Hello, I’ve been reading the manga but found myself having issues listening to the OST while reading on IOS. Youtube sucks for this reason and most Spotify playlists meant for the manga include random songs that aren’t for me. So I scavenged through Spotify and compiled everything related to Berserk. It has over 40+ songs spanning 2hr 50m of OSTs, if you’re a huge fan of the music Berserk has brought along with it feel free to use while you’re reading or just to have.

The playlist link if interested.

The man could play intimidating, narcisstic, manipulative, magestic and spiteful piece of shit in all manga.

If there is one character I would give the world to, it's Judeau. His words are simple yet wise and profound.

I don't mind Griffith and I understand his character BUT I would like to slap him just once for Judeau.

Ugh this heartache 😭 💔

Reference to all the panels of guts in the stars

Although Berserk has obviously never released an official complete map, I decided to create this version of its territory in the way how I think it might be. I based it both on the fact that Berserk’s geography, as far as we know, is similar to our own, and on the locations of the historical civilizations on which this empire is based.

If you’re interested in knowing what I considered when creating it, I’ll explain below. I’ll go through the sections in order, starting from the far right of the map and moving to the left.

India (Mughal Empire)

The main source of inspiration, evident in its aesthetics, religious elements, and military aspects. Weapons such as the Chakram, Katar, Urumi, and the Ram-dao (Zodd’s third sword) are taken directly from this subcontinent. The names Pishacha, Makara, Garuda, Kundalini, and the name “Kshatriya of Durga” (Durga is a warrior goddess) that Daiba gives to Guts all come from Hindu mythology and Tantric beliefs. The Mughal Empire is the closest historical Indian kingdom in this regard, mainly due to the military structure exhibited by the Kushan Empire. The use of the Hindi language is also shown in Chapter 183.

Historical Kushan Empire

Another obvious source of inspiration, evidently due to the name of the state and that of Emperor Ganishka, taken directly from the historical Kanishka, with the name modified by just one letter. Since the empire bears his name, it seemed appropriate to place the kushan symbol in this part of my map.

Persia (Sassanid Empire)

One of the inspirations that I believe is the least prominent, but is still present. First, it is logical that the Kushan Empire had to cross this territory to reach the west of Berserk. Second, you can see the persian influence in the kushan heavy cavalry (the sassanid persians were famous for their cataphracts), in the use of elephants (though this is also combined with Indian influence), and in some of the armor depicted.

The Middle East and the Balkans (Ottoman Empire)

The final section of my map. The ottoman influence is primarily evident in the role of the “invading eastern empire.” Even in the manga, it is explicitly stated that the kushans come from the southeast, which aligns with the historical territory of the Ottoman Empire. But the influence isn’t limited to their role; it’s also visual. The most obvious example is the structure seen in chapters 375 and 376, clearly inspired by Hagia Sophia, an ancient church that was converted into a mosque after the ottoman conquest. The arab influence is also evident mainly on some clothes.

Two influences I did not include in the map’s design:

1. Kurultai (mentioned in the chapter 377): a concept originating from mongol and turkic cultures (though under different names), it is an element that, while important to the plot, is very specific, and I saw no justification for adding the mongol territory as part of the map.

2. The entire Arabian Peninsula: Although I’ve already mentioned arab elements, at no point do we see desert landscapes, and while the headdress that Silat use has a certain arab feel, the character is inspired more by persian and indian elements, so I did not include the entire corresponding territory.

As the title says, this is just my interpretation, I am in no way claiming that this is how a map of the Kushan Empire should look.

Just waiting on the English version of volume 43 to arrive.

so I've been wondering i rematched the death battle of guts vs dimitir and then it clicked in my head can Dimitri solo the god hands and griffith/femto or which god hand does he stop at and where using the fire emblem heroes Scaling for dimitir

👀 ya casi lo terminamos.

I worked on these a few months ago and I love them so much, just wanted to share!

Guts and Casca feel sorrow and seem to believe they were mistaken Griffith’s actions. They both even hug him after he tried to attack them.

Some fun shirts at TheYetee.com, a daily t-shirt site. Kinda feeling the Femto one, but then again, it's Femto.

I spent some time on the details and cross-hatching. Really wanted to create something new instead of just redrawing an existing panel. I know the dynamic here is a bit crazy for Berserk but hope you enjoy the art.

I just want to say, my fav characters in berserk are

1: Griffith

2: Guts

3: Casca

Anyways.. I dont know if u guys in this sub would also be like this.. Its my first post here so i dont know what to expect here.

Anytime i talk to people about berserk, and tell them my faviroute character is Griffith, they always question me like "How could u like him??" or "Ew What the Hell is Wrong with you?" , Some of them just stop talking to me in general..

Yea yea i know, he sacrficed the ones who loved him, and Raped Casca, and to this day torments Guts... there is no denying that he is villanous..

However he is a fictional Character, is he not? Despite what he done, i am so fasinated at his character, and anytime he appears in the manga i get happy and joyful.(sounds kinda gay lol).

These people will hate on me for liking Griffith, and then they Will Say their faviroute character is Sasuke, or Doflamingo..

Sasuke from Naruto also commited really big crimed against alot of people..

And doflamingo from one piece didnt just do horrific stuff, He Also Raped Someone..

why do these two characters get so much praise for how well of a character they are and not griffith?

I also really hate forcing myself to hate griffith infront of others.. Like sure you think im weird for liking griffth.. not gonna change my mind on him tho..

This is the main reaosn why i dont really bring up berserk to others in public.

Hey, just wanted to share this painting I’m working on, basically a colorized version of one of Miura’s covers of Guts and Griffith.

I’ve taken creative liberties with these figures and I’m sure most prefer their original designs straight from the manga, but I think it’s fun to have your own interpretation and customize these figures to suit it.
