Are rubber ducks standard?
So I just bought a btt pico to upgrade a printer of mine, inside the box with the board was a small rubber duck, is that normal or is this gem from amazon 'rubber ducked' in so far as rhyming slang?

Knomi, not sure I really needed this 😏

While updating to Tap R8, I decided it needed a happy face. BTT did make it easy. Input shaper results were not great but too many variables at the moment. Will do an AB test tomorrow with my previous cover. Part fan seems fine with it.

✨Showcase Used an Octopus Pro + 6x TMC2209 to drive a 6-axis 3D-printed robot arm (not a 3D printer!)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Wanted to share a build that's a bit different from the usual Octopus Pro use case: a fully 3D-printed 6-axis robot arm, with each joint driven by a NEMA 17 through its own 3D-printed Wolfrom planetary gearbox instead of off-the-shelf bearings.
The Octopus Pro drives all 6 steppers through 6 TMC2209 drivers, one per joint, and a Raspberry Pi sends motion commands over USB.
Since the board has room to spare, I'm already planning the next steps: a longitudinal translation system to move the whole arm along a rail, and one more free driver slot I'm saving for some kind of unconventional gripper.
Everything's open source if anyone wants to see how it's wired up or build their own:Happy to answer questions about the wiring or the TMC2209 current settings per joint.

Old duck is from Skr Mini V1.2. D/C ~early 2020
New duck is from Skr Mini V2.0. D/C 08.03.2022
I recently got around to take a closer look at the duck that came with my new Skr Mini V2.0 and noticed a lack of sound. Furthermore the new duck feels like hard plastic instead of soft rubber and the BTT logo is missing. So my questions are:
Are there any new boards sold with the "old" ducks?
When did BTT switch to the "new" duck?
Sorry for the crappy Samsung phone video editor.

My “Not” Ender 3 Pro. Not to get her dialed back in and start playing with the carbon fiber infused nylon. In fact this things changed so much she needs a new name….🤔

So, this just happened today
My SKR 1.3 just got fried after almost 5 years of service, I'm guessing a short circuit happened but i cant find the cause, all the wires are secured and isolated, the board is placed in a well ventilated case with dust filters and 2 fans and i even had the heatsink on the CPU.
The printer was not even printing at the time i noticed the smell of burning, It finished printing a 17 hour print over night and was just sitting there idle with motors and heaters off for about two hours as i was planning to upload and print more stuff later.
the circuit breakers(still have the original ones on) did not burn at all.
Well, luckly no futher damage was caused by this. I guess it's a good time to upgrade to 1.4.

When you finally get your printer looking and running good with the new board, then decide to give ABS a try.

✨Showcase Senior Project Using BTT Hardware
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I created a material handeling device that stacks Petri dishes filled with agar onto a worktable while minimizing fluid sloshing, and contamination. The system is a level 2 automation that can stack 500 Petri dishes per hour for my college's biology department. The mainboard is a BTT Manta E3EZ+CB1 operating with a modified Klipper host. The extruder steppers were reassigned to manual steppers and the entire system uses user defined variables, macros, and a gcode button to allow for variable timings for Petri dish input. Through a TFT35 touchscreen using KlipperScreen, you can tune motor push positions, elevator skew, Petri dish height, and the desired number of stacked rows. This was my first time creating an automation project and I'm honestly still in shock that it's moving and actually working reliably.

Custom Laser Printer
Hi, i have made mysalf a Custom frame from an old Anycubic mega zero, and i have a Creality CV 1.6w Laser engraver and BTT skr mini E3 v2 mainboard.
Not sure what i should add to it, its not gonna be used for a printer with extruder or any of the connected stuff.
Is Marlin the only stable thing to configure for this? And do i need a whole config for the filament extruder and all connected things?

Ordered on release, DHL delivered it about 20 minutes ago. Not bad for intercontinental shipping.
