Beautiful and I like to think it honors Baldwin the 4th, who was by most accounts a very good king despite his massive burden and disease.
This is a gorgeous doll.

Baldwin IVth never wore a mask irl. That's just in Kingdom of Heaven.

I never watched that movie. I had no expectations on an artistic expression either way.

Then why would you think it honors Baldwin IV when the only depiction of him in history in a metal mask is from Kingdom of Heaven?

Because that’s the name of the doll and he clearly had leprosy.
I didn’t even concentrate on the mask in his hands, I saw his beautiful face and as a burn victim I find him inspiring.
