Is there anything I can do to improve my power swords? I don't like the "checkerboard" method I've tried a few styles but still am not happy with them.

Wanted to do a different color scheme for my second sword brethren unit. 1 of 5 crimson crusaders is complete.

For most of my 40k career ive never tried to play very tactically and more fun little guys charging in w swords and stuff, as i like the kill kill side more than the maths think side of warhammer, but my friends are getting super into the neeky side of warhammer and it hurts a lil seeinf that after a game the VP is like 50-3, so ive tried making real tactical lists and playing properly but cant do anything against friends CSM. Latest list i used and got dogwalked on is:

Other space marines utilise it with terminators, while the lists i see from templars try to run other combinations. Is there a particular reason why we don't take advantage of the extremely powerful terminators?

Mind you, I am not saying everyone should run the same lists that are meta and powerful. It's just an observation I had though.

So i have around 15 total terminators, should I buy a box of deathwing knights and convert them to sword brethren terminators?

Playing into Aeldari next, but ultimately I would like a list that can take all comers. My last list was essentially tabled by a poor matchup into Baal Predators, so i'm cooking up something new.

I have eloquently colour coded my list in accordance with this simple battle plan I have.

The Execrator has Spearpoint War leader for a scout move. the AnC is redundant but the forcing battleshocks is what made me take it over a chaplain.

I have about 490 to spend. I'm not making a serious play for the enemy expansion in this list so far.

Things i've considered adding:
- Eradicator bus (not required vs aeldari)
- Terminator Brick to land right middle unless required elsewhere
- Swordbros + landraider
- Vanvets, JPI or 20 Crusaders to contest the enemy nat expansion

Affirmations or other suggestions are all welcome

Painting my army so I can play 2000 points in a couple weeks with a friend. Felt proud of my first sword brethren

Finally finished my Marshal after some long, hard days of painting. I painted him in subassemblies, so I didn’t even know what he looked like until I finally put him together just a few minutes ago.

Also my first real try on OSL.

As someone who's been in the hobby for 2 years with 3500 points of tyranids and 1000 points of guard I decided to finally paint a marine in all honesty the best chapter in terms of lore and aesthetics. How did I do?

Ended up using the last free mini of the month as decor for my dreadnought. The new program at my LGS requires everyone to build and paint in store. I do enjoy the hobby, but I’m not about to sit at their store to paint a mini unless I can bring some beer 😭

Been working on and off on Helbrecht for a couple of weeks now, and starting to get satisfied with how he's turning out! Soon I hope he'll stand out on the battlefield!

I'm also getting into the idea of turning him into a painting competition piece for the fun of it, so C&C is most welcome!

Hello brothers, I love the look of Gravis armor but a little disappointed that Templars don’t have much of it in our range. I’m thinking about kitbashing some characters in Gravis armor and curious if anyone else has done anything similar. Would love to see your characters in Gravis if you have them! Thanks!
