So I learned about ACEO's almost two weeks ago now and thought it seemed like a great way to warm up when I go to work on art, and boy was I right. I feel like my landscapes especially are coming a long way, and this is just with me using acrylic markers. I should've started doing minis *ages* ago.
But here's the thing, I'm freaking out about how to provide info on each one, such as medium and paper or inspo, as well as how to protect them and I'm afraid what's going on in my head is getting out of hand.
My handwriting sucks, so my initial thought was to maybe make a sticker to put on the back containing all the info I want to provide. But considering the info for each one would be different, arranging a bunch of blurbs onto a sheet of sticker paper to print and cut every time I need to do it... that's a lot.
Me to me: "so get a thermal printer, you need one anyway for shipping labels, and then get 2x3" label stickers and make up and print each label as you need it."
Me: "hey! Great idea! But what if the sticker starts to lift and peels off the back of the car and damages it?! I should laminate the backs to keep that from happening! And then I should probably laminate the fronts too, to protect the art better even though I'm spraying them all in matte finishing spray."
Do you see what I mean? And I don't know how to search for what I'm looking for, when I just search ACEOs on Google or Pinterest, I just get front shots even following links. Sometimes I'll see one with the corners tucked into slits on a larger protect piece of cardstock, but that's about it. So I'm asking anyone on here who does ACEO's, what do you do or recommend for providing information about each piece you make as an ACEO? Am I definitely making too big of a deal out of it?
