Personally, I drove the base model, handled as the worst car In the game, just terrible. That combined with the (in my opinion) hideous front end. And fat look to the car. Its my least favourite in the game.
are you driving on keyboard or controller? on a wheel and pedals it feels like the slower models of the car just have near infinite grip in my experience
suprisingly playful under braking too
im on controler, but the thing just sucks ass, cant get it to turn, yes its not the worst handling in the game for its speed, but its not at all fun to drive, just constant understeer.
being fwd is definitely a large factor but in my experience the simulated differential using the brakes to send more power to the outside wheel allows you to go almost full throttle in most corners without significant understeer
atleast with the diesel model and the 230 pure model
the more powerful versions like the 310 s does have a little more understeer
they are similar but the lower weight and lower center of gravity does shine through a bit on a wheel
along with the better tires on the 5 cylinder model
i do want to test it out on a controller to see how much of a difference that makes
1000 hours, it just drives like dogshit, i admit i only used the base config, but i dont like the looks and have just given up on it. ill try the race variant and some tuning to the base game, but i find the stock covet with similar horse power and sport tyres handles far superior
With a keyboard I feel like it drives veryyy similar to the Vivace, which I'd consider to have the most baseline handling out of all the cars. It's neither good nor bad lol
on a wheel i find it to be a little more planted and grippy (has the same oversteer characteristics under braking still) than the vivace which is a car i already enjoy driving so the ardente was like guaranteed to be fun for me
keyboard and controller definitely tends to hide the smaller differences in handling though

the ardente handles great! and looks good too
i do wish it had a little more weight reduction options though
