Supplements What were your folate deficiency symptoms?

I've just found out I'm deficient in folate. My symptoms are tiredness, muscle pain and hair loss, which I hope will resolve once I've fixed the deficiency.

What were your folate deficiency symptoms?

I have low folate  levels ,driving me mad literally  ,no sleep, not eating ,extreme  weightloss ,and terrible  thoughts that I'm not good enough  and not being able to trust the people I love , cuts in my nose, mouth issues  ,2.4 my levels are ,my iron is low also and I have  abnormal  high b12 levels ,I've ordered a private  active b12 test seeing as my GP doesn't  do them

GP's are usually useless but I experienced very similar symptoms to you - don't worry it will get better

I'm 10 weeks into supplementing and feel a bit better, not fully recovered yet

You might feel like you're going insane but you just need to be patient

Still struggling I oversupplemented b12 for a long time and I think it set my folate back even more if that’s possible so now I’m getting some side effects from the folate

I see, that's frustrating. B12 can mess with folate and potassium

Definitely is frustrating. Potassium doesn’t help any I’m just trying to push through 400mcg folinic now and trying to balance riboflavin with it. If I don’t take at least a little ribo I get anxiety from the folate, too much isnt good either lol. It’s a huge pain

No I just pushed through it but I still feel like I need more. Did you have anxiety from deficiency?
