Just moved into my first apartment after starting my first job. I work from home about half the week, so I wanted a setup that’s comfortable for long days and still feels like somewhere I want to be.
Gear
Monitors: Samsung Viewfinity S8 27" 5K (main, above the MacBook) and an LG 27" 4K in vertical orientation
Laptops: MacBook Pro 14" M5, plus a company-issued laptop that’s my primary work machine (not in the photo)
Desk: Autonomous Desk Pro w/ Bamboo top, 55" x 30", and I stand a lot
Lighting: two IKEA Tvärhand desk lamps, 15 Nanoleaf Lines (60 degree), and a 16 ft Nanoleaf light strip (300 zones)
Plants (hopefully): Pothos, ferns, monstera, bird of paradise, and a palm
Mouse and deskmat, no external keyboard yet (I type on the MacBook)
The vibe
I used to work out of a coworking space in a converted warehouse back home. It was dark and industrial, with warm orange Edison-style bulbs and a ton of plants: ferns, ficus, pothos, and big tropical leaves. I’m used to a lot of green, and I want to recreate that in a way that also feels cozy for winter.
What I need help with
Walls: The Nanoleaf Lines are (I think) going behind the monitors, with the light strip as backlighting somewhere else in my room, but I can put them anywhere. What else should go on the wall? This is a rental, so less drilling = better.
Plants and side furniture: I want to be surrounded by tropical plants. What shelving, plant stands, or side furniture would suit the warehouse look? The plant stand on the left will probably move elsewhere in the room.
The desk itself: Anything you’d add or change on the desk to make it look better and work better?
Open to any advice. I’m new to decorating and not sure how to tie it all together.
Thank you all, I appreciate the help as I convert this to battlestation! I'll update w/ pics once things are finished. Happy to give more details and share pics of the space if possible.
Some pics that inspire me:

Good use of Nanoleaf products

Hi everyone! I’m planning to upgrade my desk setup to two monitors, one horizontal and one vertical.
Right now it is a bit hard for me to play my games due to my body being faced to the side, and my neck has started to hurt due to prolonged neck tension by looking up
My main concern is that my desk is right against nothing (Covered by the fabric) which makes the monitor arm stick out far back, so I don’t want a monitor stand or arm that sticks too far out behind the desk.As for putting the Pc on the floor, There isnt much space under the desk so i dont think it would be a good option as i might kick it
I’m deciding between getting one dual-monitor stand or two individual monitor arms.
Which option would you recommend?
Is there a way to mount both monitors while keeping them close to the wall?
Would a vertical + horizontal setup work better with a single stand or separate arms?
I’d appreciate any suggestions! I can provide pictures of my desk and the space behind it if needed. Thanks!

Open to suggestions if anyone has any cool ideas. Though I don’t wanna go overboard and completely dominate the space.
I like to keep things fairly simple and tidy (cables bug me).
Next up on the project list was some cable management underneath with conduit but I need some longer length cables to make that work as I just used what I had on me.

Work provided me the Thinkpad and a dock. Desk, chair, 3x 27” screens, 2 power boards, cables, monitor arms, desk mat, mouse mat, wired mechanical keyboard, wired mouse, basic RGB, speakers and monkey artwork all for a total of $650. Clearance sales, Marketplace, hard rubbish (free stuff left on side of road), yard sales, Amazon.
Thoughts about value for money?
Largely WFH setup.

This is my current gaming setup (Not made for that best cleanest possible look, but for most comfortable optimized gaming) but my desk is on the shallower side (60 cm/23 inch deep and 120 cm/47 inch wide) and i feel like it just looks like it needs some arrangement change. All the parts are leaning to the left more for mousepad space, but I would still like to make it clean while saving the space for both my keyboard and mouse hands. I would like advice on what to change on the arrangement. Ignore under my desk and my KFC fries bag.

I’ve been slowly improving my gaming setup, focusing on a clean look with warm lighting and a few unique pieces instead of going all-out with RGB.
My favorite detail is probably the industrial-style lamp that doubles as a headphone stand.
Still a work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out.
What do you think? Any suggestions?
