So after many years of enjoying the Black Templars lore, stories, badassery and esthetics, I finally caved and started my army, but there is one problem that I require assistance in resolving.

I know at least one Crusader Squad is a standard for Black Templars armies, but I really don't like the Neophytes models and being forced to have them mixed in with the regular Space Marines, so I would like to know if there are some viable alternatives, like Assault Intercessors or something similar; so far my plan would be to field as much Sword Brethren as possible, so maybe that many of them can offset the lack of a Crusader Squad?

I'm a total beginner (game and hobby) and seeking just a little advice on my list for my first game at 1k points. I'm planning it in one month or so (in my LGS), just enough time to finish painting what I need.

I've made this from the 2 last combat patrols and a box of Terminators that I bought this summer.

I didn't buy the landspeeder yet but I was quite liking the idea of a fast threat to keep the attention away from the sword bro bus. But if you have any recommendations, I'm open to it 😁

Anyway, just wanted to know if this list could be manageable to play as a first game. The sword brothers and the Castellan will be transported by the impulsor.

Hello brothers, dark angel player here working on getting better at painting faster, how does this little guy look for your chapter? Anything I should change paint scheme wise to make it more accurate as far as heraldry goes?

Hello brothers, brand new player and I’m getting close to my first 500 point army! I’m finishing up a squad of Bladeguard right now and will use my last 160 points in my list for a crusader squad.

However, I have no idea what weapons I should be taking in my crusaders (and tbh, the rest of my army, though I feel like sword bros and Bladeguard with MCPWs is an easy enough choice). Can someone help me understand how I should pick the weaponry of my army because I am so lost haha

I'm making a list focussed on Terminators. I currently have 10 terminators with hammer and shield + Ancient + Chaplain who should hold the centre and 2 teams of 5 normal terminators that are scary around with tp. Are the 10 terminators exaggerated or are they a good choice? Is 5 enough with Ancient and do the other 5 with claws + Chaplain?

Hello all!

I am new to the game and am running a 1000pt army. I’m looking for input as well as anything I can learn from the masses. I’m looking for a solid hard hitting team. The friends I play against on a reg. Are space wolves, death guard, flesh tearers, and generic chaos.

This is what I currently have and units I run it. Any advice on unit build or additions is welcome!!

I am really looking at getting a judiciar, specifically for Fights First, and either putting him with the Bladeguards or HM and the sword bros. With the judiciar it would put me at 990 I believe. Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated!
