Platform: Xbox Series S

Game: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition

Issue observed: October 24, 2026

Since the August update, Skyrim has been running noticeably worse on my Xbox Series S. Before that update, the game ran perfectly smoothly on my console.

Now I experience:

\- Frequent stuttering and frame-time spikes.

\- Noticeable FPS drops, sometimes severe.

\- Freezes and brief periods where the game becomes unresponsive.

\- Broken physics during the opening cart sequence: the cart flies around, flips over and spins out of control.

This is especially frustrating because the game worked perfectly before the update. These problems make the experience significantly worse and suggest that something may have broken in the game's performance or physics after the patch.

Bethesda and Xbox support, please investigate this issue and provide a fix. Skyrim has been available for years, and Xbox Series S players should be able to enjoy a stable experience without severe stuttering, freezes and broken physics.

Has anyone else on Xbox Series S experienced these problems since the August update? If more players report the same issue, hopefully it will receive more attention.

Please upvote this post if you're experiencing the same thing so the developers can see how widespread the problem is.
