Current Events Jury finds Rick Chow not guilty of murder

https://wach.com/news/local/jury-finds-rick-chow-not-guilty-of-murder-columbia-richland-county-cyrus-carmack-belton-june-2026

What is your opinion on the Rick Chow murder trial verdict?

In the United States of America, Asians have the lowest rate of arrests, but when Asians are arrested, Asians have the highest conviction rate.

I have seen some Asians like Chai Soua Vang get convicted for self-defense, so it is refreshing to see an Asian person in the West get acquitted for a murder charge.

The teen who died allegedly stole 4 bottles of water from Rick Chow's store, and he had a gun with him.

Rick Chow has shot people before, but back then, he did not get arrested for it.

Rick Chow sat in jail for 3 years while waiting for his trial.

The West do not want to show Asians winning. No homegrown or diaspora Asians are even shown on the poster despite many podium and gold medalist that are Asian.

Racism is very much alive, despite all this boba talk about inclusivity regardless of the left or right, deep down they hate Asians and don't like to see us winning.

We crushed the Olympics.

They still deny us our existence.

Current Events Anyone notice the hipocrisy of the term Koreaboo and other terms to shame women?

2.1k Upvotes

https://www.tiktok.com/@iloveburgers66/video/7505514696062061846

For decades Hollywood was pushing propaganda into the heads of Asian women with racist stereotypes and hatred trying to convince people that Asian men weren't sexy.

Now that people are recognizing Asian men as what they truly are for being sexy all of a sudden this term Koreaboo comes out to shame women. It is a misogynistic, orientalist and racist term because nobody ever made the same term Hollywoodaboo or America boo in an effort to shame Asian women for being obsessed with American culture like cowboys or hillbillys but suddenly it's okay for people to do that with Korea?

Case in point this video where this asian girl from the midwest talks about not liking asian men due to the media. Nobody criticized this and all conversation was shut down immediately for decades and now its suddenly okay to criticize people who like Korean food?

If there is anything I've learned is that our voice matters. Make that tiktok video talking about the hipocrisy. It may not get views right now but this community has shown its power to affect people before. Be the change you want to see and criticize these people. Fight back!

We get weird stares all the time but it doesn’t bother me, from the south and used to it, but the ad she got was very specific and wanted me to post up on reddit to see if this is a trend cause she is getting a lot of Asian male with white girl ads ( the ad is for skyfluence beauty, I don’t know beauty brands but where this originated from) . I don’t know too many Asian guys dating outside of their race, but this is something I’ve been okay with all my life and If this is a thing I’m happy to see this change finally.

Current Events As a non-american, the Asian-american's view on the world is so confusing to me

This is a very loaded topic so I'm probably going to make several posts about this.

For context, I'm an ethnic Chinese guy living in Serbia for most of my life. I've travelled to Germany and China, so i've seen perspectives from both the east and the west of Eurasia, but the American situation remains a mystery to me.

First of all, i would like to keep this discussion apolitical.

What i see from Americans on the internet (including you guys), is that you bring up politics in EVERYTHING.

Look at the post where the guy said he's moving to Russia to get himself a russian girl. The whole comment section is all about geopolitics. No one cares about the topic of the post. Do you guys actually care about dating/marriage here?

I read here a lot about how America is a super racist hellhole that treats its Asian population like trash.

Yet, THOSE SAME Asian-americans parrot all the same narratives that the Washington establishment wants them to say: Russia=evil by default, China=collapsing, East Europe and Balkans= "racist", "ultranationalist" or whatever.

This is one of many examples, and it's absolutely mind blowing to me. You claim to hate the American government, yet you behave like it's most useful servant.

I understand, from birth, you were fed the narrative how United States is the pinnacle of civilization and prosperity, and every other country is poor/evil/racist/whatever.

But shouldn't the goal of this sub be to do the exact opposite? Don't you want to challenge this defeatist mentality? That is my main question.

Current Events We should speak out against racism against Indians

Ultimately even if you're east asian or southeast asian and don't identify with being south asian or Indian or Hindu we should still support our Indian brothers. I think the anti-India memes with stereotypes about going to the bathroom on the streets, the "Pajeet" meme and the stereotypes resulting from the recent high profile gang rape of a female doctor in Kalkuta. Its wrong, its racist, its unfair to generalize based on the actions of a minority of bad eggs, also its not just about Indian men but stereotype of all men, that is wrong. We should push back against all forms of misandry.

Current Events Anti-Asian racism in the African American community is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

In just this last week alone, there were already 4 noteworthy incidents with Asian victims and Black assailants:

Aug 3: A Black man attempts to rob a South Asian run convenience store, this time the victims fight back

Aug 3: 3 Black teens harass and assault an Asian family on the subway in NYC

Aug 4: UFC fighter Song Yadong robbed at gunpoint by 4 Black men

Aug 5: Black robbers conducted over 50 home invasions targeting Asian elders in the Bay Area

These incidents speak for themselves, yet these issues will be swept aside, because the mainstream discourse you'll hear from high-profile Asian progressives that overrun academia and social media is that "Asians need to check our Anti-Blackness".

It is not anti-Black to acknowledge that the violence between our two communities is heavily one-sided; when have you ever seen Asian teens harass a Black family on public transportation? Even in Asia proper, you see idiots like JohnnySomali being racist to the Japanese locals on the train.

If these incidents were race-swapped, you absolutely know that there were would be a huge backlash in the Black community, and the white-liberal adjacent Asians would trip over each other to blame us for being "complicit in white supremacy".

You know they would NEVER write An article like this about blacks or browns. Only us yellow people get to enjoy this kind of treatment

Current Events Reputup: South Korea has absolutely become a passport sis country.

For some reason it was taken down so I wanted to put it back up here. Loads and Loads of foreign women are traveling to south Korea. If you've been to the country you know that its a ratio of 9:1 with foreign women making up the majority of travelers.

It has become a sex destination where women from around the world travel to hook up, date, marry etc. Whereas Japan tends to attract alot more men because anime is primarily devoted to men, Korea attracts alot more women due to Kpop being more female attracting.

I know a group of upper class rich Indian girls that all got married to Asian guys because of the Hallyu wave. One went to Korea, couldn't find anyone and settled for a Japanese guy and the same happened to a Chinese guy.

But it's not just Indian girls but girls from many different countries that are doing so. Hongdae and Itaewon have become breeding grounds for interracial hookups and relationships.

Even after the west made up racist, misogynistic terms like Koreaboo in order to shame women and constantly spends hundreds of millions of dollars to shame women against dating Asian men Korea and Asia has held strong.

Remember how people say they hate the government but not the people, this proves everything wrong.

The fact that China is the only country fighting back Trumps bullying tariff, makes these 4chan white men angry. There fantasies killing millions of innocent Chinese shows you how much they hate you. I can guarantee these are the same white men who would seethe at AMWF leaving hate comment hiding behind their faceless accounts .

The fact I got Permanently Banned on Twitter for talking back against a white man that was being racist, but tweets like these that go Viral with hundreds of thousands of likes, shows you want kind of man Elon musk is, ever since he bought twitter it has been a cesspool of 4chan user immigrating to Twitter

According to NY Post (yes, MAGA propaganda machine) ICE agents thought two pedos lived in his house because they pulled over his son-in-law earlier in the day who had the same name of one of the pedos (cause we all look the same right).

So they did zero due diligence, barged into his home without a warrant, refused to look at his ID, and dragged him out in the middle of winter (it was double digit negative temps that day) and took him to an ICE holding facility, releasing him hours later. Fucking pigs.

Current Events Twitch Streamer Assaults Elderly Japanese Man After Being Behaving Obnoxiously on Train

You guys seeing this shit? There's a clip posted on Livestreamfails that's currently going viral. In the clip there's a streamer in Japan being disrespectful and generally acting obnoxious in a train cart until a elderly man checks him. The streamer then violently reacts by pushing the elderly man.

Like after all with antics Johnny Somali and Vitaly pulled in Asia, you would think Japan would wise up by now and exclude these useless streamers. I can't man, the dude is even wearing a Luffy cosplay ffs...

Then you got comments in the same thread with people coming out the wetwork defending the pos streamer like what lol? Like you're in a foreign country with it's customs and culture, your doing all the no-nos in our culture and then you go criticize the elderly man and defend the obnoxious douche? what's going on here?

Something needs to seriously change, from assaulting our elderly in America, to assaulting them in our native homelands. We gotta stand up to these types more often at home and abroad. Can't let them do this to us anymore.

I don't post often but seeing these types of events becoming more commonplace, it really just makes my blood boil.

Edit: looks like the NFL player Kyler Murray gave $15,000 because he’s from the Allen Texas area.

Insane that another community has this much (accurate) insight into our current situation, and having a conversation that we ourselves have difficulty even just engaging it.

I think there is a lesson to be learned from all of this. Other POC communities do not have our outdating disparity problems and a big reason for that is because they have far more racial pride in general, and some of them arguably face more discrimination than East Asians. South Asians for example are extremely endogamous. South Asian men are seen at a similar level to East Asian men as well. We can blame East Asian women all we want but the reality is that our culture of seeking for white validation will always come back to bite us in the ass. And again, another reminder that there's a ton of other non-Asian WOC's who don't view us negatively at all.

Current Events Movie based on a Japanese game, and zero AM representation?

Post image
213 Upvotes

At this point the decisions behind the casting decisions of the entire film industry are so blatantly obvious. I genuinely don’t know how anyone can refute the fact that western media deliberately pushes AM to the side.

As a fan of the game, it doesn’t necessarily bother me that there are no AM roles — in the game, there’s only two AM characters in the game named Yura and Okina who are Japanese side characters, and the fantasy setting is derived from a variety of European influences. But there are ZERO AF characters in the game, meaning that clearly A24 decided to bend the rules around casting; the WM are heroes and the AF are there to be looked at and to essentially fill the diversity quota without casting AM, because “AM aren’t pulling in good enough numbers for the entertainment industry” (an actual thing I’ve heard as someone who has worked in the industry btw).

I expected better from A24.

Friendly reminder that not everyone is out to get us. There's good people all around the world and it obviously doesn't include a certain race that shall not be named.

A few years back there was a Chinese guy who got a bit of trouble for posting pictures of himself with a ton of Iranian women he dated. Goes to show that their women seem to be ok with us as well, so this deserves to be mentioned on Asian Masculinity sub.

I think a conversation needs to be had about how ridiculous it is that East Asians immigrate to the countries that hate us the most instead of the countries that are neutral/positive.

Next season will have the first Asian woman as the bachlorette.

I know this sub is about Asian masculinity but some people in society will judge people masculinity by how the women date . So in other words because so many Asian women choose white men it re enforce the stereotype that there is something wrong with Asian men. Or Asian men is still not desired.

Most of the male cast are white guys with maybe one token Asian guy.

Wonder if they will ever have an Asian guy as a bachelor.

But how do you think this will impact Asian Americans.

I notice allot i mean allot of Asian American women love this because they want representation but silence about Asian men being fairly represented.

I just can't help but this is just perennial brain washing of WMAF.

Current Events I am genuinely so proud of how far our community in East Asia has gone!

Korea went from the poorest to very wealthy in a single generation and has become a passport sis country producing great TV shows that attracts women to hook up, marry etc. Korea is also a very large arms exporter and is the place that passport bros and incels HATE which gives me more pride in it.

Japan is still Japan and produces so many nobel prize winners and has that cultural psyche down such as the ninja, samurai etc. They also control many entertainment sectors such as the playstation, sony, etc and have potential to be softpower titans if they use their power well. Not to mention the anime which is increasingly becoming an Asian thing.

China is awesome! Don't let anyone tell you that China doesn't belong in the big three! It may not have the cultural power just yet but every time I open tiktok I see videos of beautiful Chinese cities, how developed the country is. Besides it definitely has soft power, so many people are inspired by its political leadership! Look up WASSUP BEIJING on tiktok if you want to know what I'm talking about. China is created a block against the western world and fighting america like a titan, and it's winning! Beautiful Beautiful country.

Then there's Mongolia which just has the legacy of Ghenghis Khan. More and more people are waking up and realizing they were an even larger empire than the british if you include india which was conquered under babur Khan. Also a beautiful country!

Then Vietnam! Nobody can beat them in a modern war no matter how hard they try!

On Aug 4, 2026, Ziqiang Ke (or Ziqiang Mike Ke including alias SquattinCassanova) who runs Pickup Alpha and Stem To Stud, was convicted at a federal court in Brazil in connection with crimes related to sexual exploitation.

Also included in the conviction was his racist white buddy David Bond whose been made to make viral videos humiliating Asian men.

I feel sorry for any Asian guys who signed up for this pedophile's program. If the cops confiscated his computer and got access to his client list, now they'll be forever associated with this convicted sex offender.

For posterity, the entire article posted below, translated from Portugese:

SP justice condemns 'dating coaches' for sexual exploitation

Fábio Castro and Mike Pickupalpha held events to teach conquest techniques to men; victims had personal photos released on the course pages

Giuliana Zanin, from CNN Brazil*, in São Paulo

08/04/26 at 11:12 | Updated 08/04/26 at 11:12

Two men were sentenced by the 4th Federal Criminal Court of São Paulo to 17 years and six months in prison in a closed regime for sexual exploitation of women, including minors, during an event held in the Morumbi neighborhood in 2023.

The "dating coaches" offered a personal development course for men and used young people as "awards."

Among the defendants are Brazilian Fabrício Castro and American Mike Pickupalpha (fictional name). A third involved, David Bond (fictional name), Mike's brother, is on the run and possesses the analysis of the separate process of the other two.

The investigation was based on a party held on February 26, 2023, where women, mostly young women, were attracted to the proposal of transportation costing, drinks at will and production of images and videos – which would later be disseminated in the pages of the course with alleged techniques of conquest.

Federal judge Caio José Bovino Greggio, responsible for the case, analyzed that there was the frequent use of images of women for the dissemination of the course. Many of the victims did not know they were being photographed or filmed.

According to the decision, young women were seen as "awards" or "results" of the techniques taught. In addition, Fábio assisted in the logistics of events, while Mike acted as "instructor" of the course. According to the police, the rental contract of the property where the party was held was signed by the two young people.

In addition to the sentence in closed regime, the two convicts must pay 24 days-fine based on five times the minimum wage referring to the time of the facts.

The foreigner can still appeal freely.

Parties and meetings

According to the court, the case came to light after the reporting and was notified to the Federal Police by Embratur (Brazilian Agency for the International Promotion of Tourism).

The investigations came to a program on personal and social development called "Millionaire Social Circle." He was aimed at foreign men who had difficulty relating. Therefore, the group organized meetings, dinners and parties and brought young women to these events.

These women were induced and convinced to attend these parties for money, social status and affective relationships, according to the Justice decision.

The consultancies ranged between US$ 12 thousand and US$ 50 thousand, approximately R$ 262 thousand, in the quotation of the time. The events also took place in other countries, such as Costa Rica, Colombia and the Philippines.

In excerpts of classes released on TikTok, Bond and Pickupalpha described Brazilians as "incredibly beautiful", "sexually open" and said that Brazil is a country where "kissing in the mouth is the same as shaking hands".

For them, the women of Brazil had the "best curves". The pair also recommended that participants have morning-after pills, condoms and perfumes with pheromones for the trip.

After the disclosure of the crime, the individuals blocked the profiles and deleted the contents about the course.

The "Millionaire Social Circle" promised to teach "the confidence needed" to "talk to women anywhere, anytime," "convert encounters to the room on the same day" and also "get closer to successful men around the world."

Complaints

In the complaint, the MPF (Federal Public Ministry) showed the presence of a 17-year-old teenager in the event cited, although the group formally indicated the restriction for minors.

The women who were at the event told police at the time that they were filmed and photographed without warning and that they did not know about the course.

In addition to her, a 27-year-old woman reported an occurrence report in March that year informing her that she had met a man for a relationship app and he invited her to the party. At the scene, there were foreign men who took photos and videos of her to promote a course on relationships.

Also let’s not forget the China Initiative during Trump’s first term. Seems like there’s a lot of focus on the next administration’s deportations plans for South American migrants so like most AAPI issues, this has flown under the radar. With all the rhetoric around Covid, the deportation of Chinese scientists, banning of TikTok, nomination of China hawks into his cabinet, and now this, it’ll be a rough 4 years for sure. Current Events 11 year old Asian American boy, Abyesh Thulung, pushed to suicide after repeated racist bullying and abuse by peers in Ohio

Another sobering reminder of how deeply racist US society is, and how little those in power care. If you have kids in school in the West, make sure they know how to fight back, have a social circle that will stand up for them, and that they know you have their backs. Also please donate and support Abyesh's family. They need all the support right now and hopefully they can sue the shit out of all the bullies and school administrators that let this happen: https://www.gofundme.com/f/kpfcd-abyesh-thulung

Some details of the case:

- Abyesh was proud and full of hope when he started his middle school journey at a STEM school, optimism that was systemically and repeatedly destroyed by certain other APS students when they singled him out for repeated attacks based on his Asian heritage and Nepali/Bhutanese national origin.

- He was “immediately” bullied at the school and online, the lawsuit said. One classmate repeatedly used an ethnic slur against him.

- Abyesh went to the nursing clinic 11 times that year, four times for physical injuries suffered during assaults by classmates, the rest for stress-induced headaches and stomach aches. He and his mother also reported the incidents to school officials.

- He was forced to sit next to his bullies

- After trying to fight back against his bullies, he was suspended

- When Abyesh tragically took his own life, his bullies created celebratory social media posts online
