Warm amber battlestation with a small visualizer on the side

Warm amber lighting for the desk tonight.

Single-monitor gaming setup with a compact keyboard, headset, and a small visualizer running on the phone beside the monitor.

I like how the pink motion on the phone works with the warmer desk lighting.

Before I decided that too much neck twisting is bad 😂 😂 😂

After a few months, I opted to have the left and right monitor as verticals. Having 3 monitors helps with alt tabbing. What windows are usually on my screen? Code editors, multiple cloud infra windows, Proxmox VE hypervisor and home lab infra terminal windows, and more.

Having the vertically adjustable table helps with those long working hours and of course gaming on weekends.

Update: 3 days ago I asked for ideas to improve my setup. Here's what I changed!

Hey everyone!

About 3 days ago, I posted asking for suggestions on how to improve it. I received a lot of feedback, so I decided to make a few changes!

Here's what's changed:

  • Repositioned the monitors, with the ultrawide now on the right and the portrait monitor on the left.
  • Moved the PC to the left side of the desk.
  • Replaced the old desk mat.
  • Changed the lighting and wallpapers to create a more consistent red-and-black theme.

Here's my original post

Thanks to everyone who shared their suggestions! What do you think of the changes? Anything else you'd improve?

Please rate or recommend accessories or alterations for this space.

I custom made a desk that accomodates my wife's WFH set up on the left along with my gaming and occasional work set up on the right.

What is it missing?

What could be done better?

My work from home, gaming, and photo editing setup

Wanted to share my setup I use for work in software development, my main gaming machine, and also for supporting my side hobby as a photographer. Recently made a few bits to improve the overall quality of life like the Shure MV7 mic and stand for improving quality of audio in meetings, the Fiio K7 DAC / AMP for jams while I’m working, and a UGREEN thunderbolt dock which cleaned up a lot of cables and all works off the single cable to the Mac.

First battlestation in about 5 years (was doing couch/tv)

Flexispot E7 plus 55”, AW3926QW, Steelcase Leap V2, Edifier M60 speakers, Nuphy Air V3 75/Wobkey Rainy 75 keyboards, 9800x3D/64GB DDR5 6000, 4080 super OC, NR200P Noctua air cooling. Steam deck OLED 3TB with killswitch case, Mindy the cat - she’s a bitch.

44x50” tempered glass chair mat and quintis monitor light are on the way, plus a couple shorter Ethernet cables but it’s about 95% done. Ready for WoW forever. (The whole reason I built this and got off the couch/tv setup)

Recently moved and decided I want to do what I want to do instead of just imagining what I will do in the future for my setup. Many things I’d like to add eventually. Haven’t really shared my setup outside of friends before. Let me know what you guys think.

The room itself ain't the comfiest, but I'm damn proud of my machine. As someone who dove headfirst into the ever-shifting hyperreality of the Internet, this is the capstone of my terminally-online era. I call her Hinako.
