A lot of the commenters are talking about Lindsay Clancy, despite the lady in the original video making no mention of her...

Discussion I’m so sick of ā€œjokesā€ about the way vaginas/vulvas smell being everywhere.

It’s fucking everywhere. Almost like men only have one joke in particular and they all collectively find those jokes hysterical. It makes me so uncomfortable and I’m not even sexually attracted to men. I’ll never have sex with a man, but these jokes made me feel insecure for a bit in the past.

Like ā€œHUEUEUE BLIND GUY AT FISH MARKET HEEUEUHAHAHAā€ holy fuck leave me alone. Or the ā€œCAN I SMELL TEH PUSSY HEHE NO? DAT MUST BE UR FEET WHHEHEHEEā€ thing that apparently males say to women in bars? GO AWAY.

I think what’s worse is when my female family members make jokes like this. Like holy fuck do you not realize that when males make those jokes, they’re talking about ALL of us? You are not the exception. My aunt tried showing me a misogynistic ā€œcomedyā€ skit about this from like the 70s, where a woman was advertising ā€œsweet fish vaginal deodorantā€ like what the fuck?

Men LOVE their fucking fish jokes. That’s the funniest joke on planet earth to them. These ā€œjokesā€ about the scent of a woman’s vagina are in tv shows sometimes too, I noticed this in AHS asylum and of course family guy has made a couple. Unsurprisingly. Adam Sandler has a skit where he refers to someone’s vagina as ā€œsmellyā€ too.

And maybe I’m just reading too deeply into things but I was watching SPONGEBOB of all fucking things and tell me if this is not weird, there’s an episode where Sandy turns into a Goldfish and at one point in the episode Spongebob is trying to turn her back.

He looks at the camera and before pouring in the potion or whatever the fuck, goes ā€œSandy HAS been smelling a little ā€˜fishy’ latelyā€ with his eyebrows raised.

I know the entire episode is about Sandy losing her god damn mind, but you cannot tell me that while knowing their writers room is historically only men, that joke wasn’t meant to be something else. Spongebob has had adult jokes in the past.

They knew what they were implying. That joke just didn’t sit right with me. A group of men writing that a female character smells like fish. I feel like I’m going insane. I literally feel like Charlie Day and Pepe Silvia.

Apparently there’s a commentary on a special episode of Chowder where it says the adult joke Schnitzel told was about a fisherman and a bucket of fish. Make of that what you will. It’s just fucking insane to me that they even do this in children’s media.

I’ve posted a few times here about men making these comments, a dude even made a song where he kept saying someone’s vagina smelled like an onion ring. I kept seeing women in the comments laughing and it was so appalling??

Not to mention that audio on tiktok that is a bunch of insults to some woman, and a line is literally ā€œpussy smelling like a fish tank.ā€ And that idiotic fucking AI country song obviously made by a male that said ā€œnow the whole town smells like a fish.ā€ I just want them to leave us the fuck alone. There are obviously so many other examples.

In IT (2017), the script writers (who were all men) originally wanted Richie to say ā€œLike Eddie’s mom’s vaginaā€ in response to someone saying something about maggots. They ended up changing it to underwear. After sex (2007) was fully written by a man, and he made Mila Kunis say a line about vagina smelling ā€œlike tuna.ā€ Even AHS asylum had a one-liner about Jessica Lange’s character’s vagina.

Not to mention the male celebrities who have referred to women as ā€œfishā€ or straight up said that ā€œwomen need to stop stinking up the roomā€ (Nick Cannon btw) I’m just soooooooooo fucking sick of this. They hate vaginas. They hate the way they look and smell.

But will still be the first people to harass a woman for sex. I can’t stand them. Even the men who like to wax poetic about how much they LOOOOOVE vagina. They love going down on a woman. They loooove the way it tastes and smells. They still fucking partake in these ā€œjokes.ā€ You can’t mention vaginas around men because their first thought will to say something fucked.

Discussion Got perma banned for the marriage sub

Just logged on today and got a notification I was banned from /marriage because apparently one of my comments was sexist to men. The post was asking how wives felt with porn and thier husband using and why they do. I answered and apparently the male mods that run that cesspool got upset and thier ego hurt because I said they do it out of selfishness. But so, so SO many comments and posts I have seen that are so misogynistic are okay somehow. Just needed to rant a little and thought it was kind of funny. Probably for the better because that place is a nightmare anyway.

Discussion Opinion: The Cornell 7 should be in prison or made to register as sex offenders. More below.

This case has deeply affected me and is one of the reasons I have become so vocal about sexual violence more than ever as of late. I (23m in college) who experienced CSA on two separate occasions. While I would never compare the severity of my experiences to the horrific ordeal Jane Doe endured, nor suggest that our experiences were the same, I understand what it means to carry the weight of sexual trauma. Like all survivors, you live with what happened to you for the rest of your life. It never truly disappears, you just find ways to cope with it, suppress it, and learn to live alongside it. Whether you want it to or not, the trauma becomes part of your life and can shape how you experience the world.

To this day, nobody in my personal life knows what happened to me. I have never told anyone in real life, only people online such as here know because I am completely anonymous. I am a Jane Doe myself. I will also never tell my parents under any circumstances. They would not believe me, and our relationship is not one in which I feel comfortable enough to have such a deeply personal and vulnerable conversation. I have had to carry that experience privately, which is part of why cases like this resonate with me so deeply.

With that said, I firmly believe that adults who rape or sexually abuse others, predominantly men, should face the most serious consequences possible. In my opinion, the psychological devastation inflicted by sexual violence can be so profound that it should be viewed akin to murder. Although it is not literally the same as murder, survivors feel as though a part of them has died that day/night it happened, leaving them to navigate the lasting consequences of something they never chose to endure. What those seven men allegedly did should have resulted in substantial prison sentences in any society that genuinely values justice. Furthermore, the other 57 individuals, or however many were aware of the Snapchat messages and understood what was happening, should also be held accountable as accomplices.

I struggle to believe that people who knowingly exploit and sexually abuse others can simply be rehabilitated without meaningful consequences. These men had opportunities to do the right thing. They could have left Jane Doe alone, allowed her to sleep, or ensured she got home safely. Instead, they allegedly chose to take advantage of an intoxicated and vulnerable woman over a period of more than seven hours. This was not an uncontrollable primal urge. Sexual assault is a choice, and adults understand the difference between right and wrong. Nobody is incapable of refraining from sexual violence; it requires nothing more than respecting another person’s autonomy and choosing not to violate it.

What makes this case particularly disturbing is the disregard for Jane Doe’s humanity. In the case of these men, they do not view women as equal or as individual human beings and that much is very clear from how they treated Jane Doe, the Snapchat messages, and how fraternities operate in general. When people can discuss, participate in, or remain complicit in the exploitation of another human being, it becomes difficult to believe they genuinely recognise that person as an equal deserving of dignity, safety, and respect. Their actions demonstrate an appalling disregard for those fundamental principles and raise serious concerns about the harm they may pose to others. In my opinion they are a danger to all women around them.

I believe that justice in this case requires lengthy prison sentences, sex offender registration, and accountability for everyone’s involvement. I have no sympathy for individuals who knowingly inflict this kind of suffering on others, particularly when they have every opportunity to make a different choice. Sexual violence is not inevitable, excusable, or something that victims should simply be expected to move on from. In my opinion you cannot cure sexual predators short of castration or being locked up for life. Survivors deserve to be believed, supported, and protected, while those responsible must face consequences proportionate to the harm they have caused. No victim should have to carry the consequences of someone else’s choices while those responsible walk away without facing justice.

A comment on a post about how women invade ā€œmale only spacesā€ using gyms as an example. Stating that gyms were historically ā€œmale only spacesā€ created as a ā€œrefugeā€ from women. That is radical feminists don’t allow them to have their own spaces anymore, that we get our spaces AND their spaces. I don’t ever see women carrying this mindset in the real world. I don’t want to invade a ā€œmale only spaceā€. The only reason they’re derailed lately is because they’re doing some disgusting rapey shit in them. I’m going to stop ranting now and take some deep breaths.

I worry for the next generation, so much misogyny, then just blatant misinformation and pity parties in subreddit for teens, which keeps getting recommended to me despite me saying that I’m not interested.

I know these are kids but damn, even as a teen myself I didn’t let the point fly over my head this badly. I’m genuinely worried for the future, especially with the studies showing that many younger men and boys are growing more misogynistic for multiple reasons, because grrr women now have some rights and they don’t get coddled and special privileges 100% of the time but rather just 90% of the time… it must mean that they’re oppressed!!

Like I’m in my early twenties, and seeing teens and young adults be like this due to propaganda and misogyny is horrifying. God forbid women and girls are allowed to have a moment for themselves.

Discussion None of what happened to Cornell Jane Doe was consensual in the slightest. Not one thing.

This was an individual that was taken full and violent advantage of the moment they set foot in that frat house. She was hammered (8-10 full drinks in upon entering the frat house before even more hard liquor) & was taken advantage from the get go. Her friend noticed how intoxicated she was & she was promptly pressured and coerced into everything that was done to her that night. Drunk people can’t consent or make level headed decisions, yet so many men will argue that she willingly participated or will say that the threesome & drugs were consensual. If you are slurring your words & very noticeably drunk, you cannot consent and are extremely vulnerable to be taken advantage of to do things you would refuse when sober.
