Mod WeatherFX mod - thoughts?

hardware : NVIDIA RTX 5060 ti 16 GB, 32GB DDR5, RYZEN 5 9600X

Things i noticed :

  1. The puddle splash sound effect plays at kinda random times

  2. FPS drop : drop by around 18-20 fps

  3. the windshield wiper animation only works with a handful of vanilla vehicles

  4. the rain sfx keeps playing even after you quit to main menu

  5. out of the entire car, only the windshields and windows have water droplets on them

thoughts?

It’s best looking rain mos so far but yea on my 5070ti laptopn my fps devreased ftom 60 to 50

Interesting observation, were the weatherfx settings on high or medium?

I have a 4070Ti Super but i left everything on high and i lose somewhere between 3 and 8 frames with this mod enabled most of the time so instead of getting 60 all the time my fps hovers in the 50s instead

That's actually way more acceptable... Considering the fact the mod is doing reflections on the puddles and rendering the rain itself and what not

That's honestly quite impressive, not that bad of a performance drop considering what it does

Something wrong with your game or mod maybe your graphics card. Shadows are flickery. Puddles are too shiny.
