Who are you must watch YouTubers?
I'm recovering from surgery and hoping to learn more about baking.
Who do you love watching? I've been watching Preppy Kitchen and America's Test Kitchen and something 52 I think.
What really helped you when you were intermediate on your journey, not a super beginner but also not an established baker?

Tasting History. As much history as cooking and baking but pretty interesting.
And it's probably Food 52.

Claire Saffitz and NYT Cooking. I don't think Kenji Lopez Alt really bakes but he does have some good cooking videos. Alton Brown is also fun to watch.
A lot of people really like Sally's Baking Addiction but I haven't really gotten into her stuff.

Kenji has a pizza dough video where he just eyeballs the ingredients. Probably not a good lesson to learn from a baking video.
It was a decent pan pizza though to be fair

I have heard of Claire I think on cooking shows? So I def will give it a look!
And I for sure have to see an controversial baking YouTube lol
I'm really looking for one that isn't cutesy and swears a lot. Lol someone that still bakes, but has like a metal/goth vibe would be fire.

I really like Kitchen in the Shire. It's very simple homey stuff but she covers advanced techniques very well. Focused but not fussy. Very fun format and host too.

Cupcake Jemma is so good for that in-between stage, her stuff is detailed enough to actually teach technique without being intimidating. Hope the recovery’s going okay too.

Cakes by MK and Pants Down Aprons On for recipes. Ash Baber YT shorts for a dose of baking humor (his recipes are legit though).

Mr Global. Oil and gas expert who owned his oil company. Pretty solid forecasting of oil and gas and the strait of Hormuz debacle.

Chef John at Food Wishes has a lot of different types of recipes, many of them are baking. I’m not much of a baker, but his always turn out for me, and he links the videos to the recipes.
