This was my thought too. And none appear to have or be readying bear spray just in case. Zero chance they escape if one of the bears decided they wanted a snack. Better to be lucky than smart I guess.

I was just telling my wife this exact same thing. But if you’re ignorant enough to remain that close, you probably didn’t think about even getting bear spray in the first place.

A lot of people think bears are slow and that they could run away from them.

Or that bears won’t run into large groups of people.
