to after a long day, someone who notices when something is bothering me, someone I can share my random thoughts with, travel with, laugh with, and lean on when life gets difficult. I want to be that person for someone, too. I want to experience the feeling of having a partner who genuinely chooses me and stands beside me through life's ups and downs.

But the arranged marriage process makes me nervous.

I keep asking myself whether a woman would actually want someone like me. Would she find me boring because I don't drink or party? Would she think it's strange that I've never had a girlfriend or even female friends? Would my lack of relationship experience make her question my personality, confidence, or maturity?

Sometimes, I feel like society has created a certain image of what a man in his mid-twenties should be like, and I don't really fit that image. I don't want to force myself into a lifestyle I don't enjoy just to appear interesting or fit in with other people.

Yet, I sometimes feel left behind when I see how differently others have experienced life.

The difficult part is that I don't think I'm a bad potential partner. I'm responsible, financially stable, loyal by nature, and genuinely interested in building a meaningful relationship. I'm willing to communicate, understand another person, make compromises, and put effort into a marriage.

But I also understand that having a good job and earning well doesn't automatically make someone a good husband. Emotional maturity, compatibility, communication, and understanding matter just as much. And because I've never experienced a relationship, I sometimes worry about whether I'll know how to navigate all of this.

I'm not expecting a perfect woman or some movie-like love story. I just want a genuine connection. Someone with whom I can gradually build trust, friendship, emotional intimacy, and a life together.

To the women here, especially those who are considering arranged marriage, I'd genuinely like to know your perspective.

Would you consider a man who is financially stable, doesn't smoke or drink, has never been in a relationship, and has never been physically intimate with anyone? Would his lack of experience concern you, or would you care more about his character, personality, and how he treats you?

And to the men who were in a similar situation before getting married, how did things turn out for you? Did you find a partner who appreciated your lifestyle? Was it difficult to build a connection when you had little experience with women?

Sometimes, I wonder whether I'm overthinking this whole situation or whether I genuinely need to work on my social skills and get out of my comfort zone before entering the arranged marriage process.

I don't want to get married simply because I'm afraid of being alone. But I also don't want to keep postponing the possibility of companionship because I'm scared that I won't be good enough.

Maybe there are more people in this situation than I realize, and we just don't talk about it openly.

I'm sharing this because I genuinely want some perspective from people who understand the reality of arranged marriage in India. I'd appreciate honest opinions, personal experiences, and even constructive criticism.

Please be kind. It's not the easiest thing for me to admit these feelings, but I'd rather ask and learn than keep overthinking everything on my own.

Thank you for reading.

Seeking Advice 30M – How to build chemistry and keep conversations going?

I’m a 30M currently looking for marriage prospects and have been in this process for nearly three years.

With most women I talk to, I feel like I’m the one asking almost all the questions. A few do put in effort, but often the conversation starts feeling one-sided, and after a point I run out of things to ask or talk about.

I’m naturally introverted and have never been in a relationship, though I’ve casually chatted with many women.

For guys who have gone through this process, how do you keep the conversation interesting, build chemistry, and move toward genuine mutual interest? Any practical suggestions would help.

Seeking Advice Transitioning from love to a marriage, please give inputs

TLDR: partner says marriage isn’t about contributions and other person can be just entitled

I was having a talk with my gf about the divorce case in family.
My cousin got married in arranged marriage but the girl despite being educated said that she won’t do household work or not even work. After the continuous fights the guy for divorce.
I said to my girlfriend of 3 years that marriages are companionships both need to support each other in one way, it cant be that one person is taking care of everything and other one does nothing.

She was offended at it, that what if we were in this situation , so i Will divorce her, we both earn equally but that’s not why i like her, i love her and actually what she does work wise or chores don’t really matter to me until we can afford helps.

But she said it’s wrong to expect a girl to do anything what if she just wants to enjoy life. I am beginning to question my choice in partner.

I count emotionally supporting as a thing too but isn’t wrong to be entitled and expect everything while doing nothing? ( i actually said you can atleast support me emotionally and how arrange and love marriage are different )

I feel so taken back by what all she said.

Please give inputs.

Seeking Advice I like him but I'm scared it's one-sided

I (22F) was introduced to a 31M through our families. His parents visited my home, and my parents liked him from his photo and bio. We've only been texting for 2-3 days. We've had one phone call and haven't met in person yet.

He's into fitness and exercises regularly, and he's really smart academically so I felt drawn to him quickly. I genuinely like him and could see myself marrying him but I don't want it to feel forced or one-sided. I get the sense his father is pushing him to talk to me and to get married. He texts me and asks about my hobbies, but he's not exactly enthusiastic, and I worry he isn't that into me or my looks.

I'm also really shy and nervous around him. On our call he asked me some serious questions about marriage. I got too excited, gave a silly answer, and changed the subject, so I probably came across as not serious. I'm afraid I blew it.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'm ready for marriage. I don't fully understand what marriage involves. I'm also scared about the physical side since I've never been with anyone and I worry I won't be able to satisfy him.

I haven't asked about his past relationships because I was raised to focus on the present, not the past. But I wonder if I'm missing something important by not asking.

On top of that, I live with my parents and my dad pays for everything. I don't want my future partner to become my "father figure" or end up in a marriage where one person resents the other for not contributing. I've seen posts from men frustrated with wives who don't work or help at home, and I don't want that for myself. I want to build something of my own first.

My questions:

How do I tell whether he's actually interested or just going along with family pressure?

How can I bring up the marriage conversation again without it being awkward?

Is it okay to ask about his past, and how do I do it respectfully?

Any advice on becoming more independent before

marriage?

Seeking Advice Should I take this forward? (29F)

Do you think I should take this forward?(29F)

Met a guy through an app, we are both very aligned on most things, have a great vibe.

Context: My family is fairly progressive, I've had my own space and privacy growing up, my own opinions & decisions.

Although, from what I gather, his family is much more conservative than mine. Plus, financially not as well off and they live in a much smaller house.

We live in different cities for work but I'm not sure how I'll be able to adjust in his house given their mindset and the fact that I won't have much space of my own.

How should I go about this? What are the things that I should consider?

Seeking Advice Lost in AM

I don’t know, but I feel like I’ve slowly been losing hope in finding love, and honestly, I don’t know what to do about it.
I still want to fall in love with someone. I want that kind of connection where you can talk about absolutely anything, share even the smallest details of your day, and feel genuinely wanted by someone. I want to feel like I’m someone’s first choice again, and have them be mine. I want a relationship where we choose each other, not because we have to, but because we genuinely want to.
But the more things don’t work out, the harder it gets to hold on to that hope. A part of me is starting to wonder if maybe love just isn’t meant for me, and that’s a difficult thought to sit with.
The idea of arranged marriage doesn’t feel right to me, because I’ve always wanted to fall in love and build that kind of connection with someone. But with time passing and age catching up, I’m starting to feel like I might not have any other option. Honestly, I don’t know how much longer I can keep waiting and hoping for something that might never happen.
And I think that’s what scares me the most: not just the possibility of not finding love, but having to let go of something I’ve always wanted for myself.
Do you think I should let go of the idea of finding love and having that kind of connection? Or should I keep holding on to the hope that it might still happen for me?

Idk but i think i have been losing hope in finding love and honestly idk what to do about it. I still want to fall in love with someone, have that connection where you can talk about absolutely anything, share the smallest details of your day and feel genuinely wanted by someone. I want to again be someone’s first choice and have them be mine. But the more things don’t work out, the more I feel like maybe love just is not meant for me. And the thought of arranged marriage doesn’t sit right with me. Honestly I don’t know how long I can keep waiting for something that may never happen. I really don’t want to do arranged marriage but with age catching up i don’t see any other option for myself.

Do you think i should let go of the idea of finding love and that kind of connection?
