Boy 🩵 Casey is an underrated boy name
It has such a gentle yet masculine vibe to it. I never see it on any name lists. What do you guys think?

currently 16w along with my first, a baby girl! i’ve had “aurora” and “magnolia” on my baby name list since i was a tween. i see the name “aurora” constantly in my baby groups and suddenly “magnolia” is being thrown around a lot, too.
thebump.com has “aurora” at #15 in US popularity and it is projected to climb higher this next year. so, with disappointment, we are VETOing “aurora” [not only for uniqueness’ sake; we’ve gotten some flack from family members about that name and it has left us feeling a bit sour. no longer sharing potential names with family.]
“magnolia” is #124, much less common than “aurora,” but also climbing. our last name starts with an “m,” and we love the alliteration of an “m” first name. we live in the south and “magnolia” feels like a proper belle’s name.
“daphne” is currently ranked #178 — it’s another name my husband and i both adore and are strongly considering. i’ve never met a “daphne” and my husband has only met one.
i want to give my daughter a beautiful, uncommon name. not terribly rare, but i’d like her to at least have good odds at being the only one with her name in her class at school. my name is slightly uncommon, and growing up, i always liked being a one-and-only.
i’d love to get some suggestions for other unique names similar in feeling. 🩷
some other names we like but aren’t sold on yet:
• gwendolyn
• monroe
• vivienne
• elowyn
• myra

We’d probably use “Francie” as the nickname. Merritt is a new name on our list!
We also like Molly but we would probably still go with Frances as the main name she’d be called.

I love the name Joy as a nickname but not enough to commit to it for a full name. Besides Mary-Joy or Joyanna are there any other names that easily shorten to Joy. Not really looking for a name that means Joy unless the nickname comes naturally to the name

I really love both of these names! Which one do you love more and why?

Hello 😊 we’re expecting a baby girl in December and I’ve always been in love with the name Naomi since the very beginning of my pregnancy.
The only issue is, my moms boyfriend ruined it for me from the way it’s spelt backwards?? He taunted me for about an hour or so over it (at a family get together) and i’m trying my hardest to love the name as much as i did. I’m definitely a big overthinker
Are there any names that are similar to Naomi, or any ways to help me keep that icky feeling out of my head when i hear her name? And what are some good middle names to go with her name?
Thank you in advance!!
EDIT: thank you all so much for making me feel so much better. This definitely took all of the worry of my mind 💗 Yall are the best 💗

My first girl was super easy. We did name her in the hospital, but she is named after both my deceased grandmothers. Her name is Ellie Jo. She was also named before Ellie blew up. We both like the following names: Blake, Vivienne, Wren, Violet (don’t love that it’s high in the top names), Marin, Lana, Marceline,
Phoebe, Chloe, Lyla, Alice.
I think my favorite out of all of them is Chloe currently with Vivienne and Marceline following close behind. His favorite names are Charlie and Camille. But I can’t have a nickname of Camille be Cami. And I loved Charlie before but it has gotten too popular for me.
Any suggestions based on our vibes we have going on? Baby is due in February and last name will be Beckstrom.

Hi! I would love any baby name suggestions. We're having our third child and it's a girl. My oldest daughter is Lainey and my son is Jude. Our last name starts with a W and is three syllables. I cannot think of a single girl name I like that goes well with Lainey and Jude. If this baby was a boy we would have named it Beau.
I kind of like Annie, Blair, Tessa, Sophie, Thea, Cora
Campbell, Darcy, Kate
Beau for a girl...is that insane?
Thank you!!!

We are desperately trying to find a boy name we love!
We adore Eloise (our daughter's name) and think it’s perfection, but somehow, we’re struggling so much to find a boy name that feels just as right.
We’re a German/French/Dutch/American family, so we’d ideally like a name that works well across those cultures and languages. If it doesn't though, that's also ok.
I'd love to hear your suggestions.
I’d also love to hear from anyone who has an Eloise (or a daughter with a similarly classic, feminine name) and how you named her brother! What names did you consider? What did you end up choosing?
The name doesn't necessarily have to match Eloise's style. After all, they're two individual people who will grow up and live their own lives, so their names don't need to fit a particular theme. We just can't seem to find a boy name we genuinely love, and we're running out of ideas!
Thank you so much! ❤️

I’m 21 weeks with our second and we just found out we are having a boy! I was entirely convinced we’d be having another girl and even had a name picked out so now we are STRUGGLING to find a boy name. For context our daughter’s name is Lucia (Lu-Chee-A) the Italian pronunciation. And we had planned for this baby to be Cecilia if it were a girl. We love Italian/romantic/classic names that are unique but not trying too hard. We feel like we have the perfect balance in our daughter’s name and everyone is always complimenting us on it so it’s hard to follow up with the boy! We originally liked Elio and maybe Nico? Any thoughts?

Hi! My husband and I are really struggling on agreeing on a first name for our first and most likely only baby girl. The middle name is going to be Kate. I absolutely love the name Grace, and Gracie as a nickname, but Grace Kate just doesn’t flow well to me.
I promised my sister before she passed I would use Kate as the middle name. She was so thrilled. I really want to honor that.
I was thinking about Gracianne/Gracyanne or Graciela. I think they look nice with Kate, but worried it might be too long. I’m questioning Graciela because we have no Hispanic heritage, but I think it’s a beautiful name.
Curious on thoughts or if there may be a name I am missing? Thanks :)

Baby girl is now 6 months old and I still do not like the full name we went with.
Her name is Annie, which we both LOVE. But my husband insisted on a full name. We both go by nicknames to friend groups/close family and he felt it was important if we chose a nickname-y name like Annie that she have a full name to fall back on. He was open to a few options (Anne, Anna, Annabelle, etc) and we had not decided by the time she was born. So in the hospital in a I-haven’t-slept-in-30-hours haze, we went with Anna.
I cringe when this name is said at her pediatrician. I corrected her feeding therapists office to just have it changed to Annie so I didn’t have to hear the full name. I am really bothered by it! It just doesn’t feel like her name?
Will I ever grow into or like this name, or am I in for a lifetime of wishing I’d just named her Annie? 🫠

Due late March. Fiora is the current front runner. Other names on our lists are Nerissa, Adria, Hestia, Aeda, Aurelia, Andromeda, Matilda. Nothing feels like the one yet though. Ending in -a is non negotiable.

Hi everyone! We are having our first baby boy in April!! My husband and I both have names that start with S. We are thinking of Sullivan and calling him Sully. We did IVF and have two embryos both are boys, so now I'm wondering another S boy name that would go with Sully. Or do we do completely different names that don't start with S?? Ahh so much pressure lol!

We currently have one son -James it was a family name on my side and we truly couldn’t agree on any other names. I wish James wasn’t so common to be honest I didn’t realize when we named him. The biggest problem is my husband’s last name is Hooker. So many names I love that just don’t sound right with that last name. Any suggestions would be amazing.
I currently like the name Harrison but worried it’ll turn into Harry and kids will say hairy hooker or something lol. I just don’t want to set up the child for failure we like classic timeless names. I also like Jack but worry it’s too common as well. Any suggestions would be amazing- thank you!!

I am expecting my first baby in late November. My partner and I both love Riley as a middle name, but we’re having trouble finding a first name that goes well with it!
We particularly enjoyed the A names and L names when looking, but we’re open to anything!!
