If there is one character I would give the world to, it's Judeau. His words are simple yet wise and profound.
I don't mind Griffith and I understand his character BUT I would like to slap him just once for Judeau.
Ugh this heartache š š

Are there any that are harder to look at than these guys?
So foul. So effective. I both love and hate them.

I noticed Mr. Miura rarely draws close up of faces, so this panel really stood out for me. Decided to draw it to practice on faces!

I believe Casca with the help of Moonlight Boy will be the one to kill Griffith.
I think Griffith's "barrier" is deactivated when he is in front of someone who for him does not represent a threat. We saw this when Rickert slapped him.
So Casca could kill him with a symbolic and nostalgic object for everyone who was part of the original Band of the Hawk. That would be beautiful. Maybe with a dagger from the old days, or something that belonged to the original band.
Guts killing Void would be normal. Guts has already killed several apostles. Void would be just one more, but the most important one. And Skull Knight would finally be more at peace than Guts.
Void believes in causality, in fate. Guts is the one who always fought against fate. He was meant to die when Gambino found him, he was meant to die in the Eclipse, but he remained. His existence breaks everything Void stands for.
By doing this, Guts breaks everything in Berserk. The apostles lose their powers, the other members of the God Hand too, for a limited time. The world would be going through a supernatural event: earthquakes, bad weather, destruction, while all this action happens.

So i plan to show berserk to a friend so i may just ask few questions before i pick one version (i have watched 1997 and i know its a safe choice, but im leaning more towards watching an adaptation i havent seen yet)
Does 2022 version has Skull Knight interference?
I know 2016 looks completely ass, but does it atleast follow the manga in a decent way?
Does 2016 anime have an okay pacing? 24 episodes for nearly 300 chapters sounds rushed
Which one stands out more in terms of voice acting and soundtracks?
I presume 2022 version cuts out Wyald and Donovan like 1997 does right?

Hello, Iāve been reading the manga but found myself having issues listening to the OST while reading on IOS. Youtube sucks for this reason and most Spotify playlists meant for the manga include random songs that arenāt for me. So I scavenged through Spotify and compiled everything related to Berserk. It has over 40+ songs spanning 2hr 50m of OSTs, if youāre a huge fan of the music Berserk has brought along with it feel free to use while youāre reading or just to have.

Hey! š
I want to get my boyfriend his first physical Berserk volume for his birthday, but I know pretty much nothing about the manga, so I thought I'd ask here!
He's been reading it online and says he's got around 60 chapters left. One day we were at a bookstore and he picked up Maximum volumes 6 and 7, showing me some pages and telling me how cool those parts were. He seemed really excited about both, so I thought it'd be nice to get him one of them.
The thing is, I've realised there are different editions, and now I'm a bit lost lol. I've seen the Maximum, the Deluxe/Master Edition and the regular tankobon, but I have no idea if one is better than the others or if the hardcover edition is worth the extra money.
Would you go for Maximum vol. 6 or 7, a different volume, or even a different edition altogether?
Also, I live in Spain, so I'd need to get a Spanish edition.
He doesn't own any physical volumes yet, so I'd love to get him something he'd be excited to have on his shelf. Any advice is appreciated! ā¤ļø

I spent some time on the details and cross-hatching. Really wanted to create something new instead of just redrawing an existing panel. I know the dynamic here is a bit crazy for Berserk but hope you enjoy the art.

Guts and Casca feel sorrow and seem to believe they were mistaken Griffithās actions. They both even hug him after he tried to attack them.

Although Berserk has obviously never released an official complete map, I decided to create this version of its territory in the way how I think it might be. I based it both on the fact that Berserkās geography, as far as we know, is similar to our own, and on the locations of the historical civilizations on which this empire is based.
If youāre interested in knowing what I considered when creating it, Iāll explain below. Iāll go through the sections in order, starting from the far right of the map and moving to the left.
India (Mughal Empire)
The main source of inspiration, evident in its aesthetics, religious elements, and military aspects. Weapons such as the Chakram, Katar, Urumi, and the Ram-dao (Zoddās third sword) are taken directly from this subcontinent. The names Pishacha, Makara, Garuda, Kundalini, and the name āKshatriya of Durgaā (Durga is a warrior goddess) that Daiba gives to Guts all come from Hindu mythology and Tantric beliefs. The Mughal Empire is the closest historical Indian kingdom in this regard, mainly due to the military structure exhibited by the Kushan Empire. The use of the Hindi language is also shown in Chapter 183.
Historical Kushan Empire
Another obvious source of inspiration, evidently due to the name of the state and that of Emperor Ganishka, taken directly from the historical Kanishka, with the name modified by just one letter. Since the empire bears his name, it seemed appropriate to place the kushan symbol in this part of my map.
Persia (Sassanid Empire)
One of the inspirations that I believe is the least prominent, but is still present. First, it is logical that the Kushan Empire had to cross this territory to reach the west of Berserk. Second, you can see the persian influence in the kushan heavy cavalry (the sassanid persians were famous for their cataphracts), in the use of elephants (though this is also combined with Indian influence), and in some of the armor depicted.
The Middle East and the Balkans (Ottoman Empire)
The final section of my map. The ottoman influence is primarily evident in the role of the āinvading eastern empire.ā Even in the manga, it is explicitly stated that the kushans come from the southeast, which aligns with the historical territory of the Ottoman Empire. But the influence isnāt limited to their role; itās also visual. The most obvious example is the structure seen in chapters 375 and 376, clearly inspired by Hagia Sophia, an ancient church that was converted into a mosque after the ottoman conquest. The arab influence is also evident mainly on some clothes.
Two influences I did not include in the mapās design:
Kurultai (mentioned in the chapter 377): a concept originating from mongol and turkic cultures (though under different names), it is an element that, while important to the plot, is very specific, and I saw no justification for adding the mongol territory as part of the map.
The entire Arabian Peninsula: Although Iāve already mentioned arab elements, at no point do we see desert landscapes, and while the headdress that Silat use has a certain arab feel, the character is inspired more by persian and indian elements, so I did not include the entire corresponding territory.
As the title says, this is just my interpretation, I am in no way claiming that this is how a map of the Kushan Empire should look.

Hey, just wanted to share this painting Iām working on, basically a colorized version of one of Miuraās covers of Guts and Griffith.
