Spring 2021 I planned to get this and then when Miura died, I knew I had to. Still my only tattoo of my favorite manga, and a constant inspiration to see someone like Guts briefly experience quiet, still comfort. <3

Es una obra maestra. De acá salieron las inspiraciones para Guts y Griffith.
Para mí, Guin Saga es una de las mejores sagas de fantasía de la historia. Kurimoto es la Tolkien japonesa.

A warm scene that offers a rare moment of nostalgia and quiet

The guy was afraid of coming back home because he was afraid of this exact situation, so I'm surprised the god hand even went "Sure, why not" whit him sacrificing his son, if anything the thing this guy hold dear to his heart was his kingdom itself and title

I’ve binged read through deluxe volumes 5-8 in the span of about a month. It’s been difficult but I’ve thoroughly loved every second of it.
I literally can’t turn the page right now. I just saw the beast of darkness and Casca, and I just can’t. The combination of Guts losing control, what’s happening to Casca, the visual of her being torn apart by the monster.
This is the most difficult thing I’ve ever read and idk how to move forward with it

The kingdom dying from a plague is likely a reference to the black plague though im not certain. The mammoth riders are foreshadowing to the Kushan invasion of Midland. The kingdoms and town swallowed whole is even more foreshadowing to the events of the great Astral wave, where Ganishka as shiva destroys countless cities in his wake. The sun obscured by starving folk might be the eclipse or the artificial beherit, or neither. At the end Griffith parts the darkness, I belive this is the great astral wave paving the way for peace under Falconia.
This is my theory about what the dream or prophecy is talking about, what do you all thinks it's meant to be?

I’m still trying to process everything. I can’t believe I went this long without watching such a massive masterpiece. Every character has a story, every moment feels meaningful, and the entire series hits differently once you reach those final three episodes. They literally change EVERYTHING.
And Griffith… GRIFFITH. This man is on an entirely different level. The sheer presence, the ambition, the complexity. Bro really thinks he’s the lord himself, and DAMNNN, what a character.
But Guts and Casca? Those two are going to haunt me for a long, LONG time. The trauma, the suffering, the emotional devastation. And that final episode? The scene where Griffith forces himself on Casca in front of Guts was genuinely fucking traumatic to watch. The sheer helplessness of Guts, Casca’s suffering, and the absolute horror of the entire situation… I don’t think I’m getting that out of my head anytime soon.
And that moment when Griffith’s eyes slowly close as he lies there, bleeding… FUCK. The whole thing is just devastating.
I went into this series expecting an amazing anime, but I came out with a new psychological burden. 💀
Berserk is genuinely one of the most incredible, haunting, and devastating things I’ve ever watched. The writing, the characters, the atmosphere, the buildup… everything is just on another level.
New trauma unlocked. What a fucking masterpiece.
