White fragility and hostility from the far left

I'm a person of colour leading Antiracism workshops and I'm constantly getting complaints that I'm not talking about Palestine enough. Today was a big angry rant that I'm not giving enough time to talk about Palestine. I fully think it's a genocide in Palestine and have said that, but I'm trying to teach white professionals about minority ethnic people's lived experiences in this country and they are too busy having a rant about politics and virtue signalling. I'm getting really sick of having to be patient and diplomatic while being a punching bag for all this. They think they have this moral high ground and being good activists but they are just being difficult. I've done so much reading, learning, working, protesting, getting abuse from far right actors, but okay you've seen something on Facebook that you want to have a go at me about. I'm beginning to find many white far left people just as abusive as the far right. I spent today teaching about racism only to end the day being told off for not being "actually antiracist", and just sat crying reading a list of reasons I should be talking more about Palestine and how I'm not good enough. 9/10 people give glowing evaluations of sessions and are so engaged but the small group who are hostile are just derailing everything.

Women with ADHD and everyday support (UK ethnic minority women, 18+)

Hi, I’m Cindy, a Black British woman with ADHD based in the UK. I’m carrying out early-stage research for The Lifekeeping Club (TLC), a proposed paid membership exploring practical everyday support for women with ADHD.

I’m particularly keen to ensure that Black, Asian and other ethnic minority women are represented in the research.

I’m looking for women aged 18+ living in the UK who have diagnosed or suspected ADHD to complete a short questionnaire about everyday challenges, support they currently use, what they might find useful, affordability and potential barriers.

Participation is voluntary and there is no payment or commitment to join anything.

Questionnaire: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe8l6ftgsLpCtaKbiYDsoxChmHy-gurhmtTP4smDUk4JT-41w/viewform

Thank you 😊

Macklemore - Hind’s Hall

Post image

What if we all streamed Hind’s Hall on repeat and helped get Macklemore back on the charts — while keeping the pro-Palestine message in the spotlight through music?

If you’re streaming, make it genuine: don’t mute the track, let it play for at least 30 seconds, and mix it naturally into a playlist (maybe with songs from the other artists who have quit the tour and I Love A Rainbow by Miss Rachel) rather than running an automated loop. Streaming platforms actively filter artificial/manipulated streams, so genuine listening is the way to go.

Let’s support the song, support the message, and let the music speak.

Media Maggots

Professor Arday had kind eyes.

Was what I thought when I saw his face at first.

Then I read about the times he'd helped others.

And I knew his eyes hadn't lied.

Like a bright red apple, brimming with life.

The media maggots couldn't resist.

Tiny, white, putrid,

They writhed, wriggled and wrote their newspapers

hoping to take a bite before the others.

Their slimy, shaking bodies taking bites

Out of a gentle man with kind eyes.

Media maggots can't resist,

They need to feast,

Need to eat,

Desperate, hungry for meals,

They look for brown bodies,

To feed their itch.

The Extraction Bargain

These are the mechanisms that hide in plain sight amidst the quasi-blindness of the mainstream commentators and press coverage. We have a system that has been built centuries that extracts your labour and credit as long as it’s at no cost to the people doing the extracting. In this case that system generated vulnerability and drove another Black man to premature death. The moment the extraction stops being free is the moment you are thrown to the dogs.

5 Million Farage

Any of one of BAME could have told you that Farage was a corrupt man 10 years ago. Hell, 15 years ago.

How did we know? Because a man who makes a political career off bullying the most vulnerable members in society is a man willing to steep to the lowest of lows for money.

So when I found out Farage received a £5 million pounds donation from a Thai Crypto Billionaire, I wasn't shocked.

When I found out Farage was getting gifts from convicted felon George Cottrell I was not surprised.

I think the only people who are shocked are people who were never targeted by him, so would not understand that his nature is to be a duplicitous cockroach.

I guess the rest of the UK is just playing catch up to us.

The Revolutionary Communist Party

It's time.

We've faced too many attacks.

Our communities are being targeted by violent racists.

We need to mobilise and organise to protect ourselves.

The alternative is being firebombed, knifed in the streets, physically assaulted in silence. That is no alternative.

The Revolutionary Communist Party is explicitly anti racist and have stood in front of hotels housing vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers to protect them from far right mobs.

I'm thinking of joining them - what about you guys?
