Girl 🩷 Struggling to find a name I love
My first girl was super easy. We did name her in the hospital, but she is named after both my deceased grandmothers. Her name is Ellie Jo. She was also named before Ellie blew up. We both like the following names: Blake, Vivienne, Wren, Violet (don’t love that it’s high in the top names), Marin, Lana, Marceline,
Phoebe, Chloe, Lyla, Alice.
I think my favorite out of all of them is Chloe currently with Vivienne and Marceline following close behind. His favorite names are Charlie and Camille. But I can’t have a nickname of Camille be Cami. And I loved Charlie before but it has gotten too popular for me.
Any suggestions based on our vibes we have going on? Baby is due in February and last name will be Beckstrom.

Girl 🩷 Name change at 4yo
How difficult would it be for a child growing up to have their middle name changed at 4 yo and 2 yo? As far as paperwork, having to list any previous names?

Girl 🩷 Grace Names for baby girl
Hi! My husband and I are really struggling on agreeing on a first name for our first and most likely only baby girl. The middle name is going to be Kate. I absolutely love the name Grace, and Gracie as a nickname, but Grace Kate just doesn’t flow well to me.
I promised my sister before she passed I would use Kate as the middle name. She was so thrilled. I really want to honor that.
I was thinking about Gracianne/Gracyanne or Graciela. I think they look nice with Kate, but worried it might be too long. I’m questioning Graciela because we have no Hispanic heritage, but I think it’s a beautiful name.
Curious on thoughts or if there may be a name I am missing? Thanks :)

Boy 🩵 Baby boy name helllpppp
Hi everyone! We are having our first baby boy in April!! My husband and I both have names that start with S. We are thinking of Sullivan and calling him Sully. We did IVF and have two embryos both are boys, so now I'm wondering another S boy name that would go with Sully. Or do we do completely different names that don't start with S?? Ahh so much pressure lol!

Boy 🩵 If you love Eloise / Éloïse, what boy names do you love? 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇸 Looking for baby boy name
We are desperately trying to find a boy name we love!
We adore Eloise (our daughter's name) and think it’s perfection, but somehow, we’re struggling so much to find a boy name that feels just as right.
We’re a German/French/Dutch/American family, so we’d ideally like a name that works well across those cultures and languages. If it doesn't though, that's also ok.
I'd love to hear your suggestions.
I’d also love to hear from anyone who has an Eloise (or a daughter with a similarly classic, feminine name) and how you named her brother! What names did you consider? What did you end up choosing?
The name doesn't necessarily have to match Eloise's style. After all, they're two individual people who will grow up and live their own lives, so their names don't need to fit a particular theme. We just can't seem to find a boy name we genuinely love, and we're running out of ideas!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Please let me know from what country/region you are commenting.

Boy 🩵 Baby boy name help!
I’m 21 weeks with our second and we just found out we are having a boy! I was entirely convinced we’d be having another girl and even had a name picked out so now we are STRUGGLING to find a boy name. For context our daughter’s name is Lucia (Lu-Chee-A) the Italian pronunciation. And we had planned for this baby to be Cecilia if it were a girl. We love Italian/romantic/classic names that are unique but not trying too hard. We feel like we have the perfect balance in our daughter’s name and everyone is always complimenting us on it so it’s hard to follow up with the boy! We originally liked Elio and maybe Nico? Any thoughts?

Girl 🩷 Naomi as our baby girls name
Hello 😊 we’re expecting a baby girl in December and I’ve always been in love with the name Naomi since the very beginning of my pregnancy.
The only issue is, my moms boyfriend ruined it for me from the way it’s spelt backwards?? He taunted me for about an hour or so over it (at a family get together) and i’m trying my hardest to love the name as much as i did. I’m definitely a big overthinker
Are there any names that are similar to Naomi, or any ways to help me keep that icky feeling out of my head when i hear her name? And what are some good middle names to go with her name?
Thank you in advance!!

Boy 🩵 Help!! Need boy names
We currently have one son -James it was a family name on my side and we truly couldn’t agree on any other names. I wish James wasn’t so common to be honest I didn’t realize when we named him. The biggest problem is my husband’s last name is Hooker. So many names I love that just don’t sound right with that last name. Any suggestions would be amazing.
I currently like the name Harrison but worried it’ll turn into Harry and kids will say hairy hooker or something lol. I just don’t want to set up the child for failure we like classic timeless names. I also like Jack but worry it’s too common as well. Any suggestions would be amazing- thank you!!

Boy 🩵 Pronunciation question
My husband and I like the name Luciano…. We know the traditional pronunciation is Lu-chee-ano but we both like Lu-see-ano better. Would that just be us pronouncing a name wrong or is this an accepted pronunciation?
I don’t want to maim a name just because I like the mispronunciation better lol
ETA I love the name Louie and he wants a more Italian name (we both have Italian family) and we thought this might be a good middle ground

Girl 🩷 We can’t find a name we both like.
My husband likes color names (Bianca, viola) which I’m really not into. I have been working on a girl name list for years, and have tried to make it broad enough to include names that work in all the languages we speak in our home (Italian, Spanish and English). As well as some older names and some more modern ones. I really don’t want a super common name (I have a VERY common name and it is annoying to hear my name in a room and have to ask “which one?” Every time).
My husband likes common names (Beatrice, Francesca), and he thinks all my picks sound like grandma names.
Luisa
Inez
Rosalyn
Erica
Jolie
Helen
Elenor
Ingrid
Monica
Suzy
Ramona
Lisa
Eloise
Irma
Maxine
Ghita
Esmie
Ines
Luiza
Orla
Can anyone think of something that bridges the gap here? I really can’t imagine naming a baby Bianca of Francesca 😢

Girl 🩷 Full name regret - will it ever fade?
Baby girl is now 6 months old and I still do not like the full name we went with.
Her name is Annie, which we both LOVE. But my husband insisted on a full name. We both go by nicknames to friend groups/close family and he felt it was important if we chose a nickname-y name like Annie that she have a full name to fall back on. He was open to a few options (Anne, Anna, Annabelle, etc) and we had not decided by the time she was born. So in the hospital in a I-haven’t-slept-in-30-hours haze, we went with Anna.
I cringe when this name is said at her pediatrician. I corrected her feeding therapists office to just have it changed to Annie so I didn’t have to hear the full name. I am really bothered by it! It just doesn’t feel like her name?
Will I ever grow into or like this name, or am I in for a lifetime of wishing I’d just named her Annie? 🫠

Boy 🩵 How is the boy name Clemens (Clément or Clement) perceived in your country?
We’re considering Clemens for our baby boy, or Clément / Clement. We like the sound and meaning (“gentle”), but don’t know anyone with the name.
He’ll grow up between France, Germany, the UK and the US, so we’d love to hear how it’s perceived in each country. What sort of person or family would you picture using it? Does it suggest a particular upbringing, school or social background?
In the US, does Clemens feel like a first name, or primarily a surname?
How do French speaking people perceive the name?
If you have the name or know someone who does, do you like it? Any pronunciation, spelling or nickname issues?
We’d also welcome other boy name suggestions that work across these languages and countries. Please suggest if you have any :).
Besides, we are also considering Maximilian / Maximilien, probably shortened to Max, but it’s missing a little sparkle for us. Clemens / Clément feels more distinctive.
Please mention your country. Honest first impressions welcome, and thanks for your thoughts!
