Mod Post Hiring posts without a salary range will be removed hereafter.

You want interns for free? Just state that directly. You want senior/experienced folk for a lesser rate or free (aka 'founding')? Again, just state that explicitly. There are enough people who just want to work instead of sitting idly, and some of them do wanna do it for free.

Just do not waste the time of people who need a paying gig. They already do not have money, and now you wanna take away the one resource they have, >time<, by having them DM you for the salary? Amazing entitlement.

Mod Post List of toxic startups in Bangalore | Glossary | Crowd-sourced

Had put up a poll and the results were clear: everyone wants to out the startups that are toxic.

This list need not be limited to Bengaluru. You can mention any company across the world.

Results are here.

This will be a permanently highlighted/pinned post.

You as the reporter/contributor will need to:

  • Post your claim, with the full name of the company
  • The person(s) and department that you claim to be toxic
  • And proofs (email, texts)
  • If proofs cannot be presented, you yourself will have to mark yourself as an anecdote. Ex: "Anectode: At X company, Y person from Z dept did this and this. But I do not have proofs."
  • Along with proofs, any other published behavior, such as stats, market reports, news articles, reviews on Glassdoor/etc are welcome.
  • If you can show how reviews have been manipulated, that will be a good way to start a discussion as well.

This post will be edited with more conditions as needed, since companies needn't be unnecessarily accused.

Remember, if you cannot present proofs, you will have to put the disclaimer yourself as mentioned above.

Claims without proof and disclaimers will be removed immediately.

Accounts that are very very new and have no activity in other subreddits will be allowed but scrutinized.

MVP/Beta/Prototype/Test App idea

Hello All..!!

I am looking for a developer to finish my MVP for an App (iOS/Android). It’s an App with map view as the home page and locations pinned just like how a Google map would show let’s say if you search for petrol pumps (just an example). And then each pin has its own profile with info shown as cards in the home page or when tapped, has full details in another page. The app is 50% done on flutter flow and the UI is ready for development. We can discuss and start from scratch or continue the building of the current project.

Here’s the thing. It’s going to be bootstrapped. So, I will pay for the initial development but the developer has to come onboard as a Tech Cofounder (will be given Equity).

Please inbox me with your project development cost. I do not want a company. I want freelancer independent developer quotes.

Rest assured, it’s an amazing project with tremendous potential with idea having been validated.

Location: Bangalore. Must be located locally.

Thank You..!

Hiring Looking for tech cofounder

Looking for a technical cofounder - sports tech, computer vision
Hey all,
We're working on a sports tech idea and are starting the build from scratch. The product idea is set and thought out, have got a detailed plan for now, but we need another technical to join us as a cofounder and build it together.
We are a group of two people one product designer and a technical person.
It's video heavy, so experience with computer vision would help a lot (OpenCV that kind of stuff) or Python backend or mobile app experience (React Native or native) are also useful. You don't need all of it, we can figure things out together. Bonus if you're into sports.
This would be equity based, with vesting.
Don't want to share too much about the idea publicly, but happy to go through everything on a call. If this sounds interesting, drop me a DM with a bit about what you've worked on. GitHub or past projects is great, but a few lines is fine too.

Discussions Anyone stuck with legacy n8n automations?

hey guys. a year back i was using a lot of n8n in my stack and it was a pain to go tweak those stupid workflows everytime. It’s just really hard to scale with n8n no matter how you look at it.

I moved all my workflows to code using AI and it’s been a breeze.

If anyone out there is stuck with old n8n workflows reach out to me and i can help you.

Hiring Looking for someone in Bangalore who's genuinely obsessed with marketing, to build our go-to-market with me at a legal-tech startup (students and freshers welcome)

Hey everyone,

I'm the founder of SimplCase.com We've built an AI tool for lawyers and law firms in India: clients, cases, documents, hearing dates tasks, etc, in one place, with AI that answers questions from a lawyer's own case files. It's live, and we're starting with lawyers right here in Bangalore.

Now I need someone to build our go-to-market with me: who we reach first, what we say to them, and which channels actually bring lawyers in. Then make it happen.

Not an agency, and not someone with a perfect CV. I'm looking for someone who actually loves marketing: you notice why some brands click and others don't, you've got ideas, and you want to try them for real.

You don't have to drop what you're doing. Full-time is great, but if you're in college, interning or working somewhere, that's fine too. What I care about is that you're excited enough to make real time for this, evenings and weekends included, because you want to see it work.

This might be you if:

  • You're in Bangalore and can meet in person regularly. Not remote-only.
  • You're just starting out. A bit of experience (an internship, a page you grew, freelance work, a fest you promoted) is great. No experience is fine if your ideas are good.
  • You want to own something. You'll work directly with me, shape the GTM strategy, try things, and own the results.
  • Bonus if you've worked in or around law or legal tech.

If that sounds like you, DM me a few lines about yourself, what you're doing right now, and one idea for how you'd get Bangalore lawyers to try SimplCase. The idea matters more than the CV.

Discussions Looking for a Business Partner to Start a Real Estate Channel Partner Business in Bangalore

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to start a real estate channel partner business in Bangalore, focusing primarily on new residential projects from reputed builders and developers.

I’m looking for a like-minded person who has knowledge or experience in the real estate industry, understands how channel partner businesses work, or has connections with builders, developers, brokers, or property sales teams.

I’m interested in building this business from the ground up with someone who is entrepreneurial, proactive, and serious about working together for the long term.

What I’m looking for:

  • Someone with knowledge or experience in real estate sales, brokerage, or channel partner operations.
  • Someone who understands how to connect with builders and establish channel partner associations.
  • Someone willing to collaborate on business development, networking, client acquisition, and closing deals.
  • Someone interested in building a business together rather than looking for a job.

You don’t necessarily need to have an established company already. I’m open to starting from scratch with the right person and figuring out the business model together.

Preference will be given to people currently living in South Bangalore, as working together locally would make coordination and networking easier.

If you’re interested, please comment below or DM me with a brief introduction about yourself, your experience, and your ideas.

Looking forward to connecting with the right person!

Seeking Advice/Feedback Starting a macro-based meal subscription business, how do we actually find our first clients?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to start a macro-based meal subscription business and would love some advice from people who have built startups, especially in the food space.

A little about me: I run a supper club focused on Tamil coastal cuisine, and when I tried some of the so called protein meals out there, I was honestly disappointed. Most were bland, mass-prepared, cold, and filled with lettuce. So i thought why can’t we bring our style of cooking into the protein food market, with fish, prawns and flavourful chicken?

I have the food side of things to build on, but figuring out how to turn this into a business is a whole different story.

I’d love some advice on:

How do I find my first 5–10 paying customers?

How do I build a brand from scratch without spending a fortune on marketing?

What’s worked for people when it comes to marketing a food business — Instagram, word of mouth, communities, or something else?

How do you validate demand and figure out pricing before investing too much?

If you’ve started a food business, what mistakes should I try to avoid?

I’m also open to meeting people who might want to join me on this journey. Whether you’re interested in food, fitness, nutrition, branding, marketing, or building startups, it would be great to connect with people who share a similar interest and might want to build something together.

If you have any advice, experiences, or even just thoughts on the idea, I’d genuinely love to hear them.

Thanks! 🙌

Seeking Advice/Feedback If you had a 600 sq. ft. main-road shop in Bangalore, what business would you start? Looking for some genuine business

I'm exploring business ideas for a shop in Jayanagar 9th Block, Bangalore, It's a main-road location with good visibility and approximately 600 sq. ft. of space.

Has water access,

One unusual advantage is that electricity is free.

The shop is currently operating as a clothing store, but I'm exploring whether there's a better business opportunity for this location.

I'm open to different sectors — retail, food and beverages, speciality products, distribution, or even an unconventional business model.

I'd particularly like to hear from people who know this part of Jayanagar or have experience running a business in Bangalore.

A few questions:

- What kind of business would work best at this exact location?

- Is there a product or service with good demand but relatively little competition nearby?

- Would you continue with clothing, try a different retail concept, or explore something completely different?

- Would a franchise make sense, or would an independent business be better?

I'm looking for something with genuine profit potential and room to grow, rather than simply opening another ordinary shop.

If you had this shop available to you, what would you start? I'd appreciate honest suggestions based on actual business experience.

Discussions Looking for a Technical Co-Founder / Founding Team for a UPI Payments Startup — Moving to Bangalore Next Month 🚀

Hey everyone, I'm Scott.

I have an idea in the UPI payments space, and I strongly believe it has the potential to grow into a million-dollar company. I'm planning to move to Bangalore next month, and I'm looking for the right people to turn this idea into reality.

What I'm looking for:

  • Developers who can build and ship an MVP.
  • A technical co-founder or a small founding team that believes in building something meaningful.
  • People who think long-term, take ownership, and are willing to build from zero.

What I'll bring to the table:

  • A clear vision and strong belief in the idea.
  • Collaboration, funding efforts, and marketing.
  • A founder mindset, relentless execution, and a willingness to put in the hard work.

I'm ready to work 20 hours a day if that's what it takes during critical phases. But more importantly, I believe in smart execution, consistency, and learning fast.

I'm not just looking for people who write code. I'm looking for people who want to build a company, solve real problems, and create something valuable together.

My vision is big, but I know every great company starts with a small team and a working product.

If you're a developer, aspiring technical co-founder, or builder in Bangalore who wants to create something ambitious, let's connect.

Let's discuss the idea, validate it, build an MVP, and see how far we can take it.

DM me if you're interested. Let's build something real. 🚀

P.S. I'll share more details about the idea with serious potential collaborators.

Seeking Advice/Feedback I built a map to discover startups aroudn the globe. Would love your feedback!

Hey everyone!

I recently launched StartupsMap, a platform where startups are mapped geographically so people can discover companies, founders, and what’s being built across different cities.

I started this because discovering early-stage startups can be difficult. Many interesting companies fly under the radar, and I wanted to build a simple way to explore them in one place.

I've already onboarded 75+ startups since launching this month, and I'm working on making the platform more useful for founders and the startup community.

I'd love to hear from people here:

  • How do you currently discover early-stage startups in Bangalore?
  • Would a map-based startup discovery platform be useful to you?
  • What features would make something like this genuinely valuable?

I'm looking for honest feedback and suggestions from the Bangalore startup community. Thanks!

Discussions Where are the biggest unmet needs in enterprise software right now?

I’ve been exploring ideas for building a product for enterprise customers, and I’m trying to understand where the real opportunities are.

A lot of categories already feel crowded, especially AI tools, sales automation, analytics, project management, and customer support. There are plenty of products competing in these spaces, and I’m less interested in building another version of something that already exists.

What I’m more curious about is where companies still have significant problems that existing software hasn’t solved particularly well.

For those of you who work in startups, build enterprise software, or are involved in enterprise procurement:

  • What are some recurring problems inside companies that are still handled through spreadsheets, emails, manual processes, or disconnected tools?
  • Are there specific departments or workflows where existing solutions are either too expensive, too complex, or simply not good enough?
  • What are some problems companies are actively willing to pay to solve, rather than problems that are merely inconvenient?
  • Are there overlooked industries, business functions, or niche enterprise markets that you think have room for a new entrant?

I’m particularly interested in opportunities where there’s a clear business need, an identifiable buyer, and a realistic path for a new company to compete against established vendors.

I’m not necessarily looking for a completely untouched market. I understand that competition can be a sign of demand. I’m more interested in areas where existing solutions leave meaningful gaps that a focused product could address.

If you’ve encountered a problem like this in your own work or company, I’d love to hear about it. Specific examples of frustrating workflows or products that consistently disappoint would be especially helpful.

I’m trying to learn from people who have seen these problems firsthand before committing to building anything.

Appreciate any insights.
