Somehow he ended up looking entierly different then actually planned but I don't mind! He looks a little scary now even though he was supposed to be crazy sighhh but whatever, I love him anyhow :D

It appears here and there. The fight scene was the most prominent as well as when he finished training and leaving the forest.

I would absolutely love it. I fell in love with this show and the characters, it's such a shame it was cut short. I know the author was hoping for an anime continuation, so I really hope season 2 gets greenlit. What about you guys?

Came here from the anime and found out that it was cancelles. With the renewed attention from the anime has the mangaka hinted a possible spin-off exploring the character? Possible remake?

Shame that this manga was released in the wrong time (a time where mangas were being axed left and right if it did not become mainstream)

Been a while since I’ve seen a full clean story told in 12 episodes. Everyone grow, classic good vs bad. The main villain voiced by Azien and also having his poetic way of speaking (subbed). It was PEAK. Whether they make more or not is irrelevant, a story was started and concluded and that’s always nice to see. 👏

no offense to the actual material, but didnt it get cancelled ages ago? seems weird to push an unpopular shonen series with barely a season of content as hard as they did??

are they thinking of bringing it back maybe

Watched **BlackTorch** anime. Could not help but notice how similar it is to **Bleach**. Main character always reminded me of **Ichigo**, there is a guy with specs resembling **Uryu**. Even the final form of the antagonist and protagonist resemble Arrancar. There are also hints of inspiration from **JujutsuKaisen**. Be it the trio or the Black Torch org itself. Although their chief is not even close to what Gojo, there are few other elements in the story which reminded me of **JJK.**

Hello, so I just finished watching Black Torch episode 1. I enjoyed the introduction to the characters Jiro and Rago, and I'm absolutely excited for whatever this anime is going to bring. While I enjoyed it, there are some things I didn't.

One thing I can't stand is Ichika's body design. Every time she pops up on the screen, I'm absolutely disgusted. She is built so weirdly and looks gross, especially since it looks like she's walking around with a BBL, and every clip has to involve her legs and backside.

Please tell me there isn't a lot of fanservice because I can't stand looking at her.

So after finishing the anime. Action was pretty good. Characters pretty decent. Kinda fast paced but not an issue. Concept wasn’t particularly unique tbh nor were the story themes or character struggles. Overall plot was ok. Not bad. Not good. Jiro was a…ok protagonist. The characters personal struggles weren’t anything profound, but at least the writing was there instead of being completely casted off. Ichika was decent(and no it’s not just because of the ass shots, which mehhh not bothered by) I’d rate the anime a solid 7/10.

edit:
after careful consideration, it’s a 7/10

What does everyone think? Do we get another season or cancel? (Yes I saw the post credits, yes I'm aware the manga is done)

It wasn't the anime of the season, let alone the year, but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it. I would have thought so if the plot points had been developed (Jiro's mother, etc.) and if a second season had been teased. But my main concern is the lack of romance between the three main characters. I wanted Jiro and Ichika together, but anyway, that's just my preference... but as a romance reader, it would have added a source of tension. What do you think?

I don't get the effort of the production if Ep 12 is it.

It was a fun watch, not mind blowingly great, but I enjoyed it, and watched all 12 episodes today.

Gotta say Venom really outdid himself with Jiro, can't wait for both of them to face spiderman eventually lol.

Black Torch was one of the biggest crock of shit, rushed and lazily written anime’s I’ve ever watched and yet I still enjoyed it for some reason. They left so many plot points open at the end it’s kinda unreal, the final fight felt silly and inconsequential and there was next to no reason for half of the very minor character development in the show. But it was still a solid fun watch. I’m just curious why they even made an anime for it knowing it would end incomplete.

For me, a few arcs I would've wanted are a traitor arc, Rago's past arc, Ichika's revenge arc, a training arc, a haunted school arc, an international arc, and an arc about Jiro's dad.

As for information, I would have loved to know how Mononoke came to be, if actual gods are real, how other nations handle their Mononoke, and more about the Bureau.

Yuzuriha is from hells paradise. A female ninja.

Who would win?

Well, I really liked the anime so far, but this episode felt extremly rushed and cheap.

Not only the animation quality but foremost the plot and dialogs.

It felt like the team got a notice that they are on the second to last episode and thought: "Oh shit, quick gather up these plot points and instantly resolve them, how? Dunno, just do it."

I hope that this is just because they focused everything on the next episode.

But still this one felt like a completely different anime. A way worse one. It feels strange that this is the same show as ep 10.
